"Pirates!!!"
The whole ship was in chaos as another ship approached them.
It was unmistakenly a pirate ship. It was a little outdated, made up of dark wood when most ships now are made of metal. It had black sails, a crow's nest, and swing guns.
It was like a ghost, seemingly appearing out of thin air in this dark night of new moon that made the ocean pitch black as well.
Yasui Seiichi could feel his heart pound on his chest. He didn't know what to do. Where would he even run? He was in the middle of the ocean. And this pirate ship—he didn't believe it a few hours ago when another crew mate had mentioned them.
The New Moon Pirates.
There were a lot of rumors about it, but they were all too fantastical that it sounded just a sailor's tale based on superstition.
According to the rumors, the New Moon Pirates—a name that was given to them by the public rather than a name they called themselves, were pirates that could appear in any part of the waters surrounding the Land of Moon. This was one of the reason it was such a fantastical tale since the Land of The Moon was a small island in the Sea of The South. It was an island farthest away from any other island in the world, and therefore the waters surrounding it are vast. How could one pirate ship mark the whole Sea of the South their territory? It was impossible.
But yet, here they were.
Just as the story told, they came in a black ship, on a new moon—the only time they would appear and attack. It was why they were given their name.
And according to the story, in any ship they attack, their would be no survivor. And the only reason their story was even known was because another ship has witnessed them attacking one. Surprisingly enough, they left that ship alone. No one even believed them at first, but as more and more ships disappears around this waters, rumors and whispers of their name begun to spread.
Yasui felt his heart drop as he saw some of his crewmates jump in the water. He couldn't blame them. The pirates had started to embark on their ship. But Yasui didn't want to lose hope. There were lifeboats on this ship. He could still survive if he could get one and disembark. The waters around here might be dangerous because of pirates, but it is also known to be calmer than other seas on their world. He just needed to get away.
He started for the lifeboats, and some of his fellow crew seemed to have the same plan as they two of them started helping him with one, while the others started going to the other lifeboats.
The pirates was already on the ship. Yasui's heart seems to want to get out of his ribcage, the way it was pounding, but he focused on what he was doing. They needed to get off.
They managed to untie the lifeboat they chose, and him along the other two who helped him, jumped on to it after it fell to the water. Amazingly, the pirates has not approached them.
In fact, when Yasui looked back, none of the pirates seems to have approached any of the escaping crew. He even saw a blonde one leisurely walking, and loudly talking, mentioning something about ramen.
The other crew who had went for the lifeboats, as well, were able to successfully disembark, too. And no one was going after them.
When Yasui looked back on the pirates again, he felt a chill as he caught the eye of who was seemingly the captain. A tall man with dark her and blood-red eyes.
For a moment, he taught he would go after them. But he broke their eye contact and simply started walking towards one of the other pirates.
Maybe the rumors were wrong? It didn't seem like they were murderous pirates. It's looks like they were only interested in the ship and whatever treasures they might fine in it.
But just as he ponder on it, he starts hearing it.
A hauntingly beautiful voice—no. Voices.
Yasui's eyes widen as he realized what was happening.
'Sirens!'
But that was the last thing he consciously thought of. He forgot everything. He felt light and comfortable and he loved the sound he was hearing.
But it was too far. He needed to be near the sound. He needed to go to it. But where was it coming from?
He lookee around and realized it was coming from the water. The water looked inviting and as he dipped his hand, it was warm.
Without any other thoughts, he jumped into the water, and the other men with him followed.
They swam downwards. The sound was getting nearer, and finally, they saw them.
Three beautiful naked women with fish tails.
Mermaids.
They were smiling at them and waving them toward them. Their smiles were inviting, warm... seductive.
Yasui felt more and more lightheaded as they reached them.
The one in the middle with pink hair and green eyes reached out a hand to him, and he gladly grasped it.
Then she gently pulled him towards her.
Her sharp teeth were the last thing he ever saw.

Sasuke and his crew had already taken most of the valuables they could find in their latest ship.
They didn't really need much of it since they were already quite wealthy, but they were pirates, after all.
His crew was mostly excited for whatever food they can acquire in these ships. They usually ate seafood, so they're excited for meat and fruits.
He'd make sure to check out the clothes, as well. They were most excited and curious about those.
Sasuke looks out to the sea as he heard familiar splashing.
He smiles as he makes his way to the stern so he could see.
He saw the pink hair at once, and without much ado, he jumped into the water.
He heard her giggle as warm arms surround him.
"You're done?" He asked her.
"Yes." The playful ethereal voice says. "You?"
"Yeah. We got most of what we need." He tells her.
One by one, Sasuke could hear the other pirates jumping into the water, as well.
"Thank you the meal, anata." Sakura tells him as she gives him a kiss on the cheek.
Sirens didn't really need to eat much. They get their powers mostly from the moon. So the only time they needed nourishment was during the new moon. "Anything for you, tsuma." He tells her.
"Shall we go home?" Sakura asks.
Sasuke only nodded.
His crew first set sail to find treasure.
Golds, jewelries, all the riches you could imagine.
They found them, and then they got bored of them.
But then they found another kind of treasure. Something unbelievable, something people would say are only figments of imaginations.
Something only they know, and only they can have.
And for Sasuke, that makes them the riches pirates in the world.
