Work Text:

Bruce killed Joe Chill; that was a fact. He later learned that this was all part of the Owl Court's scheme. Too bad for them. He didn't feel any remorse for killing them.

There, he discovered a child. A young boy, a Talon. Already trained to kill the threat. How perfect. This kid's name was Richard Grayson, and soon to be Grayson-Wayne, his oldest pride and joy. This is how Richard got a father and became the dark hope of Gotham, called Robin.

Richard "Dick" Grayson was the young son of one of the most important men in the city. He was adored because he would make anyone who said something hurtful to him vanish. That was Gotham Elite's greatest kept secret. The sky is gray, the Joker is crazy, and no one messes with Bruce Wayne and his ward.

Jason Todd was an unknown; no one dared to speak aloud. A young boy stole Wayne's tire, but he wasn't punished. No, he started to be treated like a prince. He was rude and harsh, but somehow he was Wayne, so he was a part of them. They learn after Richard.

Damian Wayne was a mystery. Despite growing up with his father, he never attended balls or other events or was noticed by the general public. It was only because of the Christmas picture that they were aware of the boy. There were rumors about him stabbing some people with a fork.

Cassandra Cain is the only daughter and the killing machine. She was mute, as far as people knew, a fashion icon, and the one who was known as the most dangerous after Jason. She didn't like people; people didn't like her. Period. He found her when she tried to kill one of his own targets and decided she'd be his from now on. She didn't resist.

That was four completely amazing and beautiful children, and Bruce was able to describe himself as a pleased dad. He didn't need any more, or so he thought.
It all started with Cassandra. Somehow. She was the angel comparing to his son's. WAS.

"Little Brother," she said, "I took him." Bruce really tried to keep calm. However, his charming daughter vanished for a morning and reappeared with a boy of her height, dark-haired and blue-eyed. Bruce believes he was a boy, at least. There was a brief thought that said it had nothing to do with the issue. Staring into this blues, he had another thought: he has a problem with dark-haired children with light colour eyes.

These two were surprising identical. Cass recently cut her hair to lengthen her neck. The boy's hair was the same. The boy's blue eyes and Cass's gray ones were the only noticeable differences. Both had hoodies and jeans with black sneakers. Twins. The only way Bruce knew this was a boy with his blushed cheeks was from the fact that Cassandra introduced him as "Little Brother."

"Cassie," he started. "We can't take people from nowhere." Batmas was praying that the girl understood. She was stubborn when she wanted.

"I take him from his house." Oh no, oh hell no. Cass just kidnapped some poor kids. He was going to be in such trouble. After deciding she was done, his daughter grabbed the boy's hand and led him into the kitchen. It was adorable. Bruce attempted to reorganize his priorities. He probably should ask the boy's name first; it seemed like a good place to start.

Bruce entered Cass's room. She led the boy to her room after taking Alfred's sandwiches. They were having fun with Lego bricks. Great! Cass finally played with something other than knives.

"Can I ask you some questions?" Cass nodded, and the boy looked scared. "What is his name?"

"Little brother," did Cass seriously haven't ask his name before she kidnapped him?

"Alright." He turned his head toward the boy. "What's your name?"

"Timothy," the kid whispered quietly, "I like Tim." Bruce sent him a smile and again turned to his daughter.

"Where is Tim's house?"

"Here," Bruce sighs, needing a good shot of whisky. Did he mention his daughter's stubborn nature? And she unambiguously claimed that Tim was hers. God lord.

"Where has Tim lived before?" Cass looked at him like he was stupid.

"Next door." Next door? Drake was the only one who lived close enough...Fuck. As far as he knew, they didn't have a child, but what can he know? He's not exactly the friendly type who lives for rumors, like half of the Gotham Elite.

He needed a drink. Then he can think of everything else.

........

"You got a problem, seriously, B? Another one?" Dick was chuckling when he entered Bruce's office. The glass was half full of whisky in his hand.

"Cass, steal this one," he said after a moment. "She said she was hers. I don't know how to tell her; he needs to come back to his home. He's Drake's son. I asked Oracle to contact them so they don't think we kidnapped him—technically, we did, Cass did, but there is no way in hell that they will get that information." Bruce closed his eyes as the oldest kept laughing.

"Drake's? They are out of the country for excavatations," Dick tried to cheer him up. Bruce tried not to think about this one too hard; Tim probably had a nanny. "I came here to tell you that you made a good choice, but in this case, good luck, B." Bruce gave him a confused look. "Damian liked him." Double fuck. Whenever Damian liked someone, he became a little monster when they left. Maybe he can get playdates? And why did he get a monsters for a children? He wasn't a saint, but he did a lot of good.

Bruce's phone started ringing, and he picked up without looking to screen,"Barbara."

"Bruce. I check the boy." Bruce took another sip of alcohol. "You ain't going to like it. So his parents are in Italy for another 4 months, and then another 2 in Egypt." Bruce thought that he knew what Barb was going to say: "And he only had a hometaker come in Tuesday and Friday. After that, he's all alone." Damn. Of course, he's alone. At least no one will notice that he kidnapped Tim. Poor kid with negligent parents. Maybe Cass was right?

He proceeded to get up and return to Cass's room. To his surprise, Cass and Timothy were quietly drawing. "Hi kids. Tim, I have another question for  you."Dick stands in the door frame. "Are you home alone?"

"Yes! I'm old enough to not have a nanny!" Tim said it with a beam of pride.

"Alright sweetheart. So you're completely home alone?" Tim gave an enthusiastic nod.

"Tim house cold," Cass said with a grimace. "Museum."

"Not a museum! Mother and father have a lot of souvenirs. Furthermore, it is a waste of money and energy to heat a house for one person." Timothy's vocabulary was impressive.

"Tim, sweetheart. Heating the home is the bare minimum for the child," Bruce tried to explain.

"Tim home here!" Cassie added cherful "He can sleep with me!"

"I think Manor has enough rooms," Dick remarked, chuckling. Bruce, at this point, started to regret every time he adopted each child.

"What is going on-Why in Cass's room is her twin?" Jason walked in.

"Cassie kidnapped him," Dick answered, always happy.

"All right, dinner in five." He walked away. When does kidnapping a child become a normal situation in his house? Bruce looked at Timothy. He was a cute child—one of the cutest, to be honest. Pink cheeks with the rest of the baby fat, and light, cold blue eyes with a button nose. With black hair and fringe falling into his eyes, he needed a haircut. Bruce wondered to himself, in that one instant, when he had not been selfish. Yeah, he could be selfish longer; the kid deserves this.

"What do you say, Timmy? Should we check what Alfred makes?" He held his hand out. Although Tim hesitated for a moment before accepting the hand, he finally did so. Grinning, he picked up the child and placed it on his hip, making use of his peculiarity. Tim seems like a kid who wasn't held for a long time but quickly relaxed. Probably he hasn't. His parents were rarely home. What horrible parents! Bruce was pleased to be holding the kid. Unless he was hurt or drowsy, Dick wouldn't let him pick him up. The same goes for Jason. While they favored independence, Cass and Damian occasionally allowed him to hold them. And now Cass gives him a wonderful gift! A touch-starved child to hold whenever he wishes. Tim looked like he enjoyed it.

Good for Cass, smart like Jason, huggable size for Dick, and the closest in age to Damian, making him ideal for holding Bruce. He was too thin, so even Alfred could put his talent to use more than usual. A real treasure.

And when Tim put his head on Bruce's shoulder, he knew he would do anything for him to stay forever. Anything.

.........
"So the plane drowned? What a shame," Batman said, watching space from the watchtower. "Poor Timothy, his parents were heading home; he was so excited to see them."

"I did everything you said; no one suspects anything." Superman stood next to him. "You know, sometimes I regret. All these human lives. Do you?"

"Past days. We put them behind bars, and weeks later they killed another dozen people. It's better this way."

.........

"Where did you find young mister, miss Cassandra?"

"His garden"
