Chapter Text
Hisashi froze mid-step. It wasn’t for long, likely not even long enough for the Heroes watching his approach to realize he had done it. Still, it happened.
Why?
Because Hisashi was forced to have several terrifying realizations in quick succession.
One, the current One for All holder was watching him from just beyond the wall to his right.
Two, said holder bore a very distinctive set of injuries. A set that his wife had called leaving a crying voicemail about, begging him to come home.
And Three, Search was confirming his nightmare of a realization about the second.
The Ninth was Midoriya Izuku.
His son was just a very flimsy wall away from him.
This changed everything.
---AoN-AoN-AoN---
He stopped.
The Villain, because he had to be a Villain strolling out from between the tanks of Nomu, stopped.
Izuku felt a vice-like grip around his heart at the sight of the man as his Quirk unconsciously flared to life under his skin with the need to run.
But he couldn’t.
Izuku cast a glance at his companions as best as he could without removing his eyes from the Villian. If he ran, he would be abandoning them all to the mercy of the man.
Then as the Heroes argued about what to do about him, the man raised a single arm before the world exploded around them. As the wall that Izuku had been frozen looking through the window of just seconds before was torn apart leaving Izuku falling forward into the space the wall had previously occupied.
That made no sense.
If the wall had exploded outward, he should have been falling backward, away from the source of the blast.
It wasn’t until the dust cleared that he realized what had happened as the man held him and Kirishima by the fronts of their shirts in the wreckage of the building. To their right, the collection of Heroes lay strewn over the rubble of a blast that had leveled over a block.
And the man that had caused that damage with no effort on his part was all that was keeping him and Kirishima from striking the ground.
The man’s masked face shifted ever so slightly between them and their friends who had been holding them up. “Oh dear, there are even more of you than I first thought. This is hardly the place for children. I suppose I will just have to correct this issue myself since it appears that this is just another way that the Heroes seem to be lacking.”
Before Izuku could even think to protest or lash out with his Quirk, a horrible taste bubbled up in the back of his throat. One that’s texture sent him mentally reeling back to over a year ago just before he had met All Might for that very first time.
Somehow, this tasted worse.
Black sludge exploded from his mouth blanketing his sight, before he found himself exploding out of it coughing onto a concrete floor. Around him, he heard the coughing of four others. Izuku forced himself to look up to visually check. All four of his classmates had made it here with him, in one piece.
Kirishima seemed to recover the fastest. “Who the hell was that?”
“All for One. Shigaraki’s Sensei.” The answer left Izuku’s lips without a thought. An answer that he knew from the burning of his Quirk had to be true. “His Quirk lets him give and take the Quirks of other people. That is how he was able to throw out a blast like that and warp us wherever we are now. He has more than one Quirk.”
Iida gave him an odd look. “Can I ask how you came by such information?”
Izuku sighed and pulled himself back up to his feet so he could inspect their surroundings. “All Might told me about him when he realized he was still probably alive since he knew I was a target for him thanks to my Quirk, One for All. A transferable stockpiler passed down from mentor to student that originated from the man’s brother.”
There was little point in keeping the secret. After all, if All for One had them, it was not like the man wasn’t probably going to openly talk about it.
Todoroki’s face lit up in realization. “Oh! The similarities between your Quirk and All Might’s isn’t because you are his secret son, but because you inherited his Quirk.”
“Yeah.”
Yaoyorozu bit her lip. “Setting aside the honestly frightening implications of all of that, why do you think he grabbed the rest of us then?”
Izuku frowned. “That is actually a pretty good question. If he was after your Quirks, he could have just taken them before warping you away somewhere separate from me if he even bothered with the latter.”
“If I had to guess? As possible hostages to get you to cooperate.”
Izuku jumped in surprise with the others, whipping himself around to look at the man who had spoken. The man in question snorted at their reactions. “Oh, geez. I thought Heroes were supposed to have better situational awareness. You brats can relax, I sure am not going to be able to do anything to you.”
He was a rather ruffled-looking man with gray hair, glasses and a gap in his teeth that Izuku could not tell from this distance if it was from a missing front tooth or just a natural albeit large gap. “Who are you?”
The man snorted and pulled out a cigarette to stick in his mouth. “Apparently your babysitter if All for One really sent you to me. Your guess about why he grabbed you is off but you’re right at least about the fact you were probably the one he wanted out of your group. You know, you look a lot like your parents.”
Izuku tensed. “What do my parents have to do with anything?”
The man waved off the question. “Eh, don’t worry about it. I’m just an old man thinking aloud. Does your mother Inko still make that great Katsudon dish? I can’t remember the last time I had good Katsudon. That woman completely ruined the dish for me. No one else's even comes close to being as good.”
“You know Midoriya’s mother?”
The man snorted. “I was the officiant at his parent's wedding. Hell, I know Izuku here too, though I doubt he remembers me at all. Don’t think I have seen you in person since you were yay-high.” He gestured to just below his knee. “Most kids don’t remember stuff from that early. Since it is obvious you don’t recognize me, you can just call me Uncle Kagerou.”
Izuku jolted. He knew that name. “My godfather works for All for One?”
His Godfather grinned and shrugged as he pulled out an oddly familiar trick lighter that was in the shape of a gun to light his cigarette. “Him and plenty of others. I’m an info broker, kid. I go where the pay is good.”
Iida cut them off before. “Hold up. Midoriya, do you actually know this Villain?”
Izuku shot his friend a bewildered look. “Apparently? I had no idea he was a Villain. Like he said, I haven’t seen him in years. Most of what I know about him is from my mom talking on the phone with him about-”
He cut himself off as something clicked into place.
“Holy shit my Dad is actually a Villain. I thought Mom was joking!”
Uncle Kagerou laughed. “Oh dear, if you are just now figuring that out, I can’t wait until you see the Old Dragon later.”
“Dad’s here?”
He chuckled as smoke leaked from his lips. “Not right this second but I can go get him if you’d like to yell at him about it. Give me a sec and I will hunt down the Old Dragon for you. I’m sure he isn’t far away.”
Izuku exchanged worried looks with his classmates. As much as he would like to in fact do just that, All for One had intentionally sent them to him. “Does that me we can leave?”
His Godfather shrugged. “I mean you could try. I certainly won't be able to stop you. If Sensei sent you here with that Quirk, there isn’t really anything you can do to keep him from catching you again if you do try and leave though. If you aren't here when he turns up he will just be able to yank you back. It is person-based teleportation not location like Kurogiri’s so he doesn't have to know where you are to bring you back to him, just where someone else is to send you away from him.”
Kirishima winced and rubbed the back of his neck. “You guys think he is telling the truth?”
Iida grimaced. “While my knowledge about Warping Quirks is rather limited, from what I understand from the conversation my brother and I had about them after the USJ, that does sound possible.”
Before Izuku could weigh in Uncle Kagerou snorted as he pulled open the door. “Well while you discuss if you are gonna try and run or not, I am going to go find the kid’s Old Man. If you are here when we get back, you can yell at him about everything or some shit.”
And with that, he closed the door behind him.
---AoN-AoN-AoN---
This was way funnier than it had any right to be.
Sure, academically, Kagerou that it was kinda fucked up that All for One had clearly not been home in a long enough time that his own kid completely failed to recognize him. That in the time the man had been forced to physically keep a distance from his family, All Might had apparently slipped in and taken his son under his wing to make him the Ninth. Still, the irony that Izuku had ended up with his hands on the Quirk his father had been planning on gifting to him to fulfill the boy’s own request for a Quirk, the Quirk that All for One had given up any desire to steal for himself after the war over it had soured to taste of reclaiming it, was not lost on him.
It was also pretty funny that he had actually been able to catch them for All for One without too much trouble until the man turned up from wherever he was that he had sent them from.
It wasn’t too surprising though all things considered. He had never visited the Midoriya family without activating his Quirk after the kid had been born. Even with the kid’s natural interests in how Quirks worked, he had never caught on to how Kagerou’s own worked.
Kagerou glanced at the clock on his phone again as he snuffed out his second cigarette.
He needn’t have bothered though as he heard the sudden shift in the conversation of the kids as the last several minutes of their lives were wiped from their memories and the conversion reset.
Too easy.

Izuku’s head was killing him as he blinked back into focus.
Kirishima sat down on the old beat-up couch that made up the bulk of the room’s furniture looking rather green. “Who the hell was that?”
“All for One. Shigaraki’s Sensei.” The answer left Izuku’s lips without a thought as a feeling of Deja Vu washed over him. “His Quirk lets him give and take the Quirks of other people. That is how he was able to throw out a blast like that and warp us wherever we are now. He has more than one Quirk.”
Iida, also standing unsteadily on his feet, gave him an odd look. “Can I ask how you came by such information?”
Izuku sighed as he turned so he could inspect their surroundings. “All Might told me about him when he realized he was still probably alive since he knew I was a target for him thanks to my Quirk, One for All. A transferable stockpiler passed down from mentor to student that originated from the man’s brother.”
Todoroki frowned as he clutched at his head. “That is why you are so close with All Might. You are his successor.”
“Yeah.”
Yaoyorozu bit her lip as she seemed to steady herself against one of the walls.
“Perhaps he wants us for the same reason Shigaraki wanted the League to grab Bakubro. Do you think they have him someplace here?”
Iida shook his head. “I doubt it. It is too quiet here. I doubt that Bakugou would be taking his own captivity quietly.”
Izuku frowned as he strained his ears as a wave of fear washed over him. “We aren’t in a city building. Iida’s right, it’s too quiet. If we were, there is no way we wouldn’t be hearing some sort of city background noise. All I can hear are cicadas. We are probably in a hideout somewhere in a rural area.”
There was a chuckle from the other side of the door. “Got it in one kid. Don’t bother asking me where we are though. I got here basically the same way you did. I wouldn’t bother trying to leave that room of yours there though. You wouldn’t get very far before Sensei’s Bloodhound caught up to you and brought you back and I doubt that Sensei would be happy if you wrecked his cabin leaving. Just sit tight and watch a movie or something. If you behave, I’ll bring you some popcorn.”
As his classmates focused on the voice beyond the door. Izuku found himself actually looking around the room as another strange wave of Daju Vu hit him. In a sort of trance, Izuku found himself walking over and opening the cabinet to the left of the TV stand and pulling out a movie box set without pause.
As he stared at the box of six ancient blu rays a flash of annoyance washed over him as he looked at the order of them as a thought not his own danced over his mind. ‘Of course, he reordered them again. Couldn’t just leave them in the right order, could he?’
Todoroki drifted over to look over his shoulder. “What's wrong?”
Izuku shook his head, to clear the thought he suspected must have come from the First Holder. “All for One reordered the films. Apparently, he is of the firm belief that the original two trilogies of the Star Wars movies should only be experienced in ‘hatchet’ order like my Dad while his brother thought it made more sense to watch them in release order. Apparently, the only point they agreed upon about it was that watching them in numerical order was complete blasphemy.”
Todoroki tilted his head. “That seems like an odd detail to be passed down from teacher to student.”
Izuku sighed and set the box down on the TV stand. “It wasn’t.” He bit his lip. “One for All is haunted. Sort of. Sometimes I get visions and fragments of memories from the previous holders. Wherever we are, the First was here too at some point.” He glanced back at their classmates still focused on arguing with the man, beyond the door. “If we are where I worry we might be, then there is no chance of us running.”
“And that is?”
“The house built over the vault that All for One locked his brother in. It at least at that time was over a three-day hike to the nearest town back then and I doubt All for One would have been inclined to let the towns grow too much closer. Additionally, if the Bloodhound that guy mentioned is the same one as the guy as I have seen from time to time in the memories from a few different Holders, we aren’t outrunning him or going to be able to fight him. I suspect he was the original prototype for the Nomu.”
Todoroki considered that for a moment before reaching over and picking up the movie box. “So what is ‘hatchet’ order?”
---AoN-AoN-AoN---
Katsuki winced as he slammed into the wooden floor of wherever All for One had created the Warp Gate too with Kurogiri. Before he could recover his footing to try and run again, the monster himself stepped through and the Warp Gate fell apart behind him.
Around Katsuki, there were groans of pain from various members of the League. With All for One’s mask partially shattered, he could see the monster click his tongue in clear disappointment. “Tomura, next time I tell you to take your people and run, don’t hesitate for me. Your delay cost me my helmet.”
Katsuki shivered as the man, casually glided through the group as it sank in just how screwed he was. All Might had been right there and had been completely unable to do anything about the nearly faceless man.
Shigaraki winced as he pulled himself back up to his feet. “I’m sorry Sensei. I’ll do better next time.”
All for One huffed and shook his head as he began ripping off the broken metal encasing his skull. “Do you understand why I needed you to run?”
“Because we were in the way preventing you from going all out?”
All for One made a small ‘tsk’ sound before reaching over and ruffling Shigaraki’s hair in a strange parody of paternal-like affection. “No. Because you were keeping all of us from making our exit. There was unfortunately a rather sudden change in plans thanks to new information that has been brought to my attention about the Ninth. Because of that, I thought it best to keep the bloodshed to the minimum for now until we can get him to see the error of blindly continuing to side with the Heroes.”
Shigaraki growled slightly at that. “What the fuck changes things so much that you would think that about the Hero brat?”
Katsuki felt ice race down his spine as All for One gave a horribly familiar laugh before turning as if to look pointedly at Katsuki. “That is an easy one. Isn’t it Katsuki?”
Katsuki shrank back as much as he could into the floor on reflex as a memory of the man’s cold gaze from his childhood superimposed itself over the scared face. Unfortunately, Katsuki’s mouth ran away from him with the question that immediately followed it. “Does Auntie fucking know you are a fucking Villain?”
The few members of the League still awake including Shigaraki looked between them in plain confusion, as Uncle fucking Hisashi laughed before he crouched down to ruffle Katsuki’s hair as well. “Given that she is a former employee like your parents currently are, yes she is very much aware. In hindsight, I suspect the reason she failed to call me immediately to inform me about the true nature of our son’s miraculous Quirk development was because she likely just assumed he had merely finally stolen a Quirk for himself. Given that it was my own first thought, I can hardly blame her for it.”
Katsuki watched as he turned back to Shigaraki. “I can however blame you Tomura for failing to actually inform me of the name of the Ninth. I also do have to ask how on earth you missed who Izuku was as well given he looks like a small palette-swapped version of myself.”
Shigaraki looked as if he had been backhanded. “You have a son?”
All for One, despite not having eyes clearly gave Shigaraki a look of disbelief. “Honestly, Tomura, you are asking that despite being my literal biological grandson. Yes, obviously I remarried in the decades since both your great-grandmother and my daughter died.”
“But you're so old.”
Shigaraki’s disgusted look as he practically wined out that last part actually startled a snort out of Katsuki earning him a smirk from his uncle. “You do realize I am still physically in my mid-forties, right? While yes there was a physical age gap back then, Inko is nearly to the point where she will soon be physically older than me.”
Katsuki found himself bursting into laughter as Shigaraki continued to complain about it as if anything he said about would do anything to change it. This whole situation was fucking nuts. Deku was a fuck great uncle to the bastard who had to be at least a couple of years older than them.
As the two of them continued the not-real debate about his aunt and uncle’s relationship while Uncle Hisahi walked over to a far cabinet and began to pull out medical equipment, Katsuki more felt than heard the conscious trio of the lizard, magic weirdo, and buff chick fall into a sort of semicircle behind him.
The masked magician leaned over, head propped up on one hand as his elbow rested on a knee of his crossed legs. “So I take it you aren’t going to try running anymore.”
Katsuki winced before huffing and crossing his arms. “What is even the fucking point? He could literally have just walked up to my front door at any point and just asked to take me somewhere and I doubt my parents would have fought him about it. While I knew my parents worked for him, no one thought to fucking tell me what the fuck they even do.” He rubbed his eyes. “I am just fucking confused why he didn’t.”
The lizard frowned. “That’s it? All that talk about not becoming a Villain and you just fold like that? What happened with your insistence that you are one of the ‘true’ Heroes.”
Katsuki huffed. “Because I am not fucking insane enough to think I could ever hope to fucking stop Uncle Hisashi. Not after seeing him going toe to toe with All Might like that. Especially knowing that if Deku does side with him over the Heroes, the other side is fucking screwed. As much as I hate to admit it, I know I would never win in a fight against Deku going all out on me. He knows how I fight too well.”
The lizard stiffened. “Did you just say Deku is Sensei’s kid? As in the one Hero besides All Might Stain respected as a true Hero?”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Obviously.”
The chick snorted. “I am more concerned about the fact that the kid here just called Sensei Uncle Hisashi.”
“Well, it is my name, though admittedly the family name of Midoriya was a recent change to keep both Inko and Izuku safe. Much like Tomura, my actual family name was Shigaraki. Still, I would prefer if you stuck with referring to me as either Sensei or All for One for the moment. You wouldn’t want to accidentally refer to me as such after you ‘escape’ and are able to rejoin the Heroes.”
Katsuki found himself jumping alongside the trio as Uncle Hisashi cut it. He looked up to see a first aid kit in his hands before it was abruptly shoved into his own. “What is this for?”
“I believe UA should have covered at least your first First Aid class by now. Why don’t you help the others look over the ones hurt by the Heroes trying to save you? Tomura can show you the spare bedrooms to get everyone situated.”
Katsuki clicked his tongue. “Yeah, I guess I can do that. What are you going to be doing though?”
“I believe I have a conversation with my son and a few of your classmates awaiting me. It seems that they did not trust the Heroes to do their jobs for some strange reason.”
Katsuki snorted at the clear sarcasm. “Who the fuck was so stupid to go with him?”
Uncle Hisashi tilted his head. “I am afraid I don’t know all their names given that I obviously was paying little attention to your class outside of what Tomura mentioned. Todoroki Shoto was an obvious one from his Quirk as was the Iida but the other two were a boy with a transformative Quirk that seemed like should change his full body into a form of stone that would be at least a 6 on the Mohs scale though might be able to get higher with more practice. The girl with them had some sort of energy to molecular construct conversion Quirk. It was a rather fascinating one though clearly would require far too much practice to be anything useful if Izuku or I were to take it.”
Katsuki had to take a second to process that. Shitty Hair coming made sense given he had become Katsuki’s self-declared best friend, as did Icyhot given Deku had come since Katsuki was like 95% sure he had been dating Deku since their whole thing during the Sports festival. The class reps were a surprise though. “Iida Tenya, Kirishima Eijiro and Yaoyorozu Momo. Now can we back the fuck up and talk about the fact you are talking like Deku could fucking steal Quirks too?”
Uncle Hisashi sighed. “He has always had the same Quirk as me. Actually, his is better because he doesn’t need to touch someone to use it frankly speaking. The whole reason we faked the whole Quirkless thing for him was so he wouldn’t until he was older and would understand why he would need to hide the ability from others. Originally, of course, the plan was to just give him a Quirk to pass off as his own but, well, I am sure you could guess what Quirk he said he wanted when asked if he could have any Quirk in the world...”
