Loving You Has no Species

Summary:

Even if she was a human, an alien or not for Robin none If these matters when seeing Starfire, whatever "others" thinks nothing can change his mind.

Notes:

This story happens post ‘Troq’ episode.

Honestly i loved the Idea how Teen Titans used to be one of the classic cartoons that showed messages about bullying in general, regardless if it's to avoid racism or anything, and this episode really hits hard about the feeling of being judged for not feeling "fit" in the society.

Work Text:

Val-Yor left the Titans alone after calling them “Troqs”, the Titans after knowing the true personality of him were feeling grateful for him leaving the earth, Robin didn't cared for getting called, but he was more angered for the way Val mistreated Starfire so badly because of her Tamarean race.

With the alien girl she would keep flying in front of Robin looking at the charming sunset breathing the fresh air from this planet, how someone so pure and kind could get called an “nothing” by the same man that Grayson regrets at admiring not knowing his true self, the parasocial relationship between anyone can have prices most of times.

—hey Star, i hope that it still doesn't affects you for what he was saying, i wanted to say that you are not an…”Troq” like Val says. — he let out the smooth voice.

Starfire stopped flying and put her foots down to the ground as their bodies gets hit by an soft wind, the girl immediately turned in front of him.

—Val-Yor may think that i’m useless for being different, but at least there are people who are too kind regardless if i’m an Tamarean or Not. — her warm smile also would warm Robin’s heart.

He had an urge to just punch Val remembering how he shouted at Kory and treated so bad for being different, but God only for seeing her smile the overprotective boy feel cooled down, seeing how after all Starfire is just an ray of sunshine.

—no matter how much there are people who’s going to mistreat others for their appearance, because unfortunately some of them can’t change their ideas based on intolerance… because this is how everyone decides to act, even in this planet. — Starfire only were speaking truths of how even humans can be such judgemental.

The prodigy leader only breaths raising an smug smile, and walked towards her holding her hand and raising up a little as they two would look at each other in a kind manner. Starfire had an slight blush seeing that boy smiling very comforting, she just feels so filled with value for an alien like her.

—caring about how you looks like It's the last thing i could think, because for the main reasons why you are the opposite of what Val-Yor says about is how much you are positive and strong… — he turned away his face also blushing — and pretty, i wouldn't be surprised if someday you get proclaimed as an princess from Tamaran.

She went completely speechless as Starfire's face gets even more redder completely emotioned for Robin’s gently act with words, her body was in one million as Dick would feel a bit worried.

—uhhh Star? — questioned the dark haired one.

—hehe sorry for that… — she inhales relaxed still containing that smile — thank you for still caring about me, Robin-

Koriand'r got surprised with the sudden kiss on the cheek as Robin moved his own foots in the air due to their size difference, the alien got silenced because of that and once again the prodigy Bird opened his smile with the affectionating expression while blushing.

Stuttering with difficult at letting words be free from her own mouth, Dick Grayson only would giggle in fun seeing that pretty friend which that man had the audacity at calling her useless, for God’s sake how Val was too blind by intolerance to not see how much Starfire had lots of values especially for her skills.

Robin doesn't care if he gets insulted, but if it involved his friends or especially her there’s no such mercy that would make him stop.
