Crowley's Inspiration

Summary:

Just a short headcanon/drabble about why I think Crowley and the Tenth Doctor look so similar

Notes:

This is something I wrote in like 10 minutes, just ignore the obvious plotholes please

Work Text:

It floated aimlessly in the great nothingness. The Almighty had brought it into existence what felt like forever ago but also no time at all. The creature -no, angel. It could feel that was the correct term- hovered contently. It felt nothing but happiness, as that was all it had ever felt.

Soon, the Universe would be created. But first, the Almighty had instructed the angel to choose a form. It had floated off to look for inspiration. Maybe that wasn’t the best idea, everything was nothing. Not much inspiration there.

Then, the nothingness ended. A large, blue…something…appeared out of nowhere with a woosh. It whined and flashed as it faded into existence. Was this another being? Had the Almighty sent the box to accompany the angel?

It tilted its head curiously, watching the box open. Something odd stepped out. The creature was definitely alive, but not like anything the angel had ever seen. The strange thing moved with such grace though. It sat quietly on the edge of the box, staring out into the great nothingness.

“Can’t believe I never went here before now. It’s so peaceful,” whispered the creature. “I could just stay here forever.”

The angel gazed in awe at the creature. Then they (that felt so much more right than “it”) began to create their form. Slowly, the presence shifted. Soon enough, the angel had the same shape as the elegant creature. The hair wasn’t right though, so the angel made it ginger. That felt correct on some deeper level. Then he (because the angel was realizing that’s how he would like to be viewed) sauntered back to the Almighty, proud of his creation.
