Chapter Text

Chapter 1: A Mother's Love, Forever Cherished

Inko Midoriya had always been a doting mother. Her warm smile and gentle touch were enough to brighten even the darkest of days for her only son, Izuku. Although she struggled as a single parent with a non-existent father figure, Inko poured all her love and care into raising her precious boy.

It was a sunny Sunday morning, and Izuku could hardly contain his excitement. He knew it was Mother's Day, and he had a special surprise planned for his mom. As they walked hand in hand to the grocery store, the young boy tried his best to hide his enthusiasm, but Inko couldn't help but notice the sparkle in his eyes.

"Mom, I'm going to make you breakfast today! I've been practicing, and I promise it'll be delicious!" Izuku said, his voice filled with determination.

Inko chuckled softly, ruffling her son's unruly hair. "I can't wait, Izuku. I'm sure it'll be the best breakfast ever, just like every other meal you make for me."

Izuku beamed at his mother's praise. As they continued down the familiar streets of their neighborhood, they chatted about school, heroes, and everything else that filled Izuku's imaginative mind. Inko was always patient, giving her son her full attention, making him feel loved and valued.

Little did they know that their lives were about to take an unexpected turn. As they reached the grocery store, Endeavor, the number one hero, appeared on the scene, chasing a notorious criminal. Unaware of the danger unfolding before them, Inko and Izuku stepped into the store to do their shopping.

In a matter of seconds, chaos erupted. The criminal had nowhere to escape, and Endeavor unleashed his fiery quirk. The flames quickly engulfed the entire building, and Inko, shielding her son with her own body, took the brunt of the attack. Izuku stood there, frozen in fear, as he watched the scene before him unfold in slow motion.

"Mom!" he cried out, his voice breaking with panic and despair. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he saw his mother fall to the ground, unconscious and severely injured.

The criminal rushed to the scene, realizing it was his fault that this little boy had lost his mother. On mothers day no less. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to…" he muttered, guilt and regret weighing heavily on his heart.

But Izuku was already running away from it all, his heart pounding in his chest. He needed to escape the horror that now marked the day meant to celebrate the love of mothers. With tears blurring his vision, he ran as far as his little legs could carry him, twisting through back alleys, and empty roads. The vivid Image of his mothers body imprinted in his mind.

*✨*

The mothers back was black, and her hair was burnt and melted. The once rich vivid green, was now a dark burnt black. The only thing clearly recognizable was the woman’s right side of her face.

her skin was dark, and crumbling. There was no way she could even be alive.

the woman’s clothing melted into her skin, and blood was gushing out of her.

then izuku imagined her eyes. Green like his, but glazed over with a thin layer of white. Lifeless.

no breath came from her, and no movement existed.

and that’s when it had hit.

his ,other, Inko midoriya…

is dead.

blinking back the new wave of incoming tears, izuku stops running. The soon to be eight year old had found himself at a desolate beach, littered with trash and debris.

Daggoba beach.

Exhausted and overwhelmed, Izuku curled up in the back of an old truck, seeking refuge from the world that had suddenly turned so cruel. He clutched onto the cat plushy, (holding something izuku will soon find helpful, but alters not now, so we move on) and wept until he could no longer cry.

Seconds turned into hours, and Izuku remained unconscious in the bed of the truck.

Even if he was a wake, he would be too scared to return home or seek help. The pain in his heart was unbearable, and he wouldn't have been able shake off the feeling of losing the one person who meant everything to him. He felt lost, abandoned, and utterly alone, even as he had slept.

As he grieved, Izuku dreamed of the sweet conversation he had shared with his mom that fateful morning. He recalled her laughter and the warmth of her love, desperately holding onto those precious memories that kept him going in his darkest hours.

"Izuku, my dear," she had said, her eyes shining with affection, "you always bring so much joy into my life. You are my little hero, and I love you more than words can express."

Those words echoed in his mind, a bittersweet reminder of the love they shared. He clung to them, finding comfort in knowing he was loved, even if his mother was no longer by his side.

Little did Izuku know that this tragedy was only the beginning of his journey. A journey that would lead him to discover the true meaning of heroism and the strength that resided within his own heart.

And so, the tale of a boy with a loving mother and a non-existent father began, with pain and loss as its foundation, but with hope and resilience as its driving force. For Izuku Midoriya, the path to becoming a hero would be paved with challenges, but he would learn that the memory of his mother's love would guide him through even the darkest of times.
