Work Text:

Moon was... strange.

If someone asked Eclipse what he thought of Moon, that'd definitely cross his mind. That wouldn't be what he'd say, after all that'd be rude. It would say that Moon is a good friend and great to work with. If asked for more details, he'd say that it was clever and very focused on his jobs. But between him and Sun, Moon was the odder "twin". Moon hated it whenever someone implied the two were related, but even the naptime animatronic struggled to find a better word.

"Well, you two were the same once, ri-"

"We were never the same."

But they were, weren't they? That's what Eclipse was for in the beginning. A way to let two opposing parts become whole. But when the pizzaplex had the two become separate robots, Eclipse was given a body too. (There are some days where he wonders why, wonders if he will be scrapped, wonders if the employees will decide they only need two) Now he was supposed to watch over the two and help them with the daycare.

"Like a babysitter?"

"What are we, children?"

He was also supposed to perform at birthday parties, but it wasn't the only one with multiple jobs. Moon was security and "enforcement" and he did that job well. While he had trouble with the daycare job at times, that was one part he almost never struggled with. Sun said that he didn't always have that job, but changed the subject when Eclipse asked what he meant.

"We don't have time to focus on the past"

When he saw the Moon posters it thought that he'd be calmer, friendlier. But instead he acted like...

"He's a monster I tell you, a monster!"

A troublemaker.(He's pretty sure Moon was the one who brought Annular's arcade cabinet into their room, but he always forgot to ask) The red eyes were rather odd, too. The posters and plushies always showed him with blue eyes, but even Sun insisted that they were always red.

"That's why your eye is red! It matches Moon!"

Well, sometimes Sun could also be odd. Sometimes everything was odd.
