Chapter 1 – ‘’To nice to be a new yorker’’

It was a nice, cozy, warm day of summer and Mrs. Kipling almost begged in her grunts and grows for a trip to the Central Park, it has been a busy week for everyone in the house, especially to Ravi, filled with tons of exams e the election of the reptile's club, he admits that he neglected his pet a little and it made him worried about her health. He put the 7'' foot Asian Water Monitor in her leash and walked with her till the destination, stopping in the lobby to say hi to the new doorman, he might admit, he missed Tony, but he probably was happier with Jessie in Los Angeles, he though.
The park was a little bit full and too many people made Mrs. Kipling a little bit agitated, which made the people around her agitated, scared of being bitten by the poisonous lizard. He never gets why people are so scared of his pet; she was cute with her claws and poisonous spit. He certainly though she was cuter than a cat or a dog, like Zeus, the spoiled dog from Mrs. Chesterfield.
Ravi walked her calmly on their favorite's parts of the park scaring every other person that crossed they path when a cute smiley guy approached Ravi.
'' Oh my god, you have your own dinosaur! '' The cute guy was white, tall and slim. He had black medium full hair that waves in the ends. With his sweet almost innocent smile, Ravi tough he looked cute and goofy at the same time. '' My mom won't let me even have a fish! I’m Billy, by the way...
'' Mrs. Kipling is not a dinosaur; she is a very feminine and classy lady lizard. '' He answered politely, not scared to show his cute Indian accent that been fading with time. '' I’m Ravi, Ravi Ross, nice to meet you.
'' Nice to meet Ravi, can I pet her? '' Billy asked excited, like the goof ball he seemed, it was new to Ravi see someone wanting to pet his lizard, so he didn't know what to say, Kiplin has not very friendly towards people that are not family, so he thought it was better to deny.
'' I don’t think she will enjoy a stranger touching her, sorry. '' But like a traitor Mrs. Kipling entangled her tail with Billy’s leg like they were good friends, it remembered Ravi of that time when she enamored for Dez Wade but in the end, she only wanted the food in his pocket, but this time, Kipling seemed really to like him.
'' I think she likes me. '' Billy said smiling and petted her little, slow and careful. '' So, Ravi, you have a cute accent, where are you from? '' Ravi was not sure of what he thought of other guy calling him cute, but he took as a complement.
'' I'm from India'' He responded, and both sited in a bench close by. Ravi realized too slow that it was an opportunity to make a friend and it made him smile a little, that strange but '' You don’t seem from here nether, where are you from?
'' Well... I’m from Metroburg, but how do you know I'm not from here? ‘’
'' You are too nice to be a new yorker. '' Ravi said like it was obvious. '' How long will you be in New York? Maybe if you have time we can go to my house and we can play video game together. '' Ravi asks, almost pleading. He wanted so much bring a friend to home, to belong, just like his siblings.
'' I... Will be here for a few weeks... I’d love to, which kind of games do you like? '' Billy wants used to lie, he was, by heart, a simple innocent and golden hearted boy, but he couldn't just say that he used to travel around the world with his super speed and he would go back to Hiddenvile today. He wanted to become friends with the other boy, it was so difficult for him found someone that wanted to be his friend that were not family related and this boy had his own alligator for God's sake, he couldn't think of something cooler.
They started to talk about video games, and talked animatedly for what seemed about an hour, Ravi explained too Billy how to pass a mission in Grand Theft Auto IV and Billy gave Ravi tips in Fortnite they seemed to get along well, they even found out they both started to work very young for more money so can buy more video games.
'' So, you taught yoga in your builder for money? That’s cool. '' Ravi was not which part of its Billy thinks is cool, but he is flattered someone thinks he’s cool, he made a note of try teaching Billy how do yoga and meditate, he looks like the kind of guy that clears his thoughts easily.
'' I wish I had your idea of business; you have no idea of how money I would make if I took the blame of everything my siblings do wrong for money. '' Ravi says, but he knew he couldn't do it, he was a good two shoes, it was difficult enough be dragged to his siblings' scams without trying.
'' Yeah, I got a lot of money of my older brother Max that mouth, but my parents found out eventually...'' Billy remembered of getting in trouble for getting in trouble, his mom got so mad that grounded him for a mouth, but at least he kept the money. '' So... I think I need to go back... My parents probably worried with not knowing where I am.
Billy said it know was not usual for him be so away from home, normally he would be playing video games, or in his room doing nothing on TikTok with Nora and Chloe, as he has no friends outside his family it was very unusual for him stay so long outside. His original plans were to visit the Central Park, maybe get a bagel or a pretzel and chill, ‘til he saw a cute boy with a dinosaur and completely forget what he was going to do.
'' That’s fine, can we meet here again tomorrow? '' Ravi asked looking forward see the other boy again, he finally had a friend it was so exciting.
'' I’d love to, same place same hour? '' Proposed Billy.
'' It’s a deal.’’
