"Ugh Elliot is so fucking pretentious telling you to call him "boss" or "Ringleader" that... that isn't even her role? Its 'Ringmaster'? Just call them "RM" like everyone else doll." T.D rubbed their hand down their face sighing and then picking up their make up brush resuming their routine of getting ready for the show. "Now fuck off, i need to get ready." They move their hand in a 'sho'ing motion.
Maniquin rushes to it's room,rubbing their bare shoulders –they wish they could cover up more especially now during the colder months– with their spare hand as it opens its door. It walked to their desk and pulls the black eyeliner pencil they stole from T.D. it stood in front of their mirror. It slowly raised their hand with the pencil to where an eye would be. They started to draw an eye, though crudely drawnit was easy to tell it was an eye, they drew the other eye where it was needed. They stared. Their reflection stared back. They would be smiling if they could. A knock was heard from its door. It startled, accidentally drew a line across their face when they flinched.
"Hey, Mani, was it?" They paused "Anyways the shows about to start, I suggest you get ready to leave. Crowds starting to fill in." The last word sounded more muffled like someone was walking away, now that Maniquin listened they could here faint footsteps walking away. They looked to where the washing station in their room was, they rushed over and turned the faucet on quickly wetting their hands and washing their 'eyes' off. Standing back and grabbing a towel, it wiped their face off and looked back at the mirror. Seeing no residue they walked to the door and opened it.
Walking through, they turned to where the big tent would be, and started to walk towards it. they thought back to the eyeliner and how happy they were to wear it. They walked faster.
