Chapter Text
“Oh, hello!”
Big, slit-pupiled eyes stared him down from the bushes.
“Y’can come keep me company, if you’d like.” Beet offered them a gentle smile.
Sure enough, the sound of quiet footsteps approached, and Azalea crouched next to him. It was closer than they would usually like to be to someone, but this was Beet. They trusted him.
Beet kept a half eye on them while he worked. They kept pushing their hair out of their eyes, occasionally letting out a frustrated huff, trying to secure their bangs out of the way and twitching their head in an attempt to keep the length off their neck. He dusted his hands off on his pants and sat on his legs, turning to face them, “D’you need a haircut? Seems to be botherin’ you.”
Azalea’s ears twitched. They only stared up at him.
“My Spider cuts mine. Y’know him, right? Little shorter than me, lots of eyes’n arms, yeah? I could take you t’him if you want.”
