A Kiss Is The Beginning

Summary:

...Of Cannibalism. (Title is a quote from Georges Bataille {idk for sure i literally looked up cannibalism quotes})

Izuku is irritated. If this idiot doesn't leave him alone, he'll miss out on Kaachan's walk home. His taunts mean nothing, because really he couldn't care less. Izuku takes a glance at the rando's fingers- his quirk lets them elongate, but also makes his bones more brittle. Izuku mulls over biting them off, ending the conversation there.

That was then. Now, he's sitting in the principal's office, even more irritated.

(This is DekuBaku. Dont like dont read.)

Notes:

Content Warnings: Violence (and semi-graphic descriptions of it), Sociopathy, plans of murder, quirkism, bullying, cannibalism (obviously, expect that the whole way through), idk what else.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Chomping

Chapter Text

Izuku is irritated. If this idiot doesn't leave him alone, he'll miss out on Kaachan's walk home.

"Hey, Deku!" He hates when people call him that. That's Kaachan's name for him, not theirs, "how are you man?"

Izuku knows he'll get interrupted if he responds.

"Not gonna answer? You go deaf, freak?"

Izuku stares at him blandly, bored, "Frankly, I'm annoyed that you're here. I have better things to do than listen to your elementary-level insults."

The boy (Izuku doesn't know his name, because again, he couldn't care less) bares his teeth, cracking his knuckles, "Oh? What've you got planned? Sit on your ass and cry hour?"

Izuku doesn't believe it worthy of a response, and is already calmly walking out of the room when the boy taunts from behind him.

"Man, you're so boring! Even Katsuki's better to talk to, and he's got an ego the size of Jupiter!"

Izuku stops in his tracks, turning back around with a deadly stare. He takes a glance at the rando's fingers- the boy's quirk lets them elongate, but also makes his bones more brittle. Izuku mulls over biting them off, ending the conversation there, as the boy laughs.

"Ooh, that got ya to stop did it? I'd hate to get compared to that guy too. He's real annoying."

Izuku leans forward, as if about to tell the boy a secret, not allowing himself to glance at the hand flexing near his face. Near, but not near enough.

"Hey," he begins, quiet and tentative. He tried jamming innocence in there, but he's too angry for that level of deceit, "You have such a cool quirk! Can I analyze it?"

The boy looks confused, but puffs up his chest like a peacock at the praise anyway. He laughs, flexing his fingers forward towards Izuku's face, closer and closer. Inching, slowly but surely.

"Man, that's really all your good for, huh?"

Izuku gives a fake flinch, faux tears emerging from his eyes, as he glances down, "N-no... I can do other stuff too..."

The boy gives another laugh (man those are grating on Izuku's nerves), fingers finally, finally close enough for him to reach, "Yeah, like what? Cry?"

Izuku lurches forward, jaws clamping around the offending digits. A wet crunch reverbs around the empty classroom, with the boy standing in shock for a split second before screaming, desperately trying to tug his hand away. Izuku tightened his jaw more, before the boy finally tugged his hand away, missing a chunk of his fingers. He kept screaming, while Izuku blankly spit out the missing chunks into his own hand. He looked at them curiously, paying no attention to the sound of yelling, cursing, and crying. Always open to analyzing a quirk, he peels the flesh off the chunk and experimentally taps the bone. Is it hollow? He cant quite tell. He lifts the bone to his mouth, popping it into his mouth and lightly biting. A soft crush can be felt between his teeth. It tastes different from anything he's eaten before. It's dry, sure, but a bit pleasant as well. He swallows decidedly, before recognizing the sound of footsteps from the hall. He drops the remaining fingers to the floor, before pulling his patented "deer in headlights" look right as a teacher turns the corner, cheeks wetting from fake tears. He pretends to gasp when he sees the teacher, running stories through his head before deciding on one that would at most get him expelled, and "rushes" to answer before a question even passes their lips.

"I-I'm so sorry! I-I didn't mean to hurt him, but he scared me really bad and it was instinct.. I didn't mean to!" He sobs, knowing there's no way to prove otherwise. The principal removed cameras from the school, only putting them up when an inspector comes by. That way, if anyone asks, no quirkism happened.

The teacher looks close to throwing up, before rushing to comfort the boy and yelling at Izuku to "get your ass to the principal's office. You'll finally be expelled for this stunt."

Izuku nods hurriedly, rushing out of the classroom and waiting till he's appropriately out of earshot to send a text to his mother that she'll likely get called to school soon. He walks leisurely to the office, rolling pre-planned stories and lies around in his mind until he decides one will be enough to cover anything the teacher or boy may say. He knocks on the door, painting a panicked expression on his face and fidgeting with his hands. Looking up at the principal through his bangs as he opens the door, he fabricates a stutter. When he finally allows a hurried "c-class 3c.. he's hurt!", the man rushes out of the room. Izuku chooses his exit to sit in one of the many chairs to sit in and waits, faking anxiety the whole way through. The principal might not have cameras around the school, but there's plenty in his office. The door bangs open, and Izuku mock startles, scrambling out of the chair.

"I-is he okay? You called an ambulance?"

The principal doesnt respond, dialing a number on his phone.

"Inko Midoriya? Izuku has started trouble once again."

Sitting in his chair, Izuku minutely relaxes when his mother enters the room. He might be good at manipulating a situation, but she always has a way with words. He'll likely get a stern talking-to after this, though.

"Is there a reason for the police outside of the school? I'm sure my Izu couldn't have done anything too horrible," she begins evenly. Straight to the point as always.

"Mrs. Midoriya, your child has harmed another student under my care. He can and will be charged for assault," the principal says. Inko straightens, gaze turning steely.

"Then so will the child, I'm sure. Izu would never hurt someone without reason, and by checking the cameras-" she pauses, tilting her head innocently, "which would have recorded the incident, correct?"

Izuku really does love his mother.

The principal sweats, seemingly realizing the risks that involving the police would cause, "hem, well, I'm sure there's no need for that. In fact, perhaps we could bargain another way?"

How subtle. "No need. I'll take my child out of your care, because evidently," Inko stresses, "he isn't well-kept here."

She turns her head, gaze softening at Izuku, "come along, Izu. Let's talk in the car, yeah?"

    He really loves his mother.

    "Now, what happened?"

Izuku thinks through his words, before finally settling on the truth. His mother would find out anyway, she always does.

"He insulted Kaachan. I bit off four of his fingers, experimented a bit with one. You know how much I like analyzing," he says, blandly and to the point.

"Oh, Izu. You know better," she says. He groans lightheartedly, earning a soft smile.

"I know, Ma, but he was being rude! I wasn't prepared, and I already knew there were no cameras. I just didn't expect him to scream so loud!"

Inko ruffles his hair, giggling, "I know love is blinding, but you have to be careful, baby."

Izuku flushes, swatting her hand away, "I know! 'Always check for witnesses, and keep the victim quiet', but I was just so angry!"

Inko huffs, placing her hand back on the steering wheel, speeding through a yellow light right before it turns red, "alright, Izuku, just make sure it doesn't happen again. I can't always cover for y-" she pauses, glancing coldly in front of the car, and sighs, "another villain fight then. Look's like we're taking the scenic route."

Izuku tilts his head in mock interest at the scene in front of him. There's some sort of sludge, twisting and turning wildly in front of the crowd that's gathered. Looking closer, he jumps up, prying open the car door before his mother can protest.  Pulling open his backpack, he jerks out a spare knife he carries with him "for emergencies", running through the crowd before they can blink. Heroes reach to stop him, but he jumps the barriers before the can, rushing up to the villain.

'Kaachan is in there. Kaachan is in trouble. I have to save him.'

He stabs his knife into the first solid thing he can, which is apparently an eye, twisting and turning it as the villain finally lets Kaachan go. He pulls him out, ignoring shouts of "fucking Deku" and " what the hell are you doing you idiot", spinning around and pushing Kaachan away, towards the heroes. He watches as the hold him, letting out a sigh of relief, turning to the villain again, this time too late. It sneaked some sludge around his throat, tugging him into the body and beginning to cover him, choking him as he attempted to claw it off. His eyes squeezed shut on their own, tearing up from the pain. He hears a "wait! ma'am-" and a "get the fuck off me" before it all goes silent.

As he blinks awake, Izuku's back at home. He's almost think it was all a dream, if it weren't for the leftover burning in his lungs and pain on his neck. He sits up quickly, ignoring his own pain and screaming out something that sounds like "Kaach" before he gets shoved down into the bed by rough hands, rougher than his mothers. He looks to the left, and tries his damndest not to flush. It's Kaachan! And he's holding him in a way that isn't painful! Willingly!

"Nerd. I thought you were dead for a while there."

Izuku swallows, no need to fake nerves that are really there, "K-Kaachan! are you okay? I was so worried-" a hand clamps over his mouth, and he almost passes out. Kaachan is touching his lips! This must be heaven!

"Fucking Dek-. Hm. I didn't need your help-" he holds a hand up before Izuku can blurt out something embarrassing like 'I'll always help you' or 'marry me please ohmygod-', continuing his sentence, "but... fucking. Thanks, I guess."

Izuku blinks, stunned for a moment, before stuttering out a very eloquent, thought out "Ehh?!"

A (breathtaking) set of red eyes roll, before Kaachan winces, muttering something like 'fucking sappy', before starting again, "I- you- I thought you were. Dead, I mean. I don't.. I don't want that to happen again. Ever. De- Izu- hn. I'm fucking.. I'm sorry! okay? I'm fucking sorry for all the shitty crap I put you through, and for not believing in you. I don't think I can imagine myself without you on my heels like the idiot you are."

And wow, Izuku is actually about to cry. He hasn't been so happy since Kaachan said he'd marry him, and they were 4.

"K-Kaachan can we be friends again?" He's stretching it, but Izuku has to know. He has to.

The boy startles a bit, caught off guard, "Really? even after all the shit I did to you? I dont deserve that."

Izuku shrinks, taking the rejection, and Kaachan seems to panic, before yelling.

"Fuck you Deku! I'll be the best goddamn friend you've ever had!"

Izuku beams, leaping forward to embrace him. "Oh, Kaachan! I'm so happy! That's all I ever wanted!" (which is a bold-faced lie, all he wants is to have Kaachan be his and only his, but it's not like he can say that.)

    "Whatever," Kaachan huffs.

"And uh. Deku is.. o-okay. As long as its you," Izuku says, flushing a bit, pulling away.

Kaachan raises an eyebrow. "Just me, nerd? That'll be fun to explain to our classmates."

Oh my god, Izuku thinks. He doesn't know.

"U-um, I wont actually be going to Aldera anymore, Kaachan. Mom's pulling me out."

His friend (woah thats new) jerks, surprised, "what the fuck? Why?"

"I, uh. got in a fight. Messed up that one lackey really badly. The one with the elongating fingers?"

Kaachan grins, feral (but cute), "Aye? what'd you do, slap him?"

Izuku mumbles something under his breath, which earns him a "Haah?" from Kaachan. He mumbles it louder, and Kaachan processes before jolting, grabbing Izuku by the shoulders.

"WHAT THE HELL? YOU BIT HIS FINGERS OFF? THATS FUCKING AWESOME!" He yells, clearly excited, "Tell me everything."

    Izuku does.
