Nene left a sigh between her nose. The ever loveable Emu spammed messages to Nene. Telling her to go to Sekai for a surprise. So mysterious
Nene knows this is clearly for her birthday. Because today is her birthday. And because it is, of course her friends would celebrate with her. But she didn't know if Rui and Tsukasa would also join to celebrate. Nene looks through her messages again

Welp, that confirms. That Emu is incredibly stupid (Nene still loves her the way she is) and that she needs to be more cautious for the two duos of destruction, Tsukasa and Rui. Like any interaction of the duo, there is a guarantee of screams, chaos, and explosions. Not literally but… one day could happen
After gaining her vision from the brightest flash on her phone, she is now at the Sekai. Colorful much to say. She tries to spot the girl she spoke today. Or a least the duo. But there is nobody
‘Guess they are in the tent. Mmmh, gotta be careful for those two. They might make my birthday a living nightmare’, She slowly walks to it. Looking left to right
Upon reaching it, she peeks inside
Nobody
Something is… weird. Or wrong either way. No one is there. No blonde, light-purple or pink hair in sight. Not even the vocaloids are present or the billions of plushies flying and running around
“Hello? Is anyone here?”
No response
“...Alright, I guess my lonely Taiyakis are only getting eaten by me… Shame only I get to eat this”
No response yet again
Damn… it should had worked. Emu love those things. She could have popped out of nowhere and grabbed those. Or even her attempt to lure her out didn't work also. Oh well
Nice thing for Nene to bring Taiyakis just for her tho
Upon leaving, she notice something on her sight that even shocked her. A trail of tied balloons. With a pattern of colors. Pink, yellow, purple and green. It's wasn't there before. When did this happened?
‘Huhg-How… did a trail of balloons suddenly appeared?’, Nene pokes at the mysterious balloons. It jerks back and forth but nothing worth happened. It is in fact, balloons
Without wanting to think much, she eventually follows the trail. After a long walk (how much work did these guys put?!), the trail stops. Nene gets confused and looks around for more
She is currently at a place where she isn't much familiar in the Sekai. Behind the biggest ferris wheel she ever look at
‘I don't see anymore more balloons- HUH?!’
A giant ass cake appeared out of nowhere. In plain sight. A 8ft tall cake just laying around in this Sekai. Nene stared at it in disbelief. Pretty much white. The cake reeks of some smell. It smells… actually it smells kinda good. Nene heads to the cake and pokes it
Yep, it is definitely a real cake. A little bit of it has stuck to her fingers. Nene licks it
“Mmh! It taste like grapefruit! Is this a grapefruit cake?”
“Yeah! Isn’t it cute?!”
A familiar high pitch voice. When she turned around…
*Pop!*
Confettis popped, covering her entire face. She opened her eyes
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NENE!!!!”
Lo and behold, everyone is now here! The remaining troupe members, vocaloids and all the plushies. Nene blinks twice. Then three times. Then four times-
“How is your evening, Nene? Having a good time?”, spoke Rui with his iconic smug face
“You asking me that now?”, Nene can cried as much as she wants. Nothing can get through Rui’s evil smug
“Seems like you do~”
Before Nene could even try combat Rui, someone screeched
“NENE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!”, Emu tackled the birthday girl into a hug leaving Nene In brief confusion before scolding Emu
“E-Emu! I told you to not do that all of the sudden!”
“But today is your birthday! I made pop-pop! with confettis!! AND! I definitely made you smile. Right?!”
Nene couldn't get hold of the radiating shining happiness of Emu. Too much. Maybe today she let her off this time. “Y-You sure did…”. But the hug didn't stop and Nene couldn't help but noticed. She is still hugging her! “S-So, when are you gonna to… let me go?”
“When Nene commands me to stop”, Emu hugs her slightly tight. Nene's face gets deeply red
“Y-You are so weird…”
Emu softly laughs, “That wasn't a stop~”
In the background, the vocaloids singers are watching the Emunene scene
“I really enjoyed the idea of balloons, Meiko. It definitely made her had to go through on her mini adventure”, Kaito talked
Miku interrupted, “Yes! Yes! It's like the story of Hansel and Gretel when they drop pieces of bread to not get lost!”
Meiko left out a sigh, “It wasn't that as the inspiration, but go you, Miku”
“zzzzz. oh? is she here already?”, the sleeping beauty woke up. She was… sleeping while standing up. Which is impressive to say the least
“Luka! Nene just got here two minutes ago! You shouldn't had slept! What if you slept on her birthday?”
“*Yawn* Sorry, I just had an amazing dream about the troupe. About how they celebrate Nene's birthday more in the future. But… Now that i’m thinking about it again, i’m starting to get sleepy…”
“Hey! Don't sleep-”
“zzzzz”, she is currently sleeping
“Luka!”
Back to Nene, she is now break free of the greatest moment she ever were. But now she was thinking about something that mildly confuse her. “By the way, why is there a giant cake here?”
“Ahh, you mean the cake. It is the all and brand new NeneCake!! …Trademark”
“Why the hell does it have a trademark”, Nene grunted
“As Tsukasa said, this NeneCake is one of the biggest cake Emu has ever made-”
“EMU MADE IT?!”, Interrupted Nene. How could someone so small make something so big all on her own?!
“Hehehe! it's not only just me. Saki and Airi helped me all the way through”, that explains it. Although there is something else she is confused at
“But then, how did it get here?”
“With the help of our friends”, one of the plushies floats next to Rui. “We carefully dragged it here where it has enough space to have a large table”
Table? Upon arriving, it was nothing but the huge cake. Not any table around. “Table? What table-”, she turns around and just now sees a huge table with a lot of chairs. Seriously how is things appearing out of nowhere?! “...You know what, I'm not even gonna question it”, Nene reluctantly gives up
“What is it, Nene?”
“N-No… Nothing”
“Well, the cake isn't gonna eat itself! Nene, here! Have a slice!”, Tsukasa grabs a plate with cake and a tiny spoon and gives it to Nene
Nene happily takes it, “Thank you, Tsukasa”, then she sat on her chair
“OOOH OHH! Me too! Me too!”
Emu waved her two arms to Tsukasa. Like he couldn't see or something
“Alright, Emu. You get two slices”, he gives it to Emu
“Yay!”, Emu grabbed her two plates of sliced cake and went to sit along side Nene. Upon sitting, Emu eats her slice faster than the speed of sound. While Nene enjoys her cake peacefully. Emu then prepared a scoop on her other cake and slowly gets it close to Nene's mouth. “Nene! Say ahhh”
“Emu. I already have one. I don't need more”
“But I want to feed the birthday girl… can I not?”, Nene could have said no. Although her words made her a bit guilty to say it. But, Emu gave her a sad puppy stare. So irresistible. Of course, she couldn't say no to that
A little embarrassing. Nene faint blushes
“Urk… A-Alright. Fine... Go ahead…”, Nene closed her eyes and let her mouth open. After a bit (and a noticeable squeal can be heard after), it went through her mouth. It's the same cake of course. She ate some of it when she was sitting alone but a least Nene wants Emu to hear her words out. “Mmh. It taste very good”
Emu’s smile can be seen shining from afar. “Hehe. I'm glad you like it. It took me a lot of time making it. Just for you”
“I appreciate that you made it, Emu. Thank you”, then she remembered something. She holds her bag to Emu. “Also, I got you a gift. Here, Taiyakis”
“Woahwoahwaoh!! Thank you Nene!!! I love you!!”, Emu gives Nene the biggest and tightest bear hug ever
“E-Emu! T-Too t-tight!”
“Oops sorry!”, Emu lets go of Nene. “I was too overexcited. I always get this excited when you give me your love”
“That is oka-. L-L-Love?”, Nene blushes while getting grabbed by Emu on her hands
“Yeah, cause I love you Nene! And I'm never gonna leave your side! After all, this is like fate for us. Together, just the two of us, can get through anything!!”
Nene couldn't help but to look at her… friend. So colorful, cute and energetic. If she didn't met her before, would things be different now? That is a huge probably. But, she is glad to meet her in this time period. Nene softly laughs while the other girl looks at Nene and being confused.
“You’re right. You have my side and I have yours. Deal?”, Emu nods a bunch on times. And it made Nene smile. “I'm just happy that you're happy being with me”, Nene gets closer to Emu, surprising the latter. “Thank you for coming on my birthday. Being with you means a lot to me and you coming here, it brightens my day. This is my other thank you”
Nene kissed Emu on her cheeks. Just a peck. A kiss of pure appreciation. Nothing more
What Nene did not know is how Emu would react to this. Emu slams the table and screamed. “NOW I'M POWDERED UP. HHAAY-YAAAAA!”, Emu picked up Nene. Princess carry style
“E-E-EMU?!!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! PUT ME DOWN!!!”, Nene resisted but it was too late. Nothing can change Emu's mind
“I'LL CARRY MY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS TO THE SUNRISE!!”, Emu went running while carrying Nene to somewhere else in the Sekai
“EMUU!!!”
“What are they even doing?”, sighed Len. With Rin and Tsukasa along side him
“Ooh you know, Emu being Emu. Emu always gets out of hand when it comes to stuff like this...”, grunted Tsukasa
“Yeah!! I'll be cheering you Emu!!”, waved Rin to the two new couples
"Hahahha, guess someone stole the birthday girl from us", laughed Rui. "Hehe~ how time flies. Tsukasa, try to save up cake for both Nene and Emu"
"Huh? Why is that?", questioned Tsukasa
"They might take a while to come back"
"Alright then. Rui, let's eat cake. Or I'll eat yours if you take too long", Tsukasa runs to get a slice of cake
Guess there is no time to leave the party early. "Okay. I'm coming!"
