Summary:

Barry comes home from work one day and a conversation with Wally could change their relationship forever.

Work Text:

When Barry comes home from work at night, he can't help but notice that something was immediately wrong with his house.
Hal's smell is all over their home and is quite territorial compared to how it usually is, however, his spouse is nowhere to be found on the top floor, which definitely lets him know that something had happened to one of their children.

Why else wouldn't Hal be downstairs and his scent will be marked so strongly?

So feeling fearful and anxious, he goes upstairs and looks into his youngest son's room first, noticing how Bart slept peacefully without noticing anything strange or different, so after that, Barry advances towards Wally's room, but it is empty.

So Barry sighs with a heavy heart before moving towards the room that his spouse and he shared.

He smiles when he sees Hal hugging Wally to his chest, while the boy also returns the gesture without moving.
Hal looks up as soon as he notices it and smiles at him.
Wally looks at Hal and turns to look in the direction of where Barry is.

Barry smiles at his son and spouse before moving forward.
When he sits on the edge of the bed, he stretches his hair and strokes the red hair of his son who looks at him feeling shy and self-conscious.
"Is everything okay?" Wally's green gaze begins to move throughout the room and his whole body tenses.Barry watches them silently, while his puppy looks at his other parent as if waiting for him to approve of his actions, when Hal strokes his cheek and nods, Wally seems to relax.

"Wally and I want to talk to you about something important," he comments and Barry does not hesitate to affirm immediately.

"What happened?" he asks confused.

The boy looks at him and with his hands squeezing his pajamas seems to be motivated to open his mouth.

"Today when I went to pick up Wally from his school, they told me that he hurt his arm and leg.” Barry's face is quickly showered in surprise and clumsily directs his hands to the boy's arms while he continues to crouch."Apparently, Wally had fallen, but... Wally told me that this had not happened.”

"What happened?" he asks, confused and scared.

Green eyes fill with tears before he looks him straight in the eye and with trembling lips she finally dares to speak.

"Some children pushed me," he reveals, frightened. “It's not the first time they've pushed, other times they've even thrown my food or said things to me.”

Barry feels his world immediately fall apart, shyly reaching out to his son's face and wiping the tears from his eyes with his thumb.

"What things did they say to you, Walls?" he asks sweetly, but Wally continues to shrink.

"That you didn't love me and that you had only adopted me out of pity and to be able to have my younger brother... That I was never going to be his son and that one day they were going to take me to the orphanage so that I could return to Rudy.”

Barry's heart ends up breaking at the revelation of his eldest son.

He shyly takes his cheeks and looks into his son's green eyes.

"Do you believe that?"

The boy shuns her gaze when Barry asks the question and is all the Omega needs to break.
He pulls Wally into his arms, presses him and cradles him to his chest as the two cry.

"My poor baby," Barry whispers, his heart broken and his voice breaking.
Wally clings to his body with a strength and pain that Barry as an adopted son can recognize more than well.

He comforts him, kisses his cheeks and hair while repeating over and over again that he loves him more than anything, how he would be willing to give his life as long as he is safe and happy.
He repeats over and over again how much he and Hal had longed for him since the first time they met him and Bart, and how with each day, their love for him only grew.

Wally cried with every word.

It was so rare to feel so loved and valued by a stranger.

His parents never loved him the way the Jordans loved him.
They didn't even manage to love him despite all the years he was by his side and they always told him that no one could love him, but now the Jordans were there, by his side hugging him, filling him with affection and crying because they hurt him.

Barry called him his puppy and filled him with his scent while his alpha, Hal, hugged them both and made them feel safe and loved with his scent.

Wally's heart softened so much that I can't help but cry more bitterly, really wishing he had been born to the Jordans.

Having Hal's freckles and moles, his brown hair, but Barry's curious blue eyes.

He would have loved to have his name be any other name they had chosen.
Even to be called Bartholomew or Harold would have been amazing.

He would have wanted to be born surrounded by hugs and not insults.
It would have been so nice not to have to worry about coming home to find their parents fighting or spending time in the room.

Wally really wanted to be the son of the Jordans.

Although he knew well that deep down in all this, he could never be the son of such good people and not like them, but Wally would believe his words and accept being the son they wanted.

He would be an obedient, responsible son and as intelligent as his parents.
He would make every action he did worthwhile and make them proud to have loved him.

Wally would believe in his love and return it much bigger and stronger than they had given it to him, it was the least he could do after everything the Jordans did for him day in and day out.
