Amity swings the door open in a panic "I came as quick as I could!" she says worryingly, eyes scanning the room "Luz..." Luz is laying on the sleeping bag half asleep and curled up in countless blankets.
"Cariño" She kneels down on the left side,Luz facing the other way. "Hey its ok love what's Wrong?" She says softly wail reaching out her hand and gently rubbing her girlfriend’s back.
Luz whimpers as she chokes back tears "Hey hey it's ok" Amity says as she scoots in "Come here" Luz turns over cuddling up next to her girlfriend hiding her face.
"Oh my titan, baby you're burning up!"
Amity says feeling the heat of Luz’s skin though her clothes.
"lemme see" Amity says putting her hand out to feel Luz's forehead Luz turns away "noo" Luz mumbles voice horse she clears her throat "Mm ok I feel fine" "yeah right" Amity says playfully. She puts her hand back out but luz shoves it away "Just let me check!"
"No, I already told you I feel fine!"
"Then it shouldn't be a problem if check,right" Amity lowers her tone "..fine" Luz sighs in defeat as Amity tried the hide her winning smile Luz sits-up reluctantly.
Amity, Finally getting a good look at her girlfriend and took a mental note on how pale she was.
She started by putting the back of her hand up to Luz's forehead then gently moving it down cupping her warm cheek Luz leaned into her touch before Amity moved her hand away. "Luz you have a fever" She said worryingly "You need to rest" Luz sniffled "Amity I already told you I-“ Amity cuts her off “feel fine". She roles her eyes before going into into a coughing fit Amity starts rubbing soft circles on Luz's back till the Her Coughing died down."Hey look at me" Luz averts her gaze, tired eyes looking up at Amity. "Look, I can tell when something is and there is no point of hiding it,I know you don't feel well, and I want you to feel better, but That won’t happen if you don’t rest".
"Umm ok" She says shyly as if she was ashamed of herself she looks to the ground she feels, she cant face amity there's a pause as Amity finds the right words to say before she finally breaks the silence. "Thank you" she says trying to comfort her girlfriend in anyway possible and puts her hand over Luz's.
"When was the last time you ate"
"I don't know" Luz mumbles face now barred in her pillow probably yesterday at lunch "Luz!". Amity half yells and Luz winches at the noise "sorry I forgot" Amity says apologetically. "How about I get you some soup? "Mmm not hungry" Luz says thirdly face still in the pillow.
"I know but you need to eat something" Amity gets up ready to go make the soup "Before I start do you need anything?".
"I Don't know can you bring me some tissues please?" "Yes of course,
Are you cold at all?" “Yeah" Luz say's curling up deeper in the bed" "Ok i'll be back with them in a minute". Amity says leaving the room before Luz started to settle back into bed and slowly drift asleep.
About ten minutes later Amity returns to the room holding two the supplies. "sorry it took awhile I was trying to-"she pauses eyes landing on a sleeping Luz"Aww" she says quietly, sitting down the Supplies then keeling down into her original Position.
She looks so restless amity thought as she reached out her hand softly stroking Luz's damp hair. I think her fevers gone up I wish I could stay she thinks as ghost walks in the room they walk up to amity brushing up against her leg. Amity gave them some pets before walking out and into the kitchen And ghost laid down by luz's side.
A little while later Luz was awoken by some noise from the other room. It's hard to make out
who or what it is. Although she is tired her curiosity gets the best of her. She tries to sit up only
to find her girlfriend's sleeping cat huddled up against her sleeping peacefully. She smiles, it’s a
small one but it's genuine. She stands up slowly and shivers “ cold” . Then she grabs one of the blankets laying on the floor and drapes it over her shoulders. From the kitchen the smell of homemade food was lingering in the air ."almost done" Amity
declared proudly as she stirred the soup with a wooden spoon, mixing it thoroughly.Outer then the fant sound of the crystal ball and sizzling of the stove the room was quit. So it was no surprise that the sudden sound of footsteps startled her."Whos there" she turns her head around now alert but once she realizes it's just her girlfriend
she lets down her guard. "Luz you're supposed to be resting" "its fine I just woke up"
"How was your nap" Amity says still stering the soup. "It was good" she yond tiredness in her voice. "Good”, go wait up-stars the food is almost done. "and with that luz slowly started her journey up the
stairs.
Once the food was ready Amity grabbed two bowls, mugs, spoons, and a tray. Then she poured
the soup into the bowls and some hot tea into the mugs then took them up stairs. "Delivery!" Amity says cheerfully as she entered the room immediately lighting things up she set
the tray next to Luz's sleeping bag.Luz looks up from her book smiling warmly at the
other. "careful it's hot' amity says as she hands her the bowl stem drifting off of it.
"I know you're probably not hungry but can you try to eat at least half?" Amity Persuades. Luz nods and
starts blowing on the bowl cooling it off then taking a spoon from the side, only eating a small
Bit.
After Amity made sure Luz was eating then she grabbed her own bowl and started her meal.
"Hey Amity" "yeah?" Luz's head was laying on amity's shoulder "How did you know to come
over" Amity thought for a minute trying to find a way to put her words together finally she said "You know i'm not really sure, you wear kind of off yesterday I could tell something was off. "And
you kinda hide things sometimes so l'd thought id come and check up on you". "The reason I
came in a little well frantic was because Eda was not there and you were not answering my
texts so I got worried"
When she is done she looked back down at only to see her tearing up.She has a somber look on her face.”No one’s ever done that before”. She snuggles deeper into t he blankets but still not laying down completely not feeling well enough to even attempt to sleep.
Amity provides comfort by softly rubbing her arm.“ “What do you mean” Amity says curiously but still not trying to pry Luz wipes her teary eyes and try’s to get her thoughts together “Luz you know you can talk to me” “well you I never had any friends let alone a awesome girlfriend like you” Amity blushes “And well with my mom usually busy with work I’d mostly just stay home maybe try sleep it off but that’s it,I guess I never got used to it” “oh I never realized”Amity says quietly and feels that just for a moment time stops and the whole world goes quiet and only does that moment end when
Amity feels a light Weight fall on her shoulder she looks over to see her girlfriend resting on her shoulder snoring softly.She lays them both down and drapes the blanket over her shoulders tucking her in. She plants a soft kiss on her forehead “Sleep well Luz I’ll be here if you need me I love you. Then they both snuggle up and drift off the sleep
