Chapter Text
Raphael is not the fire.
Sure, you could say that his passion carried the deepest flames.
That his anger was like a fire destroying everything around him.
And the red used by him was proof that he was a child of the flames.
But this was a misconception about Raphael Hamato.
Raphael was never the fire.
No, he was the ocean.
Deep, noisy, powerful and unpredictable.
Gods sealed in its depths, and beautiful creatures singing on its reefs.
Raphael had always been like the ocean.
A child as turbulent as the ocean. As unpredictable in view of his emotions. And as destructive as a tsunami with no mercy for those who come before him.
A soul full of depth and untold stories.
With dreams lost in small bottles within himself.
Raphael was a child of the ocean.
Frightening to those who don't know him, as if there was an ancient monster inside preparing to attack them.
Like his emotions were so deep that you wouldn't see any light source there.
It was like the moment you dived inside that sea, you wouldn't have a way back to the surface and you would drown there.
The ocean is a monster.
The ocean is unpredictable.
The ocean is scary.
The ocean is...alive.
Within its waves it carries the most stories from forbidden loves to impossible adventures.
Its melody is unique, lived and bright. Like a comfort to those who have gone far from home.
The movement he brings is like a dance, gentle and protective that fascinates even those who cannot dance.
Raphael has never been someone beyond the ocean.
Protective to those who live inside his heart.
A guide to those who pass his way, taking them to a thousand different places.
Holding the memories of those long gone inside him like a treasure.
The ocean could be violent, it could be frightening for those who look at it from afar.
But if one day you dare to navigate its waters
But if one day you dance with its waves
But if one day you accompany its songs
But if one day you listen to its stories
You will find the eternal beauty of that ocean.
The ocean that always was and always will be Raphael.
