Work Text:
10. Fortitude
The metal grip felt strange in Kairi's hand.
Oddly... light, like it was made of tin, but also sturdy as steel and as warm as the glowing sensation in her chest. She could feel Riku's eyes on her, watching intently as she examined the flowered blade that she clutched in her palm. There were heartless closing in around them, still somehow managing to look menacing despite their lumbering gaits and googly eyes.
Fear stabbed at her heart, but she stamped it down. Gritting her teeth, Kairi brandished her keyblade menacingly in front of her.
She was done letting the boys do all the work.
“This time... I'LL fight.”
