It was just another day for Eugene, the only difference was that this had been his day off so he could spend some more time with his wonderful boyfriend Luke. And after relaxing all day he was ready to catch up on too much missed sleep.

River and Charlie had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to prank Eugene so, as ghosts do, they waited until sometime around 2 am then put their plan into action.
“I'M A GHOST!” River yelled right beside Eugene's sleeping face
“NOW YOU SEE ME NOW YOU DON'T!” Charlie yelled right beside him. The two very effectively woke him up. They saw what a bad idea it was as soon as they saw his eyes shoot open.

Eugene was in deep slumber until he got jolted awake by… singing? He heard it again and yeah that was definitely a song, and was that Charlie? What the hell? he heard River next. What song were they singing…and why were they in his room??? His eyes shoot open and he sees two, very surprised, very guilty looking ghosts.
“Why are you two here?” He asks calmly but pissed.
“Ummm” “We Uuhhh” they say at the same time, looking at each other with wide eyes, completely lost on what to say. They hadn't planned this far ahead.
“We were bored…” Charlie eventually guiltily admits
“Do I have to call Joan to come get you?” He looks both of them in the eyes, now sitting up.
“Noooooooo” they say together
“Then get out so I can sleep”
“Fineeeeeee”
They disappear and Eugene eventually falls back asleep but little did he know that they were still there. Not for nefarious reasons but because they felt bad about bothering him on his day off to be with his boyfriend. He had sweet dreams the rest of the night.
