Chapter Text

“If you throw that snowball this means war.” Impulse warns, eyeing Grian as he toddles about collecting snow in his gloved hands.

Said little one only hums, picking up another clump of snow from the ground and bringing it up to his face to examine it. After a moment of consideration, the little nods and chucks the snowball as hard as he can towards Impulse.

He of course misses, his aim being terribly uncoordinated while in his headspace. And instead of hitting Impulse’s chest he hits Mumbo in the side of his head, who looks both shocked and on the verge of tears within a matter of seconds.

It doesn’t help when Zedaph starts giggling at him. His laughter doesn’t last long as Grian throws yet another snowball, this time aimed at him instead.

“I saw dat!” Zedaph shouts and within a couple of moments, he is making his own snowball and is throwing it back towards Grian, who gives a squawk in return.

Zedaph’s attack does not go unchecked. The sheep regressor is almost instantly pelted back by Grian the moment the winged hermit gets a chance to make up another snowball. And with a squeak, Zedaph runs for cover.

It just so happens that Xisuma was the closest thing to him at the moment. A certain admin being covered in flying snow before he even knows what’s happening.

Zedaph giggles again, finding it highly amusing whenever one of his friends get pelted. “Silly ‘uma. You all snowy.” He points out, rather unhelpfully.

“Yes, I am.”

Zedaph hums a bit in thought. A snowball comes dangerously close to him, and he gives a yelp. No time for thinking, he’s gotta run.

“Buy ‘Zuma!” He calls, while running away, Grian hot on his heels.

Meanwhile False is trying to help Mumbo who’s still standing in the same spot as he was when hit.

“Aww Mumbo.” False coos, and rushes to grab the little and get him out of the line of fire before more snow can be thrown up into the air.

He’s just sort of shut down, lip wobbling with tears threatening to spill at any given second.

“Are you alright bub?”

“Falsie it hurts” The little whines.

“I bet that did.” False agreed. “Let me see?”

The age regressor carefully takes his hands away from his head, looking at his caregiver sadly. She wipes snow off the little’s face, earning a whine and a small pout. He really wasn’t hit that hard, but False doesn’t think it keen to explain that to an upset 6-year-old. So instead, she presses a kiss to his temple. “There all better.”

He simply whimpers again. False hums in thought. “How about we head inside? Maybe check up on how Tango and Scar are doing?” The little quickly nods.

“Up?”

False nods, scooping the age regressor up into her arms.

“We’re going to head inside!” False calls out to Xisuma, giving the admin a heads up, who in turn nods and waves them off.

“Come on love, let’s go see what our friends are up too.”
