Chapter Text
Busy footsteps clunked on the metal grates in the floor as the crew were hard at work. Etho smiled as he reached for his coffee. Heading left towards medbay Etho peaked his head in. They had been having weird stuff happen to the ship and its wiring as of late and he wanted to make sure everyone was alright. Inside Joker was chatting with Endless as he did his specimen task and both smiled at Etho when he poked his head in. Nothing seemed wrong so he continued forward towards upper engine where he bumped into one of the new crew members. She had come from a planet they had never heard of and was rather brash and used her unusual strength to barge past people during emergencies a lot.
"Sorry I should of been looking where I was going!"
He smiled sheepishly at her but he dropped it into a confused scowl after she glanced behind him before patting him rather harshly on the shoulder and saying that its alright. Brushing it off as built up paranoia from being in a new place with new people he continued on. Making a left turn he entered security(I believe that is what that room is called) and sat down to watch the cameras positioned around the ship.
Focusing his attention on #3 he notices Evil and Brody hed into Admin clearly debating something based on their expressive hand gesturing. Odd, he thought they had task in weapons today, guess he hasn't checked the others schedules since the new crewmates joined. Skizz and Mrs Tango walk by Navigation together just as the reactor lets out an awful blaring siren that had Etho on his feet and running out of security before he could even think. Endless and Joker came barrelling around the upper engine corner while Impulse came running from lower engine. All burst into reactor, Etho recoiling slightly from the overwhelming heat that came from the machine before rushing to the upper hand scanner. Tearing a glove off and placing his hand on the scanner he looked behind him to see Impulse do the same and soon the reactor stabilised itself.
Everyone panted hard from the sudden sprint and looked at each other warily. Endless quickly straightened himself and spoke with a slightly shaky tone "We need to call an emergency meeting... now". Etho couldn't believe what was happening. Of course he'd heard of other ships and settlements being killed by the creatures but never would he imagine that one of his family could be one. They had an Imposter amongst them. And that was a terrifying thought.
