Chapter Text

As soon as I regained consciousness I could feel that I was in the territory of some God again and just by listening to his voice I came to the conclusion that it was the territory of that useless man of death.

"I'm sorry Cale, there was an alteration in space-time when you sealed the god of despair and your existence was accidentally removed. The world went back but without the existence of Cale Henituse."

"Are you fucking with me!? Wait... They're planning on giving me back right?"

"Currently we can't make many changes outside of the alteration but we can make you reborn in the altered area with a new identity. I forgot to mention, although the sealed god is no longer found, the white radish is still there."

"Rot you!" Cale said frustrated, remembering that he was nowhere near fulfilling his dream of a lazy life.

The God of Death could only continue the explanation when he realized that one of his favorite children would curse him even longer. "We really don't know why this happened yet, and we only realized the distortion until Cale Henituse wasn't born when he was supposed to be... Deruth Henituse just got engaged to Violan, and the rest is history."

Cale was slightly alarmed and complained, frowning.

"Tch, you really are useless... Will any of my family remember anything? When I'm reborn, what will happen to me? Will I forget them too?"

"I don't think so, but you'll always be able to find them one way or another. As for your situation, because your body will be too young to withstand too much power, we'll temporarily seal your old powers, and you'll gradually begin to lose the seal as you grow older, although you may suffer from narcolepsy as a side effect..."

At that moment, his back felt cold when he saw Cale's gaze, but with effort, he maintained his position and continued. "We've also made the whip's function completely yours, and you should maintain communication with the elementals as the seal loses its power. You'll probably only have partial memories of this conversation, but since you have your ability, it's possible you'll remember everything over time..."

Cale analyzed every word the God of Death mentioned, and once he finished organizing his thoughts, he smiled a smile that, if Raon had seen it, would have said, 'Who are we going to scam this time?'

"I understand, but isn't that a bit of a stretch?"

"What... What do you mean?" The God of Death shuddered.

"According to what you said, my existence was erased for something that has nothing to do with me. The world moves on without me, and the only additional help you're giving me is that I can now use the whip as an ability, and I'll retain the old skills and powers I already had, not to mention the narcolepsy. That seems like a bit of a stretch, considering I also have to deal with that rotten radish at a younger age." He explained with a stoic expression. 'Stupid God, if I have to take care of that white radish again, it'll be on my own terms. That way, I can slack off and just move until the end.'

Cale didn't know whether or not he would retain the powers he had embraced, especially the annual rings of life for the possible continued existence of Jour Thames, but having the vitality of the heart, he understood that only he could activate the branch of the world tree again.

"So?"

"Strengthen my plate and return its memories." Cale again got straight to the point.

"The God of Balance might get angry with me and even torture me if I do that... uh... also... depending on the race, it might be harder for them to remember." The God of Death explained anxiously.

"Pissed off my ass." Cale continued speaking with a stoic demeanor, staring at the God of Death. "I don't care what you do to achieve this, just do it."

"Fine, I'll see what I can do."

After that, Cale's vision went dark.

* * *

In a long hallway located in the imperial palace, only endless bustle could be heard from the servants.

"I can't believe it! He's a boy!"

"His Highness has not yet opened his eyes but I am sure that he has the beautiful jewel eyes of the imperial family."

"Is the empress okay? I thought she looked a little pale..."

"I just hope this baby brings happiness to the imperial family... do you still remember what happened two years ago?"

"Shh, be quiet, his majesty is coming."

A beautiful golden-haired man with blue jewel eyes that could shine if the light of the sun or moon surrounded him calmly walked to the end of the hallway and opened a door that as soon as he opened it he was greeted by a small mocking greeting from a beautiful red-haired lady who was resting in a gigantic bed.

"Silly emperor, I told you I wasn't going anywhere cough."

"Ha idiot, you didn't really die but you certainly need rest, you won the bet, what do you want?"

"Since I was the one who kept him in the womb, I also want to name him. I wish that both this little one and Athanasia receive the affection they deserve from his father."

"I still need time with that girl, from what you say it seems like she's fine." The man paused and continued. "So have you thought of the name yet?"

'Ha, diverting the topic as always.' At the man's response, the woman simply shook her head and responded. "Cale...her name will be Cale."

The golden-haired man turned his head away from her and walked over to where a baby with a few strands of reddish hair lay asleep.

"Cale... I remember that in a certain ancient language it means hero... a hero and an immortal. Ha, how funny and stupid at the same time but not bad. Cale from Alger Obelia that will be your full name, welcome to the family imperial."

If Cale had been conscious at that moment he would probably let out a loud cry while he cursed the God of Death internally.

TO BE CONTINUE...

Notes:

As mentioned above, Cale is younger so I will ask:
How young do you think he is?

I spent about an hour trying to figure out the acceptable age difference so I really hope someone figures it out ;-;

Ugh, what a strain it is to publish this T-T

I don't know if it is well written but I did what I could >_<

Even so, I will try to improve, it may not be the minimum 2,000/3,000 words that half the world is used to but I hope you understand, I am not an expert so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.

Thank you for reading this far and I just hope that someone likes this and if not maybe I'll just leave everything in drafts or leave the notepad I made while playing with my imagination in dust.
