“Are you sure this’ll work?” Allie asked her.
Harry kept her eyes on her brewing, didn’t look at her cousin. “Of course it will,” she said shortly. “I’m a girl, after all.”
“I know,” said Allie swiftly. “I just…”
Harry looked up. “All I have to do is kick up a fuss,” she pointed out, “if it doesn’t. And since I am a girl…”
“You’ll be okay.” Allie nodded.
A girl calling herself Carina Black stepped across the threshold of the second first-year Slytherin girls’ dorm room, the one with Alasia Black written carefully upon its door.
Absolutely nothing happened.
