Chapter Text
“I thought you’d be here”
Muzan raised his head, then he recognized that voice and he relaxed once more.
Giyuu crept behind him “Whats wrong?” He asked, looking down and tilting his head.
Muzan sighed and looked up. His ruby eyes looking at Giyuus sapphire ones. “Nothing, just” He glanced to his right and grumbled. “AH! I dont know???” The demon king whined
Giyuu sighed and sat beside him “Don’t know about what?” He asked. Muzan didnt say a word, and just kept his head down. Giyuu chuckled at this and wrapped an arm around his husbands shoulders
“Look, we’ve been married for 500 years already and this isnt the first time I saw you…well like this” Giyuu gestured to all of Muzan as his husband raised his head
“I know whats been bothering you, I’m not that stupid Zuzu” The water user rested his head on Muzan’s shoulder
Muzan smiled a bit. He was the idiot in this relationship. He was the stupid one, not Giyuu.
“You want a drink?” Giyuu handed him a juice box. Muzan laughed softly at this “Where did you get that?”
“Stole it from that Uzui guy” The raven head shrugged
“Y’know he’s your “team mate” right?”
“Oh please, the only teammate I have” Giyuu rested his head on Muzan’s shoulder “Is you, as my setter and as my shield”
The demon blushed at this statement “You’re so fucking corny, Yuu-chan” “I got it from Momi”
——
After awhile of stargazing, the two went back inside. The moment they stepped in, the two found themselves the center of attention.
Muzan gulped and Giyuu sighed ‘great’ he thought. “Take a picture, it’ll last longer” Giyuu shot. Muzan slapped his hand “Yuu-chan!” The blue-eyed male looked at his husband “What? They’re staring!” He rolled his eyes.
“Unca-Yuu! Unca!” A tiny voice called. The couple felt something hugg them both “Ara? Kagaya?” “You’re back! Is unca still sad?” Giyuu stifled a laugh and Muzan knelt down “I’m fine Kagaya”
“Step away from Oyakata-sama!” A voice yelled. That voice belonged to Sanemi Shinazugawa, the wind hashira
Muzan sighed and looked at Giyuu, who was glaring daggers at Sanemi “I’ll handle this” he assured
Giyuu didn’t believe him but still complied. He picked up kagaya
“I better get this one to bed” He said looking at Muzan. “See ya’ zuzu” the raven winked
“No! No no no no no no no—“
“Yes~”
Muzan smiled as he watched Giyuu take Kagaya to another room.
Now, all attention was on him. He cleared his throat “So, what do you want to know?”
“Everything” A female with purple hair said ‘That must be Shinobu’
“Right so, you might want to sit down for this one”
They all hesitated a bit, glancing at each other. Eventually they all started to sit down one by one
Muzan sighed and examined the room ‘What the fuck do I tell them’
“I suppose, I have to start from the beginning”
-
“Wait wait, let me get this straight” Muzan rolled his eyes at the sound hashira “Yes, Uzui-San?”
Tengen looked at the demon, unsure for a moment then asking a question “You and him, are what now?”
“Married”
“Right and this ‘Marriage’ is-“
“A deal”
“Arranged?”
“That works too”
“And hundreds of years ago, you two were on a mountain and he just…vowed to kill you? And you just,,kissed?”
“As a marriage proposal yes”
Silence was the only response given to the king. “Flamboyant…?” Uzui whispered under his breath.
“Anyway, so like I said. Me and Giyuu were lab experiments. Those “doctors” would gather woman that have an once of royal blood in them and rape them, forcing them all to bear the children of monsters. Giyuu got lucky that his “father” was a pure-blooded God who made a deal with his mother”
“Such a horrible place” Gyomei said, in tears as he started chanting and praying
Mitsuri almost had a sorry look on her faces. While Sanemi and Obanai scoffed. Muichiro was in a daze yet somehow, the story stuck to him. Uzui felt angry, all of those women and children being used for selfish reasons.
Shinobu felt ashamed, even angrier than Uzui. As a doctor, people should help others fight through their illness and not make things worse, to save what they can and never leave what they cant. These people used others like they were nothing. They should all be ashamed
Muzan paused for a moment before taking a breath and continuing to explain
“I, on the other hand, was just born with a birth defect. An illness, they decided to still count me and experimented on me using the blue spider lily, which what gave me my demonic ability”
Muzan lifted his hand and snapped his fingers. In an instant, almost a hundred tentacle’s arose from his back, all of them swinging in different directions. So fast that they could almost cut you if you ever so much as look at them.
Almost all of the hashira stood up and drew their weapons, ready to attack when a voice called them to stop “My children, what is going on here?” They all turned to see Kagaya-the more older version-stand by the door, guided by his two daughters.
“Oyakata-sama!” All of them kneeled down, in-front of their leader. Muzan was almost impressed on how quick they all reacted
“Greetings, Oyakata-sama!” All of them said in sync. Kagaya smiled “To you as well my children” He said
“Kacchan?” Muzan mumbled, but quickly shut his mouth
Kagay looked at Muzan. The two just stared at each other for a bit, not knowing what to say to the other
“I see, you must be Kibutsuji Muzan” Kagaya lowered his head a bit as a form of bowing
“Raised your head Kagaya” A demanding voice said, everyone turned to the voice. It was Giyuu, leaning on the wall with his arms crossed and his leg raised.
Giyuu pointed at Kagaya and said “You shouldn’t bow to a person like that” Muzan smiled at him “Really my dear…”
The demon king walked towards his beloved and kissed his cheek. Giyuu intertwined their fingers and looked at him.
“카가야 맞죠?” He questioned, glancing at the ill man
Muzan nodded and whispered something back. Giyuu kept looking at Kagaya until Muzan stopped whispering as Giyuu placed a hand on his face, stopping him. “Hang on a second” He said, making Muzan grumble a bit.
Giyuu walked towards Kagaya, pulling Muzan with him. The Hashira’s stare in awe as Muzan just followed him. Not even bothering to pull away, letting Giyuu lead him
Once the two were face to face with Kagaya, Giyuu observed him. Taking in every detail. “Kagaya…” He spoke softly, a motherly tone.
Kagaya merly nodded and bowed “Tomioka Giyuu, my chi—“
Before he could even finish his sentence, Giyuu pulled him into a tight hug wrapping his arms around his neck.
It caught him and the hashira’s off guard. “My darling! Oh how much you’ve grown” The water hashira spoke, carefully cupping Kagaya’s cheeks.
“My blue spider lily, words cannot describe how proud I am of you.” He said. Kagaya was caught off guard.
He cleared his throat and laughed “Thank you, Tomioka” Giyuu was about to nuzzle into Kagaya’s face but then he took notice of his appearance.
A large scar spread all over his face, his eyes white, his hands a but shaky.
“My little allouette, what happened to you?” His voice filled with worry. How can he not? Kagaya was the boy he raised, practically his son.
Kagaya sighed and gently guided Giyuu’s cheek down. “I shall explain everything my child. Please sit down”
Muzan and Giyuu shared a glance but nodded and sat down in their own spot.
Kagaya looked at the hashira’s and asked them if they could give them some privacy. Hesitant, they complied with their masters wish and bid him a goodnight.
Kagaya looked at the two again and started explaining
—-
“Curse?” Giyuu asked his hand brushing his lips. “A curse you say?” Muzan began to think.
“Well whats the cause?” He asked. “Who cursed you? And what was the reason for it? I’m sure there can be a cure or a counter curse we can do” He said and Giyuu nodded in agreement
Kagaya continued to smile. “It is because of you, Muzan.” He said
“….”
“What?”
“Our family was cursed by the God’s due to us birthing the first demon. You are our sin and the curse is the result of that”
Giyuu gasp and looked at his husband. Muzan was just as shocked as him.
“You” Giyuu stood up. His aura darkening. Muzan quickly raised his hands in defense.
“Don’t blame me!” He said “I tried to SAVE Kagaya! And beside’s, me and him have the same illness remember?” He pleaded
But Giyuu took no heed in his pleads. Giyuu wacked Muzan in the head with his arm, grabbed him by the collar and punched him.
Muzan pushed Giyuu’s face away. “YOU HAG! HIT ME AGAIN AND I’LL KILL YOU!” The demon king shouted
“SHUT YER TRAP! IF YA’ HADN’T BEEN SO GODDAMN WEAK KAGAYA WOULD STILL BE BREATHING PROPERLY!”
With the commotion, all the hashira’s suddenly entered the room again. With their swords at the ready
“Oyakata-sama!” Sanemi exclaimed but then suddenly stopped at the sight. Tomioka…was punching Muzan?
Shinobu was behind him and she gasped. Stopping in her tracks.
Giyuu punched Muzan again. This time Kagaya stood up “Tomioka Giyuu, my child, that is enough” he said
Giyuu looked at him “Kagaya, sweetie this is the adults talking” he said in a sweet toned voice. Muzan bit his hand and tried to rip off his flesh
Giyuu exclaimed in disgust and a tentacle emerged from his back holding onto Muzan, wrapping itself onto Muzan’s body.
That’s when the others noticed his appearance. Giyuu’s sclera appeared to be black. Red veins that look like tears lead down his face and his iris’s no longer have that beautiful deep blue color, instead replaced by red.
Muzan started yelling at him, and the hashira’s noticed the change in his appearance as well. His black hair starting to have a fade of white at the roots. His iris was no where to be seen making his eyes pure white.
Kagaya then felt something go through him. A whisper. ‘Tell them to stop’ it said, ‘Tell them to cut it out’ Alright. Not like Kagaya has a choice anyway.
The lord took in a deep breath. “STOP!” He yelled out, as loud as his voice can allow him to.
And they did. Both Muzan and Giyuu stopped dead in their tracks.
They looked at Kagaya who just stood there in silence with a pained expression on his face.
This made the two look at him with guilt. Quickly, Giyuu let Muzan down. He went walked towards Kagaya, apologizing profoundly.
Muzan got up with a groan and felt something drip down his nose, blood touched his finger tips and he sighed.
This is going to be a long night
