Although he was on good terms with the other kids, Hyp still felt left out even when he was with his friends, Mutt and Nod. The trio make their way through the usual hangout spot just shy of the watering hole where he threatened Little Foot and his friends if they tattled about the water, they would be very sorry.
"Soooo… What now Hyp?" Mutt mumbled, messing with a small broken branch he got from a tree leaning low to the ground, "Whaddya mean what now? How I'm suppose to know?" he grunted. Nod squints his eyes at Hyp as he just trudges along, kicking a few rocks into the water next to them.
"You're always the one who decides what we do, now you're not sure?" Nod said getting smart with Hyp. He growls back at Nod in response, "Shut it, you baby! I'm just… trying to think for a sec. Until you opened your big yap!" Nod and Mutt looked at each other unsurely when suddenly there is some rustling beside the trio.
Hyp steps up first, "If one of you hatchlings is tryna pull prank, it's not gonna work! Now get out here so we can… pound-?!" Hyp gets wide eyed as a different type of dinosaur walks out of the brush. One none of the great valley dinosaurs have seen before.
Graced with a snow white feather down, long beautiful tail, green eyes, standing on two legs with feathers on the arms, was an avali. She hadn't notice Hyp's shouts as she walks over casually to the small watering hole to drink and wash her feathers bit.
"Whoa…" All three boys said at the same time. Hearing them, she perks her ears, showing that she has 2 sets of ears, and looks at the boys gawking at her. She looks at them wide eyed; confused, but when she saw Hyp drooling while looking at her, she couldn't help but giggle. She was actually use to it.
"Hey boys, sorry I didn't see you there. Just having a drink." She said sweetly while working to dry her feathers off. Hyp, Nod and Mutt could only stutter as the Avali turned to start walking away. This snaps Hyp out of his frozen state and he races up to her, "Hey! Wait, don't go! Why don't you… Why don't you hang out with us?" he said, trying to flirt all the sudden, making the avali giggle as she smiles.
"Well, I didn't know if you had wanted to with the way you were frozen there… Mmm, sure. I'll stick around. I'm Nahali, or Nesaka, either is fine. What's your names?" she asked. Hyp blushed deeply, but tried to keep up his cool guy act even with his bright red cheeks, "Name's Hyp, I lead these two chumps. Nod and Mutt." he dismissively greets his best friends behind him. Who glare at Hyp and try to shove him out of the way to be next to Nahali.
"Don't act like you're all tough now, you baby!" Nod yelled at Hyp. "I am tough! I took on those sharp teeth with my dad!"
"Yeah and ran after they saw you!"
"You wanna do something, Nod?! HUH?!" the boys growled at each other while Mutt looked between them nervously. Nahali blinked and stepped between the two growl males who were about to brawl, "Hey, hey you two. No need to fuss okay? Here, I know where some fruit- I mean tree sweets are. Come with me." she said, immediately grabbing Hyp's hand.
Hyp grins goofily at her then smugly at Nod as he follows Nahali, walking next to her. Hyp couldn't stop himself from staring at Nahali's hips and rump. Swallowing hard as the warm tingles started to build up in his belly and his groin. Nod growled while glaring at Hyp but quickly pursues Nahali standing on her other side while Mutt walked behind her.
Nahali leads the boys towards the area, where she herself, grows the fruit. But she knows they call them 'tree sweets' so she addresses them as such. On the way there, suddenly Little Foot, Cera, Ducky, Peitrie and Spike cross paths with them. The group of five younger dinos look at Nahali shocked, "Whoa! I've never seen a dinosaur like you before!" Little Foot said excitedly.
Nahali smiled at Little Foot kindly, making Hyp glare at Little Foot out of jealousy and stands in front of Nahali, "Back off, hatchlings! She's our new friend!" he ordered. Cera rolls her eyes, "Oh please, she probably just feels sorry for you three losers. Even after the great giving, you still act like you're bigger and better. When really you're just really feeling bad." she snorted.
Nahali looks at Hyp with wide eyes and he shakes his head frantically, "N-No, she doesn't know what she's talking about Nahali! Don't listen to these babies!"
"Nahali? That's a nice name. I'm Little Foot." the young longneck said, completely changing the subject to defuse the situation. Nahali nods while giggling again, "I'm Cera, a three horn." Cera said. "My name Peitrie, me a flyer! You be a flyer too?" the little flyer side flapping up to look around Nahali. "Hehe! You could say that. How about you two?" she asked Ducky and Spike, "I'm Ducky and this is my brother Spike! It is very nice to meet you. It is. It is."
Hyp was growing extremely annoyed that the "hatchlings" were delaying things. He was still holding Nahali's hand so he tried to get her attention by giving her a small squeeze. It does the trick as she looks at him, the smile still on her face, "Sorry Hyp, I didn't mean to hold us up. It was nice meeting you all. But I promised Hyp and his friends to take them to a special place."
"A special place? Can we come?!" Little Foot shouted excitedly and his friends cheering following suit. As much as Nahali would love to, she could tell that Hyp didn't want that, neither did Nod or Mutt as the three glared at the group of five. "Maybe some other time, Little Foot. I can only take one group at a time. But don't worry, I'll show you another time!" she said. Then turns to the trio she was leading away, "Alright guys, let's get going. The bright circle looks like it's starting to set and I want to show you before it starts to get dark." she said then continued to lead, Hyp, Nod and Mutt towards the special place.
Littlefoot and his friends watched as Nahali lead Hyp and his friends away. And noticed that Hyp was being rather… clingy to Nahali although she seemed to not noticed. Or was pretending to not notice. "That creep is going to be so much trouble for that girl. I don't even know why she is hanging out with them. They're a buncha bullies who only talk big. But aren't big at all." Cera huffed. Littlefoot shook his head, "I don't think so, it's more like she's having an effect on him instead. Come on guys, let's sneak after them. I wanna see this secret place Nahali is taking them." Littlefoot said. His friend nodded in agreement and walked behind him following the teen dinos.
Nahali continues to lead Hyp, Nod and Mutt until they reach a thick brush. Which she created to hide this location. "What's with all the leaves and vines?"Hyp asked, walking forward being a gentleman for Nahali. Nod grunted as Nahali giggled at Hyp while he kept trying to impress her. "These vines keep trespassers out. Only I know how to get through here as these vines aren't too friendly to those who aren't feathertails." she said, calling Avali 'feathertails'.
(PAUSE! This is hinted to some of the vegetation in Starbound! Plus I feel like plants in the Cretaceous were A LOT larger and could trap certain dinos if not careful. Thankfully, no dinos get hurt here! Maybe a small poke but that's it)
Hyp grins as Nahali starts leading the three boys through the brush of vines and leaves. Just as they disappear, Littlefoot and his friends approach the brush curiously. "This doesn't look so hard to get through" Cera gloated as she walks towards the vines. It proves to be a mistake as the vines actually poke and scratch her, "OW! What the? Which of you scardy eggs poked me?!"
"We didn't, those vines did and they're moving!" Ducky pointed shocked as several vines swayed at Cera keeping her from going any further. "WHAAA! We need to get away from those vines!" Littlefoot pulls Cera away from the vines quickly making them fall back on their bums. "Should we tell the grown ups?" Ducky asked. The others looked at her unsurely then at Littlefoot. The young long neck thought hard, 'Hmm, I don't want to cause any trouble… maybe they'll be okay."
After traveling a fair distance, Nahali has guided Hyp, Nod and Mutt to her haven of fruit. The boys were more than pleased, digging in and eating a few of the 'tree sweets'. They were only able to eat 2 or 3 before they were completely stuffed, as the fruits were really large. "I can't believe you have this place to yourself." Hyp said in awe.
Nahali giggled again as she sat between Hyp and Nod again. The sun was starting to set and Nahali knew that the boys would be called home soon. She didn't realize they all had been in her fruit patch for the entire day. Making the trek back home, Nod's mom and uncle walk up once Nahali and the trio arrive at their home grounds.
"Time to go home Nod. Yer ma has dinner ready, don't want it to get dry do ya?" his uncle said. Nod shook his head, "I'm good Uncle, Nahali gave me, Hyp n' Mutt some grub!" he said. Nahali peaking behind them and waving kindly, "Oh my! I've never seen a dinosaur like you before!" the mom said, earning a laugh from Nahali, "I'm not surprised. We Feathertails tend to live in thick brush and caves. The places are quiet and we stay there because our ears don't like a lot of noise." she says, lowering her ears from the echoes in the great valley.
Mutt's mom and dad also show up, they give the same response as Nod's family but are more quick to rush off. Hyp however, was not in much of a hurry to get back to his father. In fact, ever since the great giving, his dad had met a new lady dinosaur not long after. The pair hit it off quickly, to the point Hyp was forgotten a lot of the time.
"Hyp? Are you not going home?" Nahali asked, looking worried. Hyp groaned while shaking his head, "My dad is too busy with his new girlfriend to even care I'm not home. He hasn't even remembered to say hi to me for the past few times the bright circle rose and fell."
Nahali frowned, she didn't think badly of Hyp's dad, understanding that when males find a female they are really into… things get a bit intense. Especially if the lady is in heat…
"I see, you can stay with me in my den for now if you want. But only if you're sure that your dad won't be upset." she said. Hyp doesn't even give it a second thought.
"Sure! I'll stay the night with you!" he shouted excitedly. Nahali laughs at his enthusiasm, 'I'm sure his dad will come around to see if he's okay soon. They both just need time.' she thought to herself. "Okay Hyp, follow me. It's already pretty dark." She said with slight caution in her voice. Hyp was too excited to even thing about it being dark.
Going back through the thick brush and to her den where she sleeps, Nahali guides Hyp over to a small dip in the ground where some leaves have been placed. "It's not fancy, but I hope it's comfortable?" she asked Hyp timidly. He was in awe the den as it was not too cold or humid, it was just right. How did she do it?
"I'd crash here and never wanna go home." he said dreamily, staring at Nahali as she walks pass him to get fresh leaves to rest on. He was eyeballing her rear again, but this time, he could clearly see more of her. His eyes were fixed on her slit as she bends over to pick up more leaves, to which Nahali is completely oblivious that Hyp can see her lady parts. "Hehe, I don't mind company. I usually am here by myself, so I don't get the chance to have others see my home."
Now holding a fresh batch of leaves, Nahali turns around and comes back towards Hyp, cleaning up the old leaves and replacing them with new leaves. "There we go, all nice and comfy." she said proudly then glanced up at Hyp. Nahali's eyes get big as she covers her muzzle. "What? What's wrong?!" Hyp asked in a panic. Nahali looks to the side as her cheeks turned bright red, "Nothing, it's just… you seem rather… excited down there."
Hyp was confused until he looked down, he couldn't believe it. Out in full view was his hard on. Pink, swollen and twitching, "Oh crud! Uhh… N-Nahali? I can… I can explain! It's not-" Hyp groaned inwardly at himself, "Great you idiot, now she'll never wanna be around you!' he scolded himself. To his surprise, Nahali shakes her head and pats the bedding on the den floor, "It's okay, I don't mind. Here let's get some rest okay?" she said sweetly smiling him.
Hyp gulped, there was only one spot for them to lay on together right next to each other. The thought made his hard on twitch more, Nahali laid down on the bedding first, "I hope this is comfortable?" she asks while giving him a shy smile. Unable to control himself, Hyp crawls into the bedding with Nahali. But in the process, accidentally trips and falls on top of her, making her squeak in surprise.
Sitting up, Hyp groaned shaking off how dazed he was then blinked rapidly as he sees he's right on top of Nahali! And top it off, his hard on was right up against her slit. She gulps again, worried that Hyp is too frozen to move so she assists with pushing him off her. But she doesn't get the chance. 'Screw it, she's so freaking cute…' he thought as he shifted until the tip of his hard-on slipped between the folds of Nahali's slit. "H-Hyp? What are you… Are you sure you're okay with this?" she asked. Hyp nodded his head rapidly, "The burning in my gut is telling me to just do it."

Nahali nodded her head, leaning up a bit to lick Hyp's muzzle. "It does, very… Keep going, please?" she knew that they were basically mating but at that moment, her mind stopped working and she could only process the pleasure. Hyp nodded and groaned as he thrusted deeper into Nahali, she moans and chitters up at him making him blush hard, "Man, you're so warm… I didn't know this way of cuddling felt this good. Feels like your squeezing me." he panted with a huge grin and a half lidded glance.
He moved his tail so that both of their tails would wrap and tangle around each other. Nahali curled her legs so her feet rested on his hips, the small bumps and ridges on hips member rubbing along her walls and trying to latch themselves the more he thrusts. Hyp couldn't help but chuckle at her as he started thrusting into her quickly, "It's start to burn down there… but in a good way… It's so good! Nahali knows Hyp isn't familiar with the action but she giggled as she cupped his muzzle in her hands, making him look at her surprised as she leans in putting her lips on his. Hyp was so stunned by the move but melted in the moment, kissing Nahali back. He was even trying to push his tongue into her mouth as she pulled back to speak, "It's okay Hyp, I really like you. You're cool and cute too."
Hyp looked at her in disbelief, knowing that his teeth popped out here and there, yet she has a perfect set of teeth, smooth fuzz skin and feathers, while his scales were all rough and unappealing.
"You really think I'm cute? I dunno Nahali, my scales aren't smooth like yours, my teeth are out in some spots-"
"Stop silly, I think you're cute and I like you. You don't have to look all handsome." she protested cutting him off.
"I'm not the nicest guy either… I won't lie to ya, I've bullied those hatchlings a lot. Made me feel better at one point… but seeing how I feel with you now, I feel like a dung heap." he mumbled. Nahali had an idea but wanted to confirm it, "Was it because of your dad?" she asked sweetly. Hyp nodded shamefully, his frown had deepened.
"I'm sure he is just being over protective and make you be tough in his own way. I can help you feel better if you want?" she offered, Hyp's smile returned and he chuckled, "You already helping me feel amazing." he shifted his hips a little making his member rub inside her, which was still engorged and pulsing as spurts of his seed were pumped into her. "I'm glad, Hyp."
Hyp grinned and attempted to get up off of her, but stops when he feels his member and slit pull Nahali up with him. Hyp was so shocked at her, but he smiled and grinded into her, "Can… can we do that again?" Nahali looks at him shocked, "You want to mate with me again?" she asked back. "Mating? I didn't know that's what it's called." he said but nodded, "Uhh, I could end up getting… eggs from this Hyp." she said worried. And for some reason this just excites Hyp, "Now I REALLY wanna mate with you."
Adjusting his hold around her, Hyp grinds into Nahali again, rewarding him with more of her moans, "Mmm, Hyp, you t-tease." she pouted smiling at him. "You're tease, Nali." he purred.
