Chapter Text

In one world, William Afton was the man behind the slaughter, the killer of Freddy Fezbears, the monster everyone grew to despise. He burned in a fire, dying at the hands of his son and his former best friend and business partner. For years, he suffered, clinging to life in a crumbling springlock suit. A man once known for his ingenuity and prestige, now dead and gone after years of suffering and being tortured by the souls he had killed. But, what if there was a world where William Afton was a good father, kind and caring? What if Henry Emily was the man behind the slaughter? What if Henry Emily was the monster instead of William Afton?

In such a world, there is endless tragedy, manipulations on both sides of this civil war between two business partners, and no one is left unscathed. Anyone who knew or were associated with the name Emily or Afton was guaranteed to have tragedy in their life. The cursed animosity between Emily and Afton would never be completely solved until both families were no more. But until then, both sides would be trying to overthrow the other. There are no heroes or villains in either world. Just survivors and monsters do whatever they need to do to win.

Michael Afton and Sammy Emily were one in the same. Two boys determined to rid the world of the monster, the man behind the slaughter, the man who refused to die. Michael Afton had seen the beginning and died to the monster. Sammy Emily survived it all, growing up with a mission and goal to stop his father from killing anyone else. But before he could do that, he needed to confront a few demons of his own.

Michael Afton huffed as he put his backpack over his shoulders. His Foxy mask was on top of his head. He grabbed a piece of toast with butter and ate it while he waited for his siblings to be ready. Little footsteps could be heard running upstairs.

“That’s all you’re going to eat?” Michael looked up at his mother who was frowning. “Michael, toast does not constitute a full breakfast. Come on, have some eggs while I go get your siblings.” She put some scrambled eggs in front of Michael and rushed upstairs to help Evan and Elizabeth get ready for school.

“Fine,” Michael grumbled and went to eat some of the eggs, picking at the food in front of him. Before he could fully enjoy the peace and quiet, two little menaces ran into the kitchen. “We want cereal, Mike!” Elizabeth Afton demanded of her older brother, putting her hands on her hips. Evan hugged his Spring Bonnie plushie and nodded shyly. Michael couldn’t help but smile softly. He ruffled their hair, much to Elizabeth’s protests.

“Alright, alright,” Michael huffed, getting up to grab two bowls. He poured some cheerios in the bowls followed by the milk. Michael put the two bowls on the table with two spoons. “Have at it you little heathens.” He sat back down and picked at his eggs once more. “Good morning, Father,” Michael greeted his father who had just woken up from another long night of working in the basement with new animatronics.

William Afton yawned as he trudged into the kitchen, pouring a cup of black coffee and downing half of it. He topped off the cup and looked at the table. “Good morning, children,” he downed half the mug again. “Michael, did you study for your science test today?”

Michael paused, avoiding his father’s gaze. “No, but it’ll be fine. I learn more from you than at school anyways. I’ll pass it.” He ate some more of the eggs.

“Michael,” William sighed, voice condescending. “You need to study even if you don’t think you need to. Education is important.” He took another gulp of his black coffee. “I have to go in early today to meet with Henry. Your mother will bring you to school if you don’t walk to school.”

“But, Daddy, you always have to go in early,” Elizabeth pouted, eyes big as saucers. “Can’t you please spend time with us again?” She looked at William with big pleading eyes. “Please, Daddy?”

“We miss you,” Evan mumbled, hugging Golden Bonnie close to his small body.

“It would be nice to have a family night again,” Michael mumbled, drinking some orange juice.

William sighed heavily and finished his cup of coffee. “I’ll see what I can do,” he promised with a forced smile. “Henry is a tad bit pushy, but he’s my best pal. I’ll talk to him about pushing some meetings and work back so we can spend time together. Maybe get to that new amusement park that opened up.”

Clara Afton came downstairs with a soft smile. “That would be nice. Maybe we could talk Henry into letting us take Charlotte and Samuel.” Evan cringed when his mother mentioned Sammy Emily. Sammy Emily made it a habit to pick on and scare Evan at every chance. Michael had punched Sammy many times protecting Evan.

“Perhaps,” William hummed in thought, glancing at his kids, taking notice of their reactions. “I’ll talk with Henry today about it.”

“Good,” Clara smiled, satisfied. “I’ll take the kids to school. Would you be able to pick them up, Will? I have an extra shift at the hospital today. Come on, Liz, Ev, go get your shoes on.” She put on her jacket and ushered Elizabeth and Evan over to the door so they could put on their shoes.

“Come on, Evan!” Elizabeth urged, hopping off her seat and rushing to the door to put on her shoes. Evan mumbled a soft ‘coming’ and scampered after his sister. Michael watched his younger siblings finish getting ready. “I can watch them later if you want to work, Father,” he offered. “Mark, Jeremy, and Simon would love to hang out as well.”

William smiled, nodding his head. “That should work,” his smile faltered slightly. “Don’t break anything or get into trouble. Keep those friends of yours from tormenting your little siblings,” he warned Michael with a stern look.

Michael rolled his eyes. “They tease us with good fun. We all know when it’s too far. Besides, everyone loves Evan.”

“And me!” Elizabeth chirped.

“And you, too, Lizzie,” Michael added, rolling his eyes. “Come on, heathens. Mother wants to get to work.” He ushered her younger siblings to the car, almost falling over when Elizabeth jumped on his back. Evan opted to just hold Michael’s hand.

“I will see you late tonight, William,” Clara smiled, giving her husband a kiss. She grabbed her keys and purse, threw on her jacket, and walked out of the house with the three kids. William smiled into his coffee and watched Clara drive away. “Good morning, indeed,” he hummed.
