Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

"So Angel, how are things progressing?" Having met again in the Room of Reckoning , Joshua once again sat upon his throne. "You said drama was to ensue, and I must say, things are entertaining as they are. But I'm assuming this isn't all?"

Angel smiled, lips curled upwards beneath his half mask. "Indeed. It's almost like you know me personally~ As you've likely surmised, I've had less time to watch your dimension due to increasing tensions in my own. Thought it might be faster just to drop in and see how you were all doing?"

Joshua held his curtain-like fringe to one side as he smirked. "Better than I had hoped. Everyone agreed to be the new Reaper outfit for Shibuya, which certainly helped jump-start things back to normal. Their first Game as a Reaper Team wasn't a total failure either. Pity you missed it~"

Impressed, Angel crossed his arms. "Pity indeed. I do hope my reality's version of your compatriots hold up to my expectations, or we could all be in some serious trouble…"

"Oh?" Curious, Joshua adopted a thoughtful pose, a hand supporting his chin as he leaned forward. "Do tell~"

Chuckling, Angel relaxed again, wings and arms hanging by his sides. "All in due time my friend, no sense ruining the surprise. Enjoy your games while you can, and don't let your Reapers slip. They need to stay in top shape. That's your only hint~" Waving lazily and turning away, Angel left in a flash of light.

"Curiouser and curiouser…. All for a good show, I suspect. No matter. I'll be ready when that favour is required. But for now…" Joshua took his phone from his pocket. "It's almost time for another Game."
