Work Text:
Shall I compare thee to practical boots?
Thou art more sturdy and well-car’ed-for.
Forbidden spells do break the soul anew,
And far too many youths and loves are tore.
Sometime the red-hot-blood of passions rise,
And here we find those shades matching for all;
Although the world does call for our demise,
We know that love survives the cloak’ed-call;
And furthermore that concealing us then,
When all’s revealed does make our colors known,
And while betrayal’s sting cuts foe-and-friend,
A freeze kills not the seed correctly sown.
Although my many sins have now been seen,
I know thy constant-love, eternally.
