A vampire should be lonely. Should be in their castle, brooding and looming, drinking blood from fancy glasses. Or at least that’s a stereotype in the society. But here was Sabo, with his brothers, somehow getting adopted… with a werewolf ritual. Huh.
(By brothers, he meant a permanently scowling werewolf with a dotted face and a curious forest guardian who broke into the mansion he’s sealed in and had never gone a way since. Sabo tolerated them and grown to love them. Huge underestimation in his part for what’s about to come.)
“Pardon? Can you run that by me again?” Sabo squinted, brows furrowing. Oh right. He was in the middle of a conversation, blanked out after Ace said something about “ritual” and “kin”.
“I said that I’m claiming you,” Ace pointed to him, and then to Sabo, “like how I claimed Luffy. A ritual.”
Luffy nodded, “very good ritual! It’s comfy, Sabo, swear!”
Sabo blinked, brushing off a strand of hair on his cloak. Well, there isn’t any but he’d grown to have it as a way of… distracting himself in confusing situations.
This situation, at the moment. Sabo slowly looked at the two in front of him and wow, it was the same scene as before.
Ace looked at him with serious eyes, which was odd coming from a werewolf who got his tail stuck under a cupboard a few days ago. Luffy also participated the staring, which was just a bit unsettling with his huge, round eyes.
“And… what is this… ritual is all about?” Sabo raised a brow.
“Ace- oh, and me, too, wants you with us as a pack, a family, you know, nakama,” Luffy grinned, “the ritual doesn’t hurt at all!” A soft warmth coursed in Sabo’s cold chest.
Ace huffed, his tail swishing impatiently from side to side, “I want you as mine. You’re my little brother too now, y’know. I need you to have my scent, so others know that you’re in my pack, you and Luffy.”
Sabo tilted his head, “a pack can… be filled with other species?”
“Usually don’t!” Luffy helped supplied.
“-But fuck the rules,” Ace nodded.
“Yeah, fuck the rules,” Luffy nodded in understanding. Sabo nodded out of amusement. Of course they won’t give a damn about the rule of thumb.
Sabo sighed, “ of course, alright. I’ll be in the pack. I’ll be your little brother too, Ace. I care about you both to care about the rules, because fuck it,” he snickered at the thought of.
Ace lit up, ears shooting up and tails swishing fast, a giant grin on his face. Luffy snickered and jumped on Sabo, tackling him. “Hey, that’s what I’m supposed to do, Lu!” Ace turned to his full-form and tackled Sabo before he could open his mouth.
Turns out, the ritual was just very affectionate cuddling and snuggling, Ace almost frantically rubbing his fur all over Sabo, even some getting into the latter’s mouth, much to his dismay of hacked coughs. Luffy, despite not having to do anything because it was a werewolf thing, decided to join and cuddle him to death, too.
Sabo laid there on the floor, feeling an odd warmth tugging his lips, and frankly, surrounded by warmth, too. Love was warm, and maybe sometimes, it took form in a very weird inter-species pack admittance. Such a contrast to what he’d dealt, the reason why he’s stuck in the run-down mansion was because his former family rejected a bitten child, sealing him as if he’s a demon.
He had better people now, a werewolf and a forest guardian, as odd as it sounded. He melted into the soft warmth, like he did the first time he felt a hug from Luffy after being abandoned by his former family for centuries. Sabo craved touch ever since, some snuggles, especially one as a form of familial admittance, was a sweet treat from his brothers.

Ace stopped after he felt was enough. He looked at his brothers’ sleeping faces, the sun has risen anyways, it was time for their sleep. He softly looked at his brothers’ sleeping faces, feeling relieved that Sabo was now his too, his pack. His younger brother.
He treated them both to a kiss on the forehead and hugged them tight, sleeping on the floor with his tail curling around them to keep them warm.
