Chapter Text
"You smell amazing." Simon said while putting on August's hoodie.
"Uh I assume that's a compliment so thanks?" August replied.
"Of course it's a compliment you dimwit. What? Never been told you smell nice before?"
August, had in fact never been told that before. It was news to him. He figured he just smelled average. Not bad, not good, just average.
"No, I can't say that I have. Until now of course." August said.
"Well, you should be told it more often because it's very true." Simon said while walking over to the mirror. "Are you sure it isn't too obvious."
Simon was referring to August's hoddie. Even though they had been together for a while now, they still weren't out to the school. By now, most people had figured out that they were friends. They haven't done anything coupley in public that would hint at a realstionship.
But it was Valentine's day and Simon had mentioned wanting to wear something of August's for longer than a couple hours. However, it was clear Simon was worried about people noticing, which would be kinda creepy if people were able to recognize something like that. Previously they'd only 'shared' clothes in private. (Shared as in Simon wore August's stuff and August wore August's stuff.)
"No I don't think it's very obvious. If someone notices then kudos to them for paying that much attention to what I wear." August said.
"Yeah but you wear this one a lot. People might notice. I don't want you to get outed."
August walked over to hug Simon from behind, resting his chin on Simon's head.
"Babe, it's fine. No one will notice. Even if they do, it's fine because I was planning on being less subtle with you soon anyways." August insisted.
And it was true. They'd been together for about two and a half months now and August was pretty comfortable with his sexuality. But at the same time he's not gonna make a big huge announcement about it, if people ask about it, he'll tell them. If people figure it out, it's fine.
"If you insist." Simon turned to kiss August on the lips. "Not like I needed much convincing anyways. But what do I say if people question it?"
"Just tell them it is mine. They can connect the dots if they want to."
"Alright will do." Simon kissed August again. "Now according to the clock we have ten minutes before we have to go to class. And ten minutes is enough time to make out." Simon said, lightly pushing August towards his bed.
"You are so so right." August said before picking him up bridal style and carrying him over to the bed.
August gently threw Simon onto the bed and climbed on top of him. Almost immediately Simon grabbed his face and smashed their lips together.
After a minute in this position August was starting to get uncomfortable because he was trying not to crush Simon. So he he broke the kiss, which Simon whined a little to, and then flipped them so Simon was straddling his lap. Simon wouldn't crush August and this was their preferred making out position anyway.
They continued to make out for about another 8 minutes but they did need to get to class.
August gently pushed Simon's face away from his. "We gotta go to class."
"No." Simon said, laying on top of August and burying his face in August's chest.
August chuckled. "Clingy today I see."
"Shut up. It's Valentine's day. Leave me be."
"Not like I'm complaining but we do have classes to attend. So let's go." August said.
"Make me." Simon said challengingly.
"Jesus Christ you're very stubborn today." August then picked up Simon and carried him out the door to the hallway and set him down.
"Ughhhh. Didn't think you would actually make me." Simon whined.
"You'll regret it later if you skip class. You can come to my room during lunch, ok."
"Fineeee."
---
Simon was very pumped and ready for lunch. He couldn't wait to see his boyfriend. God, if you told him a couple months ago he was going to date August, he would've thought you were delusional. Yet here he is, Dating some asshole who turned out to be pretty nice.
August was a lot more straightforward about liking him than Wille. That also could've been attributed to the fact that August isn't crown prince of Sweden. Still, the dancing around feelings and the 'oh I'm not like that' and then proceeding to kiss him was a little annoying. Obviously Wille was confused but still.
Wille and him haven't talked much since Erik's death when Wille broke it off for good. Only occasional greetings and head nods here and there but that's about it.
Well, that was until Simon was walking to August's room after lunch.
