"Somewhere out in the middle of the ocean lies an island, & on it live many creatures and beasts, not just on shore, but in the waters as well… each more dangerous than the last, so much so that somehow a barrier was created, this magic dome that burst forth into existence became the Invisible Guardian between Our world and Theirs; the Island of Mewni!" Looking at his 6th grade class Marco Diaz (age 12) continues with his presentation on “The History of My Ancestors”, which includes “The Brief History of Mewni”…
"This fact stood until one day a boat crashed near the Island of Mewni, somehow/someway the one and only passenger of the boat managed to get swept up in the currents nearby, & was washed ashore… this was the spark that started the relationship between Humanity and Mew-manity; the humanoid beings whom dwell upon the Island of Mewni called themselves Mew-mans, and the differences between us humans and them didn't seem too vast at first: 10 fingers versus 8, the inability/denial of magic versus the never ending everyday application of it, & overall diet… that is until you look at Puberty versus Mew-berty, though we need not be going into those particular details…" (ahem) "…& the fact that Mew-manity doesn't just mean Mew-mans, it includes all other humanoid-ish and or humanoid-like people of the Island of Mewni: for example Mewni Demons, & other monsters of various breeds and species."
Marco took a breather for a few seconds to double check that his classmates were still paying attention and quickly continued "On further down the road with the relationship between Humanity and Mew-manity, despite the many physical differences, there came a hybrid… Half-Mewmans; Humans with 8 fingers & the ability to wield magic, or Mew-mans with uncomplicated puberty… & soon came a distinction between 2 different kinds of Half-Mewmans: Hybrid vs Purebreds; when a Human & a Mew-man decides to have a child together, regardless of which one is the female or male, regardless of if both are males or females, the out come is a Hybrid, & when two Hybrids decide to have a child they will make a Purebred, furthermore if a Hybrid and a Purebred have a kid they too will make a Purebred, additionally if two Purebreds have a kid they to will be a (Second Generation) Purebred… any questions so far?" Marco genuinely asks, a pause, there are no takers… so he waits a few more short minutes, & practically plows right back into the lecture-like presentation…
"Well then I'll get straight to the point of my presentation: My Family Tree / My Lineage; as you may or may not know, I am a Purebred Half-Mewman… just like Both my Parents, however Both of my Father's Parents are Hybrid Half-Mewmans, but on my Mother's side her Father is a Purebred while her Mother is a Hybrid… meaning I have one Purebred and three Hybrid Grandparents, Furthermore my Grandfather on my Father's side had a Human Father & a Mew-man Mother, while my Grandmother on my Father's side had a Mew-man Father & a Human Mother, Plus my Grandfather on my Mother's side had two Hybrids for Parents, while my Grandmother on my Mother's side had a Human Father & a Mew-man Mother just like my Father's Father and vice versa… meaning I had three Humans, three Mew-mans, & two Hybrids for Great-Grandparents… it need not be said that my Human & Mew-man Grandparents & Great-Grandparents each had two Human or two Mew-man Parents… But I said it anyway! …and as for my two Hybrid Great-Grandparents: My Great-Great-Grandpa through my Great-Grandpa through my Grandfather on my Father's side was a Human & my Great-Great-Grandma through my Great-Grandpa through my Grandfather on my Father's side was a Human, while my Great-Great-Grandpa through my Great-Grandma through my Grandfather on my Father's side was a Mew-man & my Great-Great-Grandma through my Great-Grandma through my Grandfather on my Father's side was a Human… Meaning I have eight Human and eight Mew-man Great-Great-Grandparents, additionally meaning I have sixteen Human & sixteen Mew-man Great-Great-Great-Grandparents, furthermore meaning that I have an even amount of each, Human & Mew-mans, on all sides continue back to infinity or the beginning or whenever…" Marco Diaz doesn't even slow down or stop as he turns to his classmates for the final time during all this, his speech speed beginning to get close to that of an auctioneer, he continues speaking "Yes I didn't have to elaborate all that about each and every specific ancestor, but I did it anyway, for the extra credit, and to burn time… Before The BELL!!!" In dramatic effect Marco Diaz turns on the balls of his feet, and points towards the clock on the wall, just as the bell rings, in surprise and amazement a few of the students clap and cheer, while others pack up quickly to run out of the class… It was a Friday, what did you expect?
Afterwards, the 6th Grade Literature & Languages teacher (whom I won't give a name, both cause I don't want to & because I don't have to… I mean seriously, they are only here for this 1 moment… nothing more…) gave Marco an A+ for his honest to goodness 110% great work!!!
Additionally, Marco graduated from Middle School with Honors, simply because he kept giving that 110%... Nay, more than that, it added up to giving 250%+ (mayhaps all the way to 1000%, though Marco would say it was an exaggeration)... All because he kept rehashing in a way that same presentation, in fact at one point he used that exact same said presentation for his 8th Grade World History class, except instead of saying “Yes I didn't have to elaborate all that about each and every specific ancestor, but I did it anyway, for the extra credit, and to burn time… Before The BELL!!!” At the end, he said "Additionally, those said Mew-mans were guards to The Mew-man Royal Family… & now so am I, for if anyone from the said Mew-man Royal Family came here to our general living location we would be obliged to protect them and/or care for them, whomever or whatever they may be! … & with that it is Time For The BELL!!!" same dramatics & all, but it was a Monday, so no cheering, just acceptable clapping & quick paced packing of backpacks, in order to respectfully walk out the classroom door, through the halls, and out of the school… Then run all the way home, or the similar thereof!!!
That particular afternoon, arriving home, Marco’s parents were waiting for him out front, this worried Marco, but he decided to keep optimistic; turns out The Royal Mew-man Family were sending their daughter, the heir Princess, off to the Human world to study at her request, and their family The Diaz's were asked out of many other descendants of Mew-man Royal Guards around the world, if they would be willing and capable of hosting her… they were 1 of 3 families that offered saying they would be willing/honored or something along those lines, and out off those 3, Princess Star Butterfly herself picked them! Marco, understandably, had mixed feelings about this… but, his parents had been talking with him about opening up their home to the exchange student program, so… this wasn’t entirely outside of the plan, and technically his parents had already agreed to it, it would be rude to back out now… So, Marco agreed, he would help further prepare the attic for a new addition to the Diaz abode.
Within a few weeks later, the Diaz Mom and Pop had another surprise: The Mewni Demon Royal Family asked if they’d be willing to take in one more; Princess Star’s best friend, Prince Thomas Draconius Lucitor… they said they would consider it, because they wanted to talk it out with Marco first, after all they kinda sprung the whole Royal Princess Exchange Student thing on him a bit… so this time they decided to carefully consider this as a Family, but the Diaz Parents had nothing to worry about; Marco thought it was fine: Princess Star would have someone familiar in an unfamiliar place, and the opportunity to learn about Mewni Demon culture was too good to pass up, so it was a Win-Win-Win situation! Thus began the fixing up of the basement, for the 2nd new addition to the Diaz abode… all in preparation of their arrival.
