Season 6 was a strange one, for sure. A whole unannounced player shows up before them (That hasn’t happened before. Xisuma had recognised him, but seemed unhappy. Which was weird, right? Hadn’t he invited Grian? Maybe it was something to do with server hopping. The lag is the worst in the beginning…), and everyone just goes along with it. Never mind the fact that Grian won’t explain where he’s from, won’t talk about his previous servers, nothing! A mystery wrapped in an enigma, that one.
And things just keep going wrong…

“Hey Mumbo, do you know where my Elytra went? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.”
“Uhh… I don’t know where it is. Why would I?”
“ Because, you borrowed it to go end-busting. Remember? It was my best one!”
“Grian. I never went end busting. I was actually planning on going today…”
Grian paled. He had several similar interactions… maybe there was a glitch or something? Not a small one, if there were this many players affected. Shoot.
“Ah, never mind then! I thought that had already happened, haha. Must have just left it in a chest monster again. See you!” Grian pasted a friendly smile on his face and was quick to leave. He had to deal with the glitch before anything worse happened.

“Ugh! This is the third time this week, I can’t believe this is happening now. Of all times for the trees to rot, it has to be when I try to build a tree farm!”
Hermits are odd like that. They like to monologue, even when there’s not a soul around to listen. Just one of the quirks of the server, I guess.
“Hey Scar! What’s up?”
“Oh, Grian! Didn’t hear ya coming. It’s just my tree farm, all the trees are rotting before I can get a good growth going. And the custom trees for my base as well, it’s like mother nature hates me!”
“That sounds terrible. Actually, my trees are doing the same thing. Maybe it’s the weather?”
“That’s the thing- it’s been bone-dry all week! I thought that was going to be the problem, but no, it’s like the entire server is built on a swamp.”
“Huh, that’s weird. Maybe I’ll talk to X about it, the server might be glitching again.”
“Again? What do you mean, ‘again?’”
“Uhhhh… nothing! Nevermind! Bye Scar!!”
“...Weird. Ah, well. All’s well in Hermitcraft, and Grian is being strange. Just a normal day on the hermitcraft server!”

“Grian, how are you doing that! The build limit was twelve blocks ago!”
“Oh fuuuu…alse! That’s false! I actually used a trick I learnt at build school, where you can exceed the build limit if you’re building with… fences! Yes, that’s right, if you build with fences you can go a full 15 blocks above the build limit. Just one of those things, right?”
“Wait, really? That’s awesome!”
“Actually, I probably shouldn’t use it so often, haha. It’s bad for the server. I’m going to take it down now!”
I should really patch that some time soon…

“OH MY GOSH, DO NOT TOUCH THAT WATER.”
“What, why? Is it poisoned?”
“No, it’s boiling! Lava must be close to the surface here, because the bucket wasn’t so hot a second ago!”
“Thanks for the heads up, I’ll get some ice.”
“Hey guys, why is the ocean steaming? Like- the entire ocean is just steaming?”
“Maybe it’s mist?”
“Yeah, but it’s HOT. Like, it’s bubbling.”
“Sounds like a problem for X, to be honest.”
