Chapter Text
It was so silent that you could nearly hear the fait sounds of the very planet settling. My eyes burned with the urge to blink but I didn't dare to do so, for I was too focused on the monster that stood before me who had pinned me to the stone wall behind me. A metal spear threatened to pierce my throat. It (or he if his musculature was anything to go off of) was not happy. Me saving his sorry behind be damned. My very presence was offensive.
I gulped, the movement causing my skin to brush against the sharpened end of the weapon. "I. Saved. You." I nearly cursed at myself for how my voice came out. Quiet and shakey, like a frightened mouse at the mercy of a cat's claws. "Want the cave? Fucking take it, but know this...I saved your life-" My breath and words caught in my throat when the weapon inched closer, a sudden wetness dribbling down my throat that told me the weapon had started to cut skin.
I desperately tried to steady my racing heart, my entire body long since had broken out into a nervous sweat but was now adding terrified shaking into the mix.
Sandy had briefly warned me about these creatures, fuck him saying that his data on these things were little and scattered...he probably just didn't think that we would ever run into one! But, we had and his words about these creatures being aggressive were true. The very way this thing stood, confident and almost...pleased with the fact that my life was held within' his claws. His glowing golden eyes scanning over my form like a hawk evaluating its prey and whether or not it was something worthy enough to kill.
Fuck this thing.
But...suddenly, he started to make whispered clicking noises to himself as he looked away.
Before I could open my mouth again though...he moved away from me. For a moment, as I watched him walk to the otherside of the room. I felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted from my shoulders all until...he approached again with rope in his claws.
