Work Text:
Two years ago, Seungcheol and Jihoon had just gone back to work again, after two years fully dedicating themselves to take care of newborn Chan. The only income they had back then was from their savings or freelancing and it wasn't that much either.
Seungcheol sent his CV anywhere he could that fits his previous work, Jihoon who continuously promotes himself as a Personal trainer specifically for Omega to get clients because his previous clients have found other PT that they're comfortable with.
Six months after working hard to find a job and clients, they’re finally starting again, slowly but surely getting back to their work routine. They thought it would be hard with two kids at home, but they’re sweet kids who understand their parents well.
In the morning, Jihoon will be the one to take Hansol to the school, sometimes he goes grocery shopping with little Channie snuggled in his arms or just at home cooking and cleaning the house. At two o’clock he will pick Hansol up from the school and took the both of them to either Seungcheol’s or Jihoon’s parent (whoever is free enough to help them) The funny thing is there's a day where both of grandparents would argue because they're all free, it ended up with little Channie in Jihoon’s parents house and Hansol in Seungcheol’s parents house or vice versa.
After getting them to their grandparents’ house, Jihoon will go to the gym to work then, maintaining his body and also working as a PT for his omega clients. He’s well loved by them, sometimes they’d bring a gift for Hansol and Chan or even just for him. They're so grateful for Jihoon, especially when it's still rare to find a PT specifically for omega– most people would still mock at omega who’s working out at the gym, saying they're doing it to seduce the alphas in the gym when it's clearly not. Even beta or another omega would silently judge them, thinking it's useless for them to workouts that hard because it would take too long for their body to bulk, but Jihoon always reassures them, it's not always about muscle or looks but the most important thing is to maintain or improve their health.
Seungcheol is a chef at a hotel near his parents’ place. If back then he didn't quit from his previous place, he would be a head chef already by now (probably). His previous head chef judged him a lot back then, they're questioning as to why he would quit just because he got a new pup? Didn't he got an omega to take care of the new pup? Woah, he almost made a scene because of that word but he held himself just so he wouldn't be in jail when his pup was born later.
The head chef in his new workplace is very kind, so different from his previous one. She always makes sure everyone’s working that day gets all the feedback they deserve, letting them take some days off for their family easily, never judging anybody’s second gender even when she’s a dominant alpha– yeah, there's still a lot of dominant alpha who love to look down on others so much just because they're the top one in the hierarchy, Seungcheol despises those kind of people a lot. She also owns a healthy catering for kids, she actually offered Seungcheol to join her next year, she planned to resign and focused on her business, Seungcheol is definitely considering it, especially if he gets to cook for childrens, he’d really enjoy it.
Seungcheol is the one who picks up the kids, since Jihoon would work till night a lot. Sometimes Jihoon already prepared dinner for them, sometimes Seungcheol would cook or bring some food from the hotel. When he’s just too tired from cooking, he’d just take them to eat outside. After dinner, he’d let little Channie play with his toys while accompanying Hansol to study or watch some movies till they’re tired. Minghao would often join them too if his parents were busy at work.
Most of their weekends are spent at home, chatting or playing with each other. If the kids start to get bored, they will take them to the park near their house or Minghao’s house to play. It’s been like that for a while, they haven't taken that much day off unless it's for their heat or rut, which means even if they take the day off it's not to spend with their kids outside of the house. Seungcheol and Jihoon could tell their kids are getting bored of that routine, but it seems they don't want to disturb their busy parents, so they never ask about going out that much. They're such nice kids, and nice kids deserve good things, right?
“I’m home…” It’s 09.15 PM, Jihoon opens his house and is met with silence, usually the kids will still be up at this time. Jihoon went to check on their kids and they're already asleep, snoring quietly while snuggling with their favorite plushie. Jihoon closed the door slowly, trying not to make a sound that would make his kids wake up. He went to the other side of the house then, to his and Seungcheol's room. “Hi!” Seungcheol greets him happily, it seems like he just finished his bath. “You just took a shower?” “Yup, I let the boys play in the bath so they're fully spent. They almost didn't eat their dinner with how tired they were.” Answered Seungcheol while pulling Jihoon closer to his arms, trying to scent Jihoon all over again. “How about you? Have you eaten?” “Yup! I cleaned the bathroom, went to eat, and took a shower. I’m a good boy, right?” He answered proudly while showing off his gummy smile, Jihoon cooed at that, patting Seungcheol's cheeks softly and tightening their hug. “That’s my good hubby. Thank you for today too.”
It has become their night routine now, after taking the kids to the bed, they would just cuddle and talk about their day or anything on the bed until they fast asleep. Most of the time, Jihoon would just lay on Seungcheol's chest while Seungcheol wrapped his arms on him. There are also days where they do the opposite, Jihoon will be the one who comforts Seungcheol who’s having a bad day at work. For tonight, they sat on their bed, bodies close to each other, watching movies just like their night date from when they weren't married yet. It’s rare for them to get an early night like this these days.
“Hey Hoon, would your clients be okay if they're away from you for a week?” “Uh well, they usually have a break when I’m having a heat but that's rare. So I think that’d be okay? Why?” Seungcheol paused the movie then, changing his position to face Jihoon. “How about… we take the kids on a holiday for a week? I heard from Seokmin that there's a big festival in his place next month.” Seungcheol can see the way Jihoon’s expression changed, his eyes sparkled even. “You know, my clients would be really happy if I say that I will go somewhere to take my kids to have fun, so do I. Let’s go!”
Hansol and Chan were in the living room, playing together as always. Hansol as the good, good big bro and Chan, a sweet kid who's adored by everyone they met.
"Hi, kids. Shall we go somewhere next week?" their papa crouched down near them suddenly asked, making the two kids who were playing with their bricks stop, turning their head to their papa slowly "You sure, pa?" "Of course! there's a festival next town... so we're thinking of taking some days off and taking you kids together... how about it?" their eyes brightened, they grinned at each other and cheered together after. "Let's go!!! oh, OH we should bring Hao-Hao too pa!" "Of course~ there's uncle Minnie too who can take us with him, but first we have to ask for permission from Hao-hao’s parents, and from Hansolie’s school, okay?”
It’s happening, it’s been a long time since Hansol went to a festival to play, and also it would be his first time to go with little Channie. He was already thinking of what he will do with all of them later, first, food is important, he’s listing all the snacks and drinks that he might able to buy later (with his parents money of course), then he’s surely will play with Channie and HaoHao, he have to decide what will be safe for little Channie so he can join them, he doesn't want his little bro to be left out.
It’s the day after their Pa told them about the festival, Hansol laid there, daydreaming in the middle of their living room, with Channie on his side, doodling so many colored dinosaurs in his drawing book. He suddenly realize then, his Pa and Da never really go out just the two of them for the past years, back then when Channie wasn't born yet, they’d still have the time to go to have a date even just for a short time, and Hansol would be really pleased to smell a really blissful scent from them. Hansol knows his parents are happy even just to be with him and Chan at home, but he really misses that kind of smell from them after they are having their little date. Nowadays, Hansol noticed the smell is mixed with their tiredness too. Hansol wants them to have that scent again, he misses it.
"Channie?" Chan answered with a small hum to his big brother, he continued to draw more doodles on his paper. "Da and Pa are so busy with their work huh…" Chan put his colored pencil down, and put a serious expression on his face. What an adorable four years old, Hansol thought.
Channie tilted his head to the side cutely, seeming to question his brother's obvious statement, because of course they know how busy their parents are. Their grandparents always reassure them that their parents are working because they love them so much whenever they start to miss their parents. "Yes, so?" "We are going for a week right, Shall we make them have a day together? Just the two of them?!" "Oh... Oh, that sounds nice Hyung! They should go to a d...da...?" "Date!" Chan nods excitedly at the word, still in the process of understanding and remembering more words, but he's really good for his age.
"So, here's the secret mission..." Hansol continues with a big grin plastered on his face
First, we have to make sure HaoHao and Uncle Minnie know our plan, so they would help us.
“Pa, can we just go to HaoHao’s place today?” Asked Hansol after Jihoon picked him up from the school, they were going to Jihoon’s parents’ house but it seems Jihoon will have to change their lane after this. “Yeah, okay, why?” Hansol gives him a side eye, the expression he tends to use when he's kind of annoyed with other people. “Well, we have to ask HaoHao to join us next week!!” Jihoon is surprised by his tone, he didn't know Hansol was that excited to tell him, so he nodded and giggled then, agreeing with Hansol even when he already asked permission from Hao’s parents through a call.
Minghao’s family used to be Seungcheol family’s neighbor after they just moved from China. Seungcheol used to pick him up from kindergarten a lot because his parents were busy and that's how Seungcheol met Jihoon since Hansol went to the same kindergarten as him. Not long after Seungcheol and Jihoon got married, they moved to a place close to Hao dad’s office. That's why Hao and Hansol aren't going to the same elementary school. Hansol was devastated by the news but he's not that sad anymore after having little Channie at home.
They’ve arrived at Minghao's place, for some reason Jihoon can see a mischievous glance from both of his boys. “You’re not going to do anything weird… right, boys?” They panicked a bit, Jihoon could sense from their expression, but their guilty expression changed to a normal one then “No, we’re not! We’re going to be the best boys as always!” They're staring at Jihoon with full confidence, even little Chan is puffing his chest out while gripping his dinosaur toy tightly. Jihoon wonders will that toy break if he held them that tight? “Okay, okay I believe you, now go in, be a polite and best boys ever, okay?” They nod in unison, Hansol went out first and then he proceeded to open the other door to help little Channie out from his car seat. They waved their little hand to his Pa then, they're just so excited to tell HaoHao about their plan.
People used to said Minghao and Hansol won't be able to get along with each other that well, Minghao was older by a year and he was a quiet kid, while Hansol is most of the times a mischievous kid who loves to play pranks on others, but they actually get along really well with each other, especially when it's time to prank Seungcheol. The pranks have decreased now as they got older, they’re bonding with talking about robots, cartoons, or even nature, they just always had so much things to say with each other.
Minghao opened the door right away, as he’s becoming familiar with Hansol's family car sounds. He grinned when he saw the both of them “Hi!! I thought we’ll be seeing each other next week!” “Yes, but…” Hansol lowered his voice, looking around to see if it's safe as if afraid his plan would be leaked to his Pa. “We have a secret mission and we need you to help us.” Minghao brightened and excitedly asked them to enter the house, with a promise he won't let his own parents know too so it will be a success. Minghao always loved Hansol’s idea no matter what it was, so he’d be glad to help them.
Now, it's time to tell Uncle Minnie, Uncle Minnie or Seokmin is Jihoon’s cousin who lives in the next town. He’s a beta, who currently has a long-distance relationship with his boyfriend, so his house is mostly empty. Back then, when Chan wasn't born yet, they visited him a lot, Hansol and Minghao loved him so much, so it's no surprise little Channie would love him too.
Hansol has to make sure their Da and Pa won't listen to his call. Their parents haven't given him a phone at all even when Hansol used to beg for them, telling them he was already ten years old so why won't they give him a phone?! and Pa is always the best of reassuring him he will get one later when it's important enough for him, as for now he can just borrow their phone and use it under their supervision. Now, he has to borrow one of their phones to call Uncle Minnie, it's hard to lie to them, he said he was just going to tell uncle Minnie how excited they are for next weekend. Little Channie also helped, he distracts their Papa a lot so he wouldn't be near Hansol at the time. First plan, succeed.
Second, let us enjoy the holiday first ;)
They’ve arrived at Seokmin’s place a bit late because the traffic was really bad, it's still fine though since they don't really have plan for the first days, also it's been ages for the kids to be in a car for that long, especially Channie, it's his first time so he’s becoming grumpy at everyone. He doesn't want to let go of Jihoon at all, even when his favorite uncle, Seokmin wants to help he rejects it, he tightens his arms around Jihoon’s neck instead, burying his head there. It’s his safe space whenever he gets too tired.
Hansol and Minghao are good boys, all they do when little Channie is grumpy is sit down in the middle of the living room, not bothering Channie and instead playing with Uncle Minnie’s collection. He collected lots of cool toys, they loved it a lot. Back when Channie was smaller than this, he tended to be grumpy a lot when he got too tired, he’s the same as his big brother back in the day. Hansol used to not understand why his little bro was mad at him for poking his feet, Minghao is the one who succeeded at telling him to not do that just by saying “Little Channie will hate you and won't want to play anymore with you if you keep doing that.” He doesn't want his little Channie to hate him.
It’s dinner time, and little Channie finally lets his Pa go, Seokmin prepares his favorite food after all, and he always loves every food Seokmin makes. It's really hard to choose who is the best chef between his Da and Uncle Minnie. Now, Jihoon can finally breathe-free, his arms ache from holding little Channie for hours. Jihoon knows he can lift 20kg weights or even more at gym, but still a 18kg living child and for hours is harder, his children just love him too much to the point Seungcheol would often sulk about it.
After dinner, Channie said he wanted to watch a movie because apparently he didn't feel sleepy anymore. Surprisingly (not really) the three boys fell asleep in the middle of watching, little Channie on top of Jihoon, both of Hansol and Minghao on Seungcheol's lap. The three of them stared at the kids fondly for a while, then moved them to a room for the kids.
Three days have passed since they arrived. Seokmin can't really accompany them all the time because of his on-site work. Choi's family decided to go to some fun place randomly, using wheels to decide. On Tuesday, they went to the zoo. The zoo here is way bigger than the one in their place. Little Channie really enjoyed it since it's his first time seeing all the animals in his book right in front of his eyes, especially otters! Hansol and Minghao love to compare him with otters because they were cute, and true to their words, it's officially one of his most favorite animals now.
On Wednesday morning, little Channie got a slight fever so they're staying at home. He was probably getting sick from being too excited the day before, in the afternoon he was getting better and for dinner the Choi's family picked Seokmin up from his office and ate outside while the weather was nice enough.
Thursday came, they decided to go to the festival after Seokmin convinced them to just go without him first, he was sure they wouldn't be able to fully enjoy the festival in just a day, they would want to go again. Yes, Seokmin was right, the child wants to go to the festival again of course. It was big, had many kinds of stalls from food to clothes, the option for them to play together was a lot, they wanted to try all of them and weren't able to do that in just a day.
They did face painting because little Channie was really intrigued by it, seeing how people come out of the booth with doodles on their face, some came out messily, some prettily. Channie wants to doodle on his face so badly, he wants to draw his most favorite things on it so he begged his parents, and they obviously agreed to it. Who could resist little Channie, really? They paint each other's faces except little Channie. Seungcheol drew some little peaches on Jihoon’s temple while Jihoon drew Cherries on him. Hansol commented they looked so fruity and they laughed hard at it, the boys can only stare at them confusingly. Meanwhile the boys are done with their doodles, Hansol and HaoHao drew each other with some cool rockets and stars, they looked so flashy Seungcheol commented, they're happy with the reaction too. The most that got reaction from even other people is of course little Channie. He doodled dinosaurs on his face, and it just makes him even cuter, the people in the booths keep on cooing at him, he gets too shy and hides behind Jihoon instead.
The face paint booth also prepared a photo booth for people to use after painting their face and of course they wouldn't let the chance to not use it. It was hard work to get all of them in the booth but they succeeded. Hansol and Minghao is the one who holds little Channie up so he will be shown in the middle, Seungcheol and Jihoon on their side, putting their faces close to each other. Hansol swore he could even smell a strong takoyaki smell that everyone ate before going into the booth.
There's also the Ferris wheel, Hansol and Hao really wanted to ride it so they asked the adults to let them play it, they agreed and went to the ferris wheel. Sadly, Channie didn't meet the height requirements, Hansol and Hao were really having a dilemma because they really wanted to ride it but they also wanted to go with Channie. The staff also didn't let him in even with adults so Channie was crying out loud in Jihoon’s arms, not even his calming pheromone was able to calm his son. Seungcheol came to the rescue for Channie, he released his stronger calming pheromone for a bit and gave him a really adorable otter plushie, Jihoon wondered when did he get it though. Channie's cries subsided, he asked Seungcheol to carry him instead, letting Jihoon be the one to accompany Hansol and Hao. Jihoon assures the boys that they can ride with Channie later when he grows taller, so it will be fine. Channie nodded somberly, still having some snot from his nose, and asked his daddy to play another game instead with him while waiting for them.
He had a nice little time with his daddy then, especially that his dad is so good at playing games (little did Channie know, his dad is just a good cheater). They ended the day with little Channie snuggled in Seungcheol's arms. It was a surprise, little Channie rarely went to Seungcheol for comfort, Seungcheol’s heart swelled with so much happiness at the end of their day, he literally had a big grin permanently on his while driving his family home, Jihoon jokes some tiny bugs can enter freely through the gap of his teeth, he got hit by Seungcheol from saying this – you’re weird!
It’s Friday! Seokmin was finally able to join them, they were actually planning to go earlier than yesterday, but the three children are still playing in their dream it seems. They were too tired from yesterday, Jihoon was glad that little Channie didn't get a fever this time. Seungcheol, Jihoon and Seokmin were just waiting for them to wake up, lounging in the backyard, while drinking tea and eating some snacks till they heard little Channie scream all the way from their room.
They panicked and ran to his room, Channie went to Jihoon’s arms right away sobbing harder than ever. “Hi, Channie? Did you have a nightmare?” Channie nodded, still had his face hidden in his Papa’s neck. “You guys… leave us.” Jihoon can hear a snort from his left, it was definitely Seungcheol, he hit his husband then, scowling at him because it is a big deal for little Channie. Jihoon can see how Hansol and Minghao are still shocked by Channie’s scream, they're just silently watching them now, processing what is happening.
“We’re not.” Seungcheol answered while still holding his laughter, it was just so adorable that his little Channie is scared for his life, scared the others will leave him alone. “We haven't left at all, we were just waiting for you guys to wake up. Now, shall we prepare and go to the festival again?”
Make sure we stick to Uncle Minnie instead of Daddy and Papa.
They glued to Seokmin all the way to the festival, not even little Channie wants to be held by his Pa. It’s confusing for Seungcheol and Jihoon but they let them be, they think it's because they haven't hung out with Seokmin at all for days even when they're in the same city. Seokmin, a sunshine he is letting the kids glued to them. Jihoon or Seungcheol would ask him sometimes , “Are you tired? We can switch. Little Channie grew after all.” Not letting Seokmin answer, Channie is the one who's persistently rejecting their offer, Seokmin can only show his big grin to them, saying he’s happy the kids love him so much and he jokingly said the love might beat their love to Seungcheol and Jihoon. (Seungcheol almost hit him with a ball he was holding for a play)
“Hun, there's some delicious looking kimbap, shall we buy some?” Jihoon’s eyes sparkled at the mention of kimbap, it's one of his favorite foods, he eventually agreed, he kinda forgot that he was bringing their kids to the festival since they have been sticking to Seokmin a lot. After they finished buying, they looked back to find there's nobody following them anymore. They look around to find them, but it’s the weekend, so it was packed.
They spent thirty minutes searching for them, Jihoon almost cried and so Seungcheol decided to finally ask the lost and found people to announce their kids name. Before they could reach the place, Jihoon’s phone buzzed, noticing there's a message for him. They even forget there’s a technology called phone to message Seokmin, to ask their whereabouts.
Write a letter for them!
There's a message from Seokmin, saying they should check their bags.
There's a letter, written on a colorful paper. Definitely little Channie’s favorite paper.
There’s some messy handwriting and doodles, Jihoon can also notice some tidy writing in between the messy letters. The doodles are little Channie's, the messy one is his Hansol, and of course the tidy handwriting one would come from HaoHao, he always makes sure anything he writes is neat and readable even if he had to write it over and over again.
Dear Daddy, Pa and Jihoonie
Jihoon giggled a bit for Jihoonie, feeling relieved there's finally a clue about them and also that's what HaoHao called him to make Seungcheol sulk. Minghao never let Seungcheol call him HaoHao, and Minghao also doesn't want to call him with a nickname, so when he called Jihoon with one, he sulked and proceeded to not give them any snacks at all. These kids just love to play around with Seungcheol a lot since he had a cute reaction to it.
Please have a date and let us be with Uncle Minnie!!! We will be okaaaaaay we promise. Have fun, Uncle Minnie promised to treat us to lots of candy so we’ll definitely be fine with just him.
“No, he didn't,” Seungcheol and Jihoon said at the same time, they stared at each other and laughed hard then. “We still have to call Seokmin to make sure” Said Seungcheol already had his phone in his hand, typing away Seokmin's number.
Their child is confirmed safe and sound with Seokmin, they are already fighting over what should they play, forgetting Seungcheol and Jihoon who panicked on the other side of the festival. (They just didn't think their parents would panicked that much over losing them, sigh)
Seungcheol linked his finger to Jihoon, staring fondly at him, that dimple of him will someday be the reason of Jihoon’s death he swear. “Heh, guess it's our time to have a date, hun.” Even after years married, he’s still not used to a fond-looking and sweet Choi Seungcheol huh.
Seungcheol is the one mischievous big kid, he really is cheating around with almost every game stall there. This one habit of his has never changed since way before. He claimed Jeonghan and Joshua, his friends since high school, are the one who taught him these, but when Jihoon asked them, they denied it strongly, and didn't want to be looked upon as some evil creature. (They're worse than Seungcheol) Jihoon can only giggled quietly at his tricks, in the very end he will get something for Jihoon, and their children such as new plushies, some snacks or drinks and even a free voucher for some foods. He had his gummy smile shown throughout the night date.
They also went to ride a ferris wheel, this time it's only the two of them of course. Jihoon had a smirk on him before entering the ride, he can feel how nervous Seungcheol is. Yes, Jihoon knows Seungcheol is scared of heights, but he also remembered how Seungcheol wants to face his fear so he takes him to this one ride.
Seungcheol’s hands feel so sticky from the sweat, they're just starting though. He’s nervous, even when he knows he wants to face this fear of his, he wants to be brave for the sake of his children. For yesterday, he’s glad he doesn't have to ride because of Channie, but in the future, they might want to ride it with him. “You know it's okay to feel scared, right?” Jihoon suddenly said “Yes, I know but…” “It’s okay, the children will just tease you cutely, they will still adore you as their daddy and uncle, and also you can hold onto me, okay?” Seungcheol sighed softly, feeling comforted by the existence of Jihoon once again. So he leaned on Jihoon’s much smaller body, pulling his body even closer to him, embracing him, he put his chin on top of Jihoon’s head. He bet Jihoon can hear how loud his heart is now. Jihoon hugging him back was making everything better though. He tried to open his eyes to see his surroundings and they were already so high, the sight in front of him was so pretty, he forgot about his fear for a while, especially basking in Jihoon’s calming scent.
By the time the fireworks were shown, they had their hands filled with so many things. Especially the food they were really craving, the food they had to hold down or else the children wanted it too, the spicy foods or the really sweet foods. They don't want to give them too many sweets, since it means a no-sleep-day, they will be filled with too much energy, they don't want that. They’ve experienced it before, it ended up with them taking a sick leave the next day after because they were just too tired from running around the house catching the childrens.
They sat side to side on the river bank, it was packed but they're really glad to find some empty spots to sit. Their hands were tired from bringing so many things at once. Both of them sighed so hard when they finally sat, while the fireworks still loudly thundered from the skies, and they could hear each other sigh even if it's loud everywhere. “We’re getting so old huh?” says Jihoon, leaning himself towards Seungcheol's shoulder. “We’re not even 40 yet, Hun.” Seungcheol chuckled
Seungcheol opened his camera phone, taking photos of their surroundings, the fireworks, and a selfie with Jihoon. The last time he had a selfie with his husband must be from months ago, he doesn't even remember it anymore. He closed the camera, switched to his messages, and found lots of messages from Seokmin. He nudged Jihoon to see then, and it was filled with lots of adorable pictures from the children's activities without them. They were truly having fun, it seems they also get so many gifts from the game stalls, now Seungcheol is kinda worried, will their car fit all those gifts? He will think about it later, now he’ll just be snuggling with his husband while they can do it freely.
Seungcheol lifted Jihoon’s body to sit on his lap, usually Jihoon doesn't really like PDA in public places, but this time he lets him do it. Jihoon leaned back on Seungcheol's body, so Seungcheol put his chin on Jihoon’s shoulder, sniffing his sweet scent, a scent that he will always love. It wasn't too strong, mixed with his scent a bit since they were mated already, he relaxed even more then. He’s also keeping himself from nibbling on his mark on Jihoon or else he might get thrown to the river… because it's still in a public place after all. He doesn't have any doubt Jihoon can lift him up and throw him wherever, oh and that sounds hot by the way.
“I love you,” Jihoon jumps a bit, hearing his deep voice close to his ears, “So suddenly?” “No, my feelings were always there, it's not just a sudden thing, babe.” Whisper Seungcheol with a wink “Sap.” Jihoon answered, but still gave his husband a peck on his cheeks. “How about my lips?” Jihoon pretends to not hear it, he processed to close his eyes and press his body even closer to Seungcheol anyway, relaxing himself in Seungcheol's scent, his mate’s scent, the one who accepted him whole-heartedly despite all of his flaws. Jihoon opened one of his eyes to find Seungcheol is staring at him tenderly, once again with his dimple shown, Jihoon can feel himself flushed by that fond stare, God, he’s down bad to him, he’s always able to make him feel like a teenager in love and he’s just so thankful for that. With that, Jihoon closed his eyes again, he could feel Seungcheol's breath even closer now, bringing his lips closer to Jihoon, they kissed slowly, enjoying each other's lips and warmth, enjoying their little time, the time that was given by the love of their little family, the rare time that they will treasure. Not that they don't like the time with the children, but sometimes it's just nice to have some little time with just the two of them, without the thought of work or their children messing with them. (Their children are good pranksters just like their dad)
That night, they all huddled together in the living room. Seokmin on the couch, the Chois stacking their blankets and laying on it, little Channie once again in the middle of them, sandwiched between his hyungs and his parents. Little Channie can smell what Hansol’s said, it was really nice, Channie felt he could just drown in that smell forever. Hansol suddenly whispered at him softly “Hey, Channie. I missed this so much, it feels like we're bundled in a fresh-washed blanket, right?” Channie nodded and giggled because of the cute description, he agreed though. He closed his eyes again then, preparing to play in his dream too, this time he was dreaming of playing around with everyone. In the middle of a big big garden, the clouds were so close to them, Channie could also see some dinosaurs along with… otters?, his new favorite animals! He feels so happy, he wishes he can feel like this forever, with his most favorite people. The Chois sleep with a smile, Seokmin is glad he can take a photo of it in the morning, he will give them a framed picture as a gift next time.
Secret mission, completed.
