Work Text:
“You wanna come with Yoshida? We’re going to the Arcade later today!”
“No thanks, I’m good!” Yoshida politely declined the offer as she put on her shoes, taking her school shoes and putting them in her smaller locker which she closed, taking her bag with her as she began walking out of the school entrance and now away from the school itself, the world seemingly taking on a slight orange color alongside the sky, signaling the sun’s start of its descent into the Earth.
Yoshida walks alone on the sidewalk, looking down in deep thinking, her face showing a confused and conflicted expression on many things, one of them especially.
Midoriya Izuku.
Deku.
She doesn’t know what to think about him.
The shy, quiet, small boy who doesn’t say or do anything besides the times he is asked a specific question by the teacher or asked to do something. It was hard to remember that he usually was there in the classroom with how small and quiet he was, seemingly not wanting to do anything and wanting to move on with his day.
Which makes sense with his…. Status.
The only kid with a Quirkless status in the entire school.
While she had seen kids with unremarkable quirks, such as passive quirks (such as her and her floating hair), she never quite believed she would ever witness a quirkless student in her life.
About 20% of the entire population of Earth consists of people who never had any powers, which, in a world that is dominantly full of people with powers, is quite unheard of and insane to think about.
…But that comes with issues. Mainly societal issues.
Because of the dying population of those with no quirks, it was very common for the people with powers to look down upon the powerless, thinking of inferior or nothing. The strong gain everything, while the weak lay on the floor, unable to achieve anything in a quirk-filled world.
For Yoshida Ayaka, it was… never a big deal to her.
She never cared about the status, especially for those with weak or no quirks, although surprising that they are still around, she never… paid any mind to it whatsoever.
However, this school, as well as Japan has an issue with quirks. Mainly for the lack of one and how they are treated.
It was very common for the quirkless to be treated harshly, or even worse (if the stories were true), and Deku was no such exception. It was practically impossible to go a day without Deku being harassed and bullied for something he didn’t have (something he couldn’t control.) The boy would always have bruises and injuries from “pranks,” to full-on assault from some of the more intense students… While most, if not everybody cheered cruelty at the sight of hurting the weird kid, she only looked ahead, only upset and hesitant at seeing it. How everybody just, drops everything and appears more… horrid and even evil because of the sight of seeing the quirkless kid being kicked while he was already on the floor.
But she never spoke up, never did anything to stop. She just stood there and watched, or pretended like it wasn’t an issue. She even laughed, because it seemed like a normal thing to do, to pick on the outlier just for being… unusual.
It… made her feel sick when she thinks about it. How her friends just enjoy mocking and insulting somebody who couldn’t do a thing about it. She wasn’t pure herself either, she had to pretend along with the others, laugh at things, or ignore the pleas and cries for help from the boy as he was on the floor, defenseless. Called slurs.
Despite the day being warm, her thoughts brought a shiver across her entire body.
It only made her more upset, knowing that she could stop it, or try to.
But just didn’t, because she wanted to be safe from the bullying and didn’t want to be a loner like him… who wasn’t safe AND was bullied every single day.
‘Heroes? Yeah right…’
She never wanted to be one anyway, she had the brain cells to know that she just wasn’t cut out for it. Her quirk wouldn’t be that helpful in any kind of heroics. She did want to be a barber, it always made her feel better whenever she did her hair, looking as she could at what she had, many of her friends did like the hairstyles she picked for them
Just then, seemingly, the soft groan coming out of the alleyway that she might as well be very loud, with the lack of any activity outside beside her footsteps and wind softly blowing. Her head turned at the alleyway, curious as to what would be inside the alleyway…
…but that quickly turned into who once she saw dark green fluffy hair, as she looked down, she saw a very familiar set of diamond freckles on each of his cheeks, his usually open and big emerald eyes now shut as the boy in front of him had a grimaced face, holding onto his chest groaning in what seemed to be in pain. He looked like a mess, with dark spots on his uniform and a bad bruise on his cheek as well as dirt littered on his uniform and face.
It seemed like the universe was out to get her as the same boy she was just having a thought with, was now on the ground, bruised from what seemed to be yet another encounter with “Top Star” student, Katsuki Bakugou.
Bakugou… he might as well be a god to everybody, but, with his strong Explosion quirk and his angry, dog-water personality, it wasn’t long until he was considered as the top dog of the whole school. People adored him for his quirk, among other things like his smarts but most of his praise just seems to be towards his quirk.
…She didn’t like Bakugou that much, never mind the fact that he was the prime example of everything wrong in this school, and the prime source of bullying of the boy on the ground in front of her. But with his arrogant and horrid personality, which could only be backed up by everyone and everything worshipping the ground he walks on, it’s no wonder he had such a massive head.
Ragged breaths took her out of her thoughts, the boy still withering away on the ground.
‘…I can’t… just leave him like this right?’
It would be very easy; he doesn’t seem to notice her right now. She could just leave right now and not deal with any of this, and continue with her day… continue with the year pretending to laugh along with every single insult thrown at him, every single prank and assault… She could be safe.
‘The same thing is going to happen again… and again… he… doesn’t have any friends right, if I remember right, all he has is his mom…’
Suddenly her stomach rolled around inside of her, making her feel unwell at the thought.
‘Am I going to keep acting like this? Act like a coward…? Just because I’m too scared to be hurt. He has to take all of it for basically his entire high school life…’
‘Maybe… maybe she could…’
‘It hurts…’
‘It hurts so much…’
Izuku could only hold onto himself, each breath he took just adding to the pain.
Kacchan… was much more brutal than usual, he doesn’t even know what he did…
Oh wait… that’s right.
We were supposed to have our handout about what our future would be, and what schools we’ll be going to.
Kacchan seems to know him well enough… and pretty much everybody else, with how he had just taken him away for a… ‘lesson’ he wanted to call it, which was just more or less a threat not to go to UA.
It hurt, how everybody just can’t seem to think he has what it takes… it wouldn’t hurt to just try his best, right?
The thought of it almost made him chuckle.
He has no quirk, he hasn’t trained for UA, and he can’t defend himself, what can he do...? A quirkless nobody.
Still, even if he can’t do anything meaningful, he won’t stop. He isn’t going to stop.
‘Got to keep my hea- ‘“Are you hurt?”
His thoughts were interrupted when a voice came out of nowhere, plus footsteps coming towards him.
He briefly panics as he turns to see who is coming, already trying to get up to his feet to get away, even though everything screams at him in pain.
“No, don’t! Please, I know you can’t move without hurting.” The concerned voice, a female one he hears, got close enough to hold him firm, yet softly as well.
His fast heart rate began to slow down upon hearing her words, and her seemingly friendly touch as he looked at her, really looked at her.
A girl with pale blue floating hair looked at him with a concerned look at his face. It didn’t take long for Midoriya to know who.
“Wait… Yoshida-chan…? Right...? What are you… doing here…?” Midoriya couldn’t talk very well, the pain making it difficult to as he was brought back down by the girl gently as she went into her bag to find something.
“That’s me, don’t do anything, I’m getting some things out, alright?” Yoshida kept looking for her first-aid kit in her bag that she kept with her ever since she was accidentally hurt one day at school, a couple of cuts on her arm due to some recklessness from a couple of students in arts and crafts involving their quirks, and some scissors.
She couldn’t be distracted as she took it out with a small smile as she looked up.
Only to meet with the boy’s hesitant look which killed her smile, seemingly prepared for something else that only made her grit her teeth.
‘Ah, right. Of course, he wouldn’t trust me. The one person in the school that was his torture, with no support or help, and just seemingly giving him help now?’
“W-who are you with…? Is this from Kacchan…?” Her heart clenched slightly; at the thought this was another prank that she was doing.
“N-no… No! I only… I just saw…” It was hard to explain herself, mostly from her nerves as well as her anger.
“I just saw you on the ground, probably done with… Bakugou and I figured I could…” She tried to give her best explanation because it would be so weird to see somebody helping the quirkless kid in school, even though they were out of school.
“Why?” Yet another direct hit to her heart.
Why?
Why is she doing all of this?
It left her speechless, unable to directly answer him for a few seconds before finding his voice.
“I… I couldn’t just leave you like this… I… just thought you would…”
It seemed to have worked as the boy’s face softened in understanding. “Ah. You just want to help…?” He sounded so confused.
“Yes! Yes. I just… want to help your bruises. You look like you took a real beating.” She blushed in embarrassment, unsure why she was tripping on her words.
“You don’t have to, you know. I can take ca- “and I’m here to help you, just… please?” She interrupted her refusal with her words and her expression of assurance, truly wanting to help the boy out.
She had won with how the boy suddenly blushed at her expression before nodding with a breath. “Okay. Sure… thank you…”
She only nodded as she didn’t waste any more time helping the boy as she began with his face.
She sighed sadly, “God… he… I… he seemed so much more mad than usual with you… taking you out of the middle of class like that…”
His chuckle sounded very empty when it went into her ears. “W-Well… He did seem very persistent with me going to…” He didn’t seem to finish what he was saying, but both knew why.
For the “Top Dog” of Aldera, it wouldn’t be any less fitting for him to go to the number one Hero School, UA. With only a very small acceptance rate, it seemed like it was the most logical step for the “future number one hero.”
Of course, it seemed like Bakugou was smart enough to know that Midoriya would be gunning for UA too… and ‘probably’ had a problem with it.
‘Anything Deku does… Bakugou always tries to make it a problem… even when he does nothing…’ The thought of it made her pensive, seemingly more upset.
‘God, why now? Why did it take me this long to do something?’ She couldn’t even suffer in her guilt as she tried to fix up the boy, now applying a big bandage to his cheek, as well as wiping any dirt he had on him as she checked for any more injuries that she could see on the outside before moving on to his chest, to which she hesitated as she looked up to the boy’s face for permission.
He looked back at her with a pensive look, before slowly and hesitantly nodding.
She nodded with a quiet apology as she unbuttoned his uniform…
Suddenly the lunch in her threatened to come out of her mouth at the sight of what she was seeing.
His… his chest was just…
If it wasn’t bad enough that his skinny body was frail from not properly taking care of herself, seeing the burns on his skin, with almost star-like patterns, just made it so much worse.
Some of them seemed… old.
She forced herself to shut her eyes tight as she calmed herself down.
God.
“Um… a-are… Are you okay…? I know it’s… not a pretty sight to look at.” His voice made her realize what was her goal as she turned to see the boy’s concerned look on his face towards him.
‘Yeah, of course, he would be worried about me, he… he had these scars and injuries for probably before high school, and not to mention being too busy getting beat up by Bakugou and many other people, and he would look after other people then himself. Even when he’s busy getting hurt for just living, he just continues to keep going, no matter what and how. God, you’re such a fucking coward.’ A dark part of her mocks her, just feeling slightly silly for wanting to be safe from the bullying when he had to suffer much more than what she could probably face.
But she had to be strong. She couldn’t back out now.
She shakes his head with a small smile, trying to hide the guilt of eating her out. “No. I’m fine, just… just wasn’t expecting this, I can handle it though. Just… how long…?”
He looked unsure, probably not wanting to answer her question, which was fair, she was just a stranger with their first-ever interaction, what could he, or more like should say, to somebody he never talked to, somebody who had also been part of the problem, directly or not.
“No. No, it’s okay, you don’t need to tell me. I understand.” She does, it must be hard to even interact with anybody else normally when you’ve been taught to survive for your lack of ability.
She began to work, deciding to ignore any old injuries he had before, and went for the new, more recent ones with some cream, for the burns, and some bandages to help amend the pain.
She hoped this would help him, she didn’t have much to deal with so…
As the duo stood there in silence, the boy had his injuries treated by the girl.
“Thank you.” He spoke up, looking at the girl, who looked up surprised at him suddenly talking.
She was met with a genuine, blinding smile of his, tears threatening to come out of his eyes, seemingly just happy to have somebody give out their hand and help this poor boy from the hellhole that was his life.
Tears also came up in her eyes, mainly guilt, being the main source, but there was also some happiness, she was sure she made the right choice not to leave this time.
“I... Of course.”
Somehow, it didn’t take long to take care of him, after his chest, she checked on his back, thankfully it didn’t suffer as many injuries as his chest did. Once she was done and packed her kit, she took it on her shoulder and went up to the boy.
“You need help getting up De- Midoriya-kun?” The sudden change from Deku to Midoriya brought a surprise to the green-haired boy, looking up.
“I… figured it would be better if I stopped calling you that name… if… that’s fine with you.”
He just seemed floored at the fact somebody was treating him with actual respect, which only made her heart hurt. Knowing how the quirkless are usually treated with.
“I’m… fine, I can… move, and thank you, I... would like that.” As he said, he could, although he would let out some grunts in pain, but is otherwise can do as he said as they both start leaving the alleyway.
Midoriya looked up at the sky, the blue sky had almost been gone and replaced with an orange sky, signaling the amount of time it had taken.
“Oh man… Has it’s been that long? Mom must be worried about me… I should give her a call.” He said, wasting no more time taking her phone out as Yoshida looked ahead at him, smiling a bit at the boy.
“You care about her.” She said, stating the obvious as the boy looked back with a shy look, yet smiled.
“W-well… yeah she’s… my mom, I love her a lot, she worries a lot about me, I feel so bad…” He looked down sad.
Her eyebrows furrowed at that. “Does… does she not know what’s happening to you?”
Just before he could call his mom, Midoriya froze at the question, unsure what to answer.
“I…”
Each passing second made the hole in her stomach grow.
“I… Midoriya-kun…”
“Look, I just… I know, but… I just… I just didn’t want her to worry, okay? She’s already dealing with a lot with me and…”
Hearing him doubt himself made something come up... as she glared at him. “Midoriya, I don’t know a lot about you, but I think it’s safe to say that she does care about you a lot… I… know I shouldn’t be saying this, but I think it would be better if you did tell her, I know she would love that…”
Her words made him go into deep thinking, clearly not wanting to do this but couldn’t deny her words.
It only took him a couple of seconds before he spoke up. “I’ll… think about it. Not now, alright…?”
She could only nod. “As long as you tell her eventually… she worries about you.”
He nods as he begins calling her as they both walk. “I know.”
Soon enough, even though it wasn’t on speaker, she could hear his mom crying for Midoriya as the boy tried to calm his mother down, with how late he was, and worried about where he could be and what happened to him.
She only stared ahead, softly smiling at him.
‘They are pretty alike, they get emotional pretty easily.’
“Uh! Hi Mom, Yeah look… I’m sorry… Yeah I know, I’m fine! I just… had an accident… Yeah don’t worry everything’s fine I’m just with a friend…”
The last word that came out of his mouth froze her.
Friend?
Her?
It’s very obvious that he’s just lying to his mom to not worry so much about him (which she didn’t like at all) but…
‘I just did something that any normal, sane person would… should have done for him. Just because he just… deserves it. But it won’t mean anything at all with the years I spent ignoring him…’
She did one good thing for him, but that doesn’t make them friends…
Maybe… it doesn’t have to be just this once.
During her realization, Midoriya seemed to be able to calm down her mother and assured her that he was coming home if the smile on his face meant anything.
Just then, he hung up on his mom with a “I love you,” which she has to admit was pretty sweet to hear.
“Sorry about that… mom can be pretty emotional…” Midoriya apologized to Yoshida with an embarrassed look on his face, looking away to hide his blush.
She chuckled, smiling at Midoriya. “It’s fine, I get it. You have a great mom, Midoriya-kun.”
He nods, looking back slightly with a smile of his own. “Yeah… she is.”
From there, silence surrounded them both, but it wasn’t awkward or tense… it was nice. Just being able to just walk while the sun was setting with Midoriya was just… calming.
It wasn’t long before Yoshida broke the silence. “Say… so you told your mom we were… friends…?”
Midoriya seemed to take it differently as he began to panic. “W-what? N-no! It’s okay, I was just… lying.. or I mean… she doesn’t… we don’t have to be friends if you want to, you did so much for me… I can’t thank you enough!”
She smiled sadly at the boy’s panic, finding it both adorable and heart-wrenching.
“Hey, it’s okay, I’m not mad. Really. I… would…” Her smile disappears as guilt comes back to her.
“I don’t think I deserve to call you a friend.” Midoriya looked back in some confusion.
“I… I mean, nobody did anything to help you… we—I never did anything at all and either just looked away as you got beaten by a pulp from the others or joined in, making fun of you. What… you must go through is horrible… and you shouldn’t! Nobody should go through what you did, you don’t deserve it especially!” Tears began to come down across her tears as she ranted about his unfair treatment.
Midoriya only looked at her with concerned eyes, the both of them stopping their walk as Yoshida cried. “Yoshida-chan…”
“It’s… so stupid, everything is! You're just… doing your best, it’s horrible… seeing that you have to keep going through the pain every single day while nobody does anything to help you! Just because you don’t have a quirk. That’s so bullshit!” She spat out, hate and frustration in her tone, alongside her guilt.
“What’s even worse is that I did nothing about it! I didn’t protect you; I didn’t sit next to you at lunch or help you at all! Not even talking a little bit to you! Because I was too afraid to get hurt by everybody else… I just… I hate this… so much, I’m… such a stupid coward…”
Midoriya only looks on, sad that Yoshida ranted about the school and its toxic environment.
It’s… unreal, to see somebody that is very deeply into the problems of the school and how much… everything just sucks, even more so since this girl IS part of the school!
But… honestly…
He never hated her for it.
“Yoshida-chan… can I talk to you about it…?”
The girl stopped her crying as she looked up, currently in the middle of wiping her tears away from her cheeks, confused about what he had to say.
“I… it hurts. It hurts a lot to have to do everything by myself, having to endure it alone with nobody to help me, even if Mom knew, I don’t know if she can make it go away… I… it’s bad… it’s really bad but…”
He let out a deep breath as he stared at her eyes determined, hard but not unkind.
“I don’t hate you.”
Yoshida let out a soft “Huh...?” as she looked confused, why did he not hate her?
“I know Kacchan… for a long time, I think you guys know this, but he usually has everything on his finger for just having a great quirk and having everything. But I know that some people don’t fight him because it’s… just not worth it and they don’t wanna get hurt. He’s pretty scary so… I don’t blame you for fearing him, it is just easier to be on his side than be on mine, the quirkless kid.
“But…” Before she could say anything else, Midoriya went up to her, taking her shoulders as he stared deeply with a determined look.
“I get it. He’s dangerous, he easily could hurt me as well as you guys, I know that some of you don’t do much besides stare because you can’t do anything about it. I… don’t hate you or anyone for that. Really.”
“But I could have done something!” Yoshida’s anger came back as she glared back, more so angry at herself than at Midoriya.
“You did.”
Just like that, her anger disappeared, and her tears stopped forming as she looked at him shocked.
“You… you saw me beat up on the floor, you could have done nothing and walked away, it wasn’t any of your business. But you didn’t. You helped me and nursed me as much as you could. You knew that you couldn’t have. Even though it probably told you to leave, you didn’t, and that matters a lot. It matters to me. Knowing there is somebody who doesn’t like how things are going in the school, and that there are people who genuinely want to do something about it, and that’s what you were doing. You were doing something by helping me just now. You didn’t have to, but you did. You did a lot more than you realize. A lot more than what most people would have done. You wouldn’t have healed me if you were that upset about this, probably could have just helped me get back home… but you didn’t. I just… couldn’t thank you enough, it may not be much, but it was more than enough for me.” Midoriya didn’t let anything in, and spoke his mind, making sure Yoshida understood what she did and why it was good.
“It’s okay to be guilty, it’s okay to feel horrible about something you did wrong, what you do with it is what’s important, and what you did is help somebody who needed help. Even if it could’ve been a lot earlier, that’s still a big deal. So please, don’t hurt yourself like this Yoshida-chan…” Midoriya attempted to comfort her with a small, warm smile, to try to stop her from crying more.
Yoshida could only stare there in shock, genuinely in disbelief that his boy could be so forgiving and nice to his own…
Although it only made her cry again, it was like some part of her guilt disappeared, it was still there but Midoriya’s speech helped her take away some of it, she could only look at him with newfound respect and admiration, to be able to still keep his head up and give his hand out even after suffering a couple year’s worth of abuse…
‘Midoriya… you never had a quirk but… to be able carry on… it’s so… your so strong and… cool…’ She could a small amount of blushing on her cheeks as she went up and hugged Midoriya, wrapping her arms around the boy as her face moved into his neck.
The boy, with no amount of experience with girls, went nuclear upon touch.
“Y-Yoshida?!!?! What are you…?!?!” He was blushing up a storm, although it can be justified, he did see her as cute…
‘A cute girl is hugging mee?!?!?’ He had managed to forget about his speech as the girl hugged him tightly.
But soon, the blushing left (not all of it, just some of it), and once he calmed down, he looked down at her, still hugging him, he looked away a bit, embarrassed to be doing this in public, but he wouldn’t move away.
He wrapped his arms around her, certain to be careful not to touch her inappropriately as he took the whole thing in.
The two stood there, alone, as the world around them darkened, not seemingly caring about anything else but themselves, holding each other tight. The both of them blushed from the hug.
“Your… so cool Midoriya…” She muttered as she kept the hug for a bit longer. Midoriya casually reacts to this with a redder blush.
They can wait… right?
It was almost dark out, and they had to stop eventually, so during the clear… yet kind of awkward walk from that hug (they hugged for some time now), they finally made it to Midoriya’s home, where Midoriya got to his floor as he looked back to Yoshida.
“I appreciate you coming with me… Are you sure you’ll be fine by yourself? I can walk you home if you like.”
Yoshida, still blushing a bit, chuckled and gave Midoriya a small smile, “It’s fine Midoriya… trust me. I know where my home is, I can walk by myself…. Mom’s probably going to be a bit worried though.”
Although Midoriya wouldn’t say anything, he’ll admit that her smile made his heart jump a bit, alongside his blushing being brighter. “R-Right! Yes… your right… I’ll… I guess I’ll go in now…”
“Wait, Midoriya!”
He turned back with a confused expression and then saw Yoshida with her phone out, looking away with a blush of their own.
“Huh….?” Midoriya looked down at her phone and then at her.
“I… figured we could… get in touch and… talk more often, you were… great company and I figured you wanted to… keep… talking with me…” Saying it out loud made her blush worse, and so did Midoriya’s.
“A-ah… sure thing…!” It wouldn’t take long for them to take each other’s numbers and add them to their contacts.
“Thanks…” Midoriya looked down at his phone, seeing Yoshida’s number with an embarrassed look.
“No problem…” Yoshida also looked down at her phone to see Midoriya’s phone with an embarrassed look as well.
The two stood there by themselves for a few seconds in silence before Yoshida spoke up. “I think I gotta go… see you tomorrow Midoriya…” She said with a nod as she began walking away, Midoriya looking behind her.
“Y-yeah! See you tomorrow!” Yoshida looked back at Midoriya, and they stared at each other’s eyes once again, before Yoshida gave him a happy smile before going back and walking away, Midoriya only watched her figure slowly become smaller and smaller before disappearing altogether from the dark.
Midoriya took a deep breath as he looked down at his phone…
‘Oh my god….’ The realization brought Midoriya’s eyes wide and her face bright red as a cherry.
‘I GOT A GIRL’S NUMBER THAT ISN’T MY MOM’S!!!!’
Yoshida finally came back home as she was jumped by her parents, both of them crying over how afraid she was of coming home on time.
After finally getting away from her (kinda overprotective) parents, she finally went upstairs and into her room as she waited for dinner to be served while she lay on her bed, exhausted after a long and emotional day.
Her mind went through the entire day, mainly the entire time she was with Midoriya.
…
The thought of his speech and the hug brought her blush back roaring as she covered her head with her pillow, embarrassed
‘OH MY GODDDDDD WHAT WAS I DOING?!?!?!’
She dumped her feelings to the guy who was suffering from their school, what was she thinking?!
And he came up and made her feel better and looked cool while doing so!
‘Are we SURE this is the same guy who’s usually so small that an atom looks bigger?!?!’ Suddenly all those girl talks with other girls about Midoriya did not seem so accurate… he can be cool when he can!
Suddenly, her phone let out a sound and vibrated which helped her get out of her thoughts, as she looked on her phone to see what it was.
!!
It was from Midoriya!
Suddenly all of the exhaustion had gone away as she stood up and became very attentive as she checked his message.
While her profile picture was that of the simple blue spiral of her hair (she felt very proud when she made it), Midoriya’s was that of a green bunny, eating what seems to be a bowl of Katsudon.
Suddenly her thoughts had compared both Midoriya to the bunny…
‘Oh my god, it fits.’
Before she could go insane over the thoughts that were coming into her head, she had to read Midoriya’s message!
GreenBean: Hello? This is Midoriya, I wanted to say thank you for what you did! I appreciate it!
Yoshida looked upon his message, seemingly unsure what to put down before just going with the gut.
BlueHairFloat: This is Yoshida, and I’m happy Midoriya. You're welcome, I want to help you more from here on out.
She stared at it, seemingly waiting for Midoriya to reply when she saw his text bubbles appear and disappear multiple times.
GreenBean: Same here! I think we’ll be good friends together!
Friends…
Yoshida blushed at the thought of it, being friends with Midoriya…
BlueHairFloat: Yeah… I would love to.
She puts her phone away as she just looks up at the ceiling, lying back down on her bed, with nothing in mind.
She… did it. She managed to do something.
She took a deep breath and let out a smile.
Maybe… things will be better.
She doesn’t know if her friends were her friends, she never really talked to them much, not comfortable with anybody in Aldera but wasn’t very rude to them.
Midoriya, though? She felt more than comfortable…
Maybe it isn’t going to be a one-time thing. With the look of things, maybe she’ll get to hang out with Midoriya more… being the one thing she’s sure he would want besides being a hero.
A friend.
