Chapter Text
Diana could be described as many things. A genius for one, top of her classes for one thing. A hero (Who knows where she got that one. Every time she thought about it, she got the start of a headache). One more thing people use to describe her? Composed. A word that basically meant she wasn’t surprised outwardly that easily. That made what happened when she woke up to be a surprise.
So this is what happened: When she did wake up, she found a star like plushie. Attached to the plush she did not remember getting was a note:
A special gift for a special girl. Love you!
Showing the gift to her dorm mates was almost a fruitless exercise as well. When she showed them it, the two gushed at how Diana had a secret admirer. She then asked if any of them knew who it could be.
”Who it could be? Try who it COULDN’T be. I’m pretty sure 75% of the school population here is somewhat curious in girls.”
With that comment Diana went back to her room to stew about this mystery in front of her. It could be anyone, she didn’t recognize the handwriting at all. Looking to her bookshelf, she noticed a book she had been reading.
Sherlock Holmes is what it was called. What seemed like a silly book ended up being something mildly interesting. The book was about a detective who solved mysteries. And that book contained a step by step instruction manual for how to solve mysteries, like this one right here. Therefore, if Diana uses the steps in the book, she would solve the mystery.
This should be easy…
Right?
