Chapter 1: Part 1: Who's There?!

Chapter Text

Suddenly, the sky was covered in thick storm clouds.

Everyone felt chills in their spine when they noticed a dark-cloaked figure appeared in front of them.... a vampire!

Everyone recognized it as the one that attempted to kidnap Feli for her magic, and one of the fiercest foes from the World of Sorcery... the Count!

"What have you done with Raffina and Lidelle?!" Amitie shouted (in spite of her being scared out of her wits).

"My second-in-command will take very good care of the demi-human," The Count responded sinisterly. "I bet the She-Hulk will never find her..."

This comment practically pissed off not just the remainder of the Fever Squad, but everyone else. No one was more angrier than Sig.

"Let them go."

"Or what? You're too weak to stop me and my army." As soon as the Count said that, an army full of Yogs, Shadow Mice, and Shadow Rabbits formed behind him.

"It's worth a shot to take out villainous scum like you," Accord remarked.

"Need a helping hand?" Out spoke a voice that belonged to no one there.

A portal opened behind Team Puyo, and out came Atari and Roquier, agents of the Spacetime Detective Agency.

"ATARI?! ROQUIER?! What are you guys doing here?" Ringo asked, clearly baffled.

"A disturbance in the space time continuum was detected here," Roquier stated, "and all of our clues point to this vampire."

"So it's time to kick some bad guy booty!" Atari exclaimed.

"Tsk tsk. You're going to need more than that."

Schezo, Rulue, Lagnus, Alex, and the Dark Prince Satan entered the scene.

"I guess one ass whooping wasn't enough," Satan snarked. "I guess he needs another..."

"I still need revenge for what he's done long ago!" Rulue shouted.

"When will you learn that good always triumphs over evil!" Lagnus and Alex announced.

"Count, your reign has reached its climax!" Schezo yelled. "Brace yourself for the climax!"

Everyone on Team Puyo audibly groans. "Schezo, read the room!" Arle shouted.

"AUGH! I meant to say to prepare yourselves for battle!"

After ten seconds of silence, Count signals his army to strike, and the battle begins.

Raffina was tree-hopping across Nahe Woods. On a tall pine, she was able to find Lidelle: tied up and gagged with her hair undone, and being dragged away by a Shadow Mouse, angering Raffina to her core. Thanks to her being the most athletic student of Primp Magic School, she ninja-ed her away across the treetops and caught up to the Shadow Mouse, grabbing it by its throat, dashing to the nearest cliff, and kicking it to kingdom come. She quickly dashed back to Lidelle, untying her, removing the gag, and redoing her hair buns.

"Are you OK, Lidelle?"

"Th-thanks to you, Raffina." Lidelle couldn't look at Raffina, ashamed of being a damsel-in-distress... again.

"Lidelle, I've been meaning to tell you the truth... Sig actually is in danger. He might be corrupted again."

"What? Raffina! Why didn't you let me help?"

"I-I- I was afraid of putting you in harm's way, so I didn't tell you. W-Well. you can see how well that turned out..."

Lidelle was speechless. Raffina really does care for her!

"What I'm trying to say is that the next time something goes wrong, I'll fill you in. Most importantly... I'm so sorry for driving you away!"

"Don't worry, Raffina! I'm okay now!" Lidelle assured by hugging Raffina. "I also found out something about the rainwater from our battle!"

"What did you discover?" Raffina asked.

“The magic within it… I don’t think it’s from Primp. It seems like something… Something from Amitie’s friend’s world... Arle’s world. And it’s strong. So strong. But… even though it’s strong, it wasn’t exactly skillful. U-Um… Maybe this person, whoever they are, doesn’t specialize in weather magic? Yeah… And, I think it might’ve been… dark magic? This is just a theory though… But it’s useful, I think!"

"That checks out! That's something to discuss with the others once we return to Primp." Raffina stated.

Lidelle uttered an adorable giggle, proud to help out a friend. However, this small moment of bliss was interrupted by an explosion.

"It's Sig and the others! Come, Lidelle, we must hurry!"

"R-Right!"

And so, the duo dashed to Primp Town to assist their friends.
