Work Text:
Stargazer chewed on the end of a pen, pacing back and forth in the small office. He had to plan a trip, some important business. Though he was a prince of a kingdom of very few, this still meant that he had to do business with other nations and kingdoms in place of a king. Their placement at the edge of the atmosphere meant that the large expanse that Stargazer ruled over was a frequent stop for space ships.
These many ships had a variety of reasons to be here. Most of them simply passed through, going either into the universe or down onto the planet below. Stargazer's little settlement on the edge of the atmosphere provided fuel, hotels, and general tourism for those visiting.
Many a time had he run into a foreigner without a translator. Stargazer had learnt many languages this way, having to play damage control so many times. He nearly forgot that he was considered royalty with how…hands on some of these people had been.
Being royalty was very difficult. With being in his position, there was a court to serve and a populus, although small, to satisfy. Outside of his fortress of a castle lay one of a few settlements that existed in the large plane. The only spot where it was safe to land any craft, Stargazer made it clear. Being without a king was exhausting.
And not technically having a king meant that it was Stargazer who had to do all of the business by himself. As he was technically immortal , it did not mean much to him, space travel was not strenuous and if he died he would simply reform at his home, being made of stardust and all. Though, all living beings were made of stardust, but that was irrelevant. It was only Stargazer and a select few who had to really care about what that meant.
Much to his annoyance, some papers were strewn about the large mahogany desk, neat piles mussed up in this bout of diplomacy he was sure to make perfect. The papers had been perfect the day before, before he had learnt of the mess a certain kingdom's stopping ships had made in his astral harbor. This was one room which lay completely untouched from his and Sunburst's scuffles, a reminder of what it was like before the fool had come careening into his life. Speaking of Sunburst..
Stargazer could not get his mind off of their little tryst from the last time he had come around the harass Stargazer. It stuck with him.. their scuffle to the sex to the gentleness that Sunburst showed after the fact. Stargazer scowled, putting the pen down on the desk. He could not afford to get distracted right now.
A cursory glance back at the desk showed that in a weeks time, he would appear before the court of one of the kingdoms down on the surface. Their airships kept going through his airspace, and they were dirty, and littered, and made a huge fucking mess–
Business. Such a fun activity.
Nevertheless, Stargazer sat back down in the chair and began to write his request. He'd get it done, spend a week on the surface admiring the sights and being ogled like a zoo animal, and then he would come back here and fool around until someone had a problem he could fix. It was the cycle, not of life, that he lived. He put the pen down.
He'd gotten a ship rented for the trip itself. It should only take simply the day, as Stargazer did not need the normal treatment that esteemed guests received, upon his own request. It would simply be in, and then out. Nothing more and nothing less.
King Firebrand sure liked to decorate his palace lavishly, the brightly colored walls and banners painting a scenic view that Stargazer partially admired on his walk down. He did not receive much fanfare, but that was alright. His visit was rarely announced, as he was only ever here on business. Every kingdom knew who he was, but rarely did they know his name. His looming figure in the darkness of halls was enough to say about him.
The grand doors which marked the throne room stood, taller than most doors Stargazer had seen before. This was not an unfamiliar sight, as he had been here before. He did spot some new faces, after all, it had been a few years since he had been here. Oh well, no time to analyze the surroundings when he had a meeting in a few minutes.
As expected, the court was full of lively activity, and Stargazer was hardly noticed amongst the commotion. Desks of royals and clerics alike buzzed with activity, some demons doing their work, and some not. Stargazer was sure word of his arrival would spread fast, as would the policy he was about to lay down. By the end of the week, every royal around would probably hear of it. Demons just couldn't keep their mouths shut.
After checking in with a receptionist, and greeted a bit too formally for his liking, Stargazer was allowed into the courtroom fully. His meeting was not for a few minutes, so he stood near the edges of the large room, simply observing those around him. Knights lined the edges, knights that had never been there previously. Seems something had happened, but exactly what was a mystery. Stargazer also noticed that these knights had a similar attire to someone familiar, Sunburst.
Part of Stargazer hoped that he wouldn't encounter the tall demon today, but it seems his wishes were not respected. Sunburst stood, chatting with other knights. He wasn't facing Stargazer, so he wouldn't notice the prince just yet. He was sure once Firebrand called him over that Sunburst would put the dots together.
However… with the little time he had left, Stargazer shamelessly checked the man out. He was attractive, sure, and built like a brick factory. These aspects were great to Stargazer, as this was apparently his taste in men. He, again without any semblance of shame, stared at the paladin's ass. Damn, he was packing down there.
He spared a glance at his watch. Just a few seconds now. He silently bid Sunburst's clothed ass goodbye, and walked towards the center of the room, arriving there right when the clock hit the hour. On time, cordial, as always.
"Ah, Prince Stargazer. It's so wonderful to see you again!" King Firebrand cheered warmly, the court going quiet at his announcement. Stargazer bowed, it was time to put on a show.
"Greetings!" He cheered, smile on his face. "I am sure you were debriefed on as to why I am here, were you not?"
"Indeed! Let's get down to business, shall we?"
Stargazer could feel the stares of the court on him. He was not a common visitor. He also noticed, out of the corner of his eye, that Sunburst was looking at him. For now, he had to ignore the knight.
Stargazer trekked down the hallway, licking his lips from how dry they were. Sunburst might have thought he was sly, but he could feel the heated gaze that had looked him up and down in that courtroom, similar to the one he had spared Sunburst just before.
It had taken a lot of composure to not crumple under that intense gaze. He could never do such a thing in front of King Firebrand, he had to remain strong. He might have been a lenient king, but the kingdoms of the Swords were always to be feared in some aspect or another. The power they had could easily overwhelm Stargazer's small but vast kingdom, and he shuddered to think about how the fools would manage what he did. Preposterous.
Metallic footsteps rang down the hallway after him, a leisurely pace as if they knew what they were doing. Stargazer threw a cursory glance over his shoulder, and then stopped, turning to face the demon currently walking towards him. Sunburst, of course. And obviously this hallway had to be empty, devoid of life other than the two cosmically-born beings closing distance within it.
"Sunburst." Stargazer said flatly.
"Hello again." Sunburst purred. "Didn't expect to see you down here."
"It was for business." Stargazer said, tipping his chin up to more properly look Sunburst in the eyes. It was no use causing a scene down here. "Something I assume you are unfamiliar with."
Sunburst took a few steps forward. "You wouldn't know a damn thing about what I do and don't know." Another step. "You don't know anything , Stargazer."
"Do I now?" Stargazer straightened his posture, narrowing his eyes behind the mask, a move Sunburst wouldn't be able to see. "Awfully arrogant of you to say such a thing. Don't you know who you're talking to?"
"Yeah," Sunburst stepped close enough that their chests were nearly touching. Despite being out in the open, Stargazer felt caged in. "A little whiny whore."
Stargazer shuddered, noticeably, but tried to cover it up. He couldn't let Sunburst win like that. He opened his mouth, finding it suddenly dry.
"What, don't have a comeback?" Sunburst stepped even closer, forcing Stargazer to step back in order to keep from straight up running into him.
"I–" Stargazer growled, Sunburst slipping his fingers under Stargazer's chin, walking him backwards until he hit a wall. "– fffucking hate you. "
"Do you now?" A hand wandered to rest on Stargazer's hip. He grunted.
"Positively. I hate you more than anything in this feasible, tangible world."
"More than anything?" Sunburst grinned, a wicked, hungry thing.
"More than I hate the way the world fizzles and slips out of my grasp. More than I hate those I've slain by the end of my gear. More than I hate doing fucking diplomacy for a non-existant ruler." Stargazer grabbed the edges of Sunburst's helmet, yanking him down to his level. "That," he uttered. "Does not even scratch the surface."
Stargazer smashed Sunburst's lips into his own unceremoniously, catching the gladiator off-guard. Within a few moments, he was kissing back, hand wandering to the small of Stargazer's back, pushing on it to make it arch. Sharp teeth bit at his lips, and Stargazer found himself panting, breaking the kiss for air he did not truly need.
Sunburst pulled Stargazer closer to him wordlessly, hoisting the demon up with one hand as he hurried towards a door, pushing it open with the other. The door was shut with a hurried pace, the click of a lock reaching Stargazer's ears as he was gently disposed of on a lavish bed. It took only a moment for Sunburst's looming figure to cage him in.
Once more, his hands were gathered, pinned above his head again. Rather than use his other hand to touch some other part of Stargazer, Sunburst simply slid his hand, undoing Stargazer's belt with just one hand, a truly impressive move that left him straining against the grip.
Sunburst nestled his face in the crook of Stargazer's neck. "Don't even fucking think about being a little brat right now." He growled, and Stargazer shuddered, ceasing his struggling. It truly was futile. Sunburst was not a demon to give up so easily.
His pants were pulled down harshly, any harder and it would have ripped the expensive fabric. Stargazer pouted, but made a noise of confusion as he felt Sunburst's knee press against his clothed crotch, mirroring their last time together.
"Mmm–Sunburst, what?–"
Sunburst nipped at Stargazer's neck, pushing his shirt collar to the side with his free hand. His knee pressed insistently against Stargazer's crotch, a move that made him shudder. He pulled away from Stargazer's neck to look the demon in the eye. Or, where his eyes would be.
"If you want to be good," Sunburst said, lowly. "You'll get yourself off."
Stargazer's hips twitched. He thought about it for a second, but wondered what being good was all about. Thus, he moved his hips, beginning to grind down against the textured kneepad that Sunburst had with his armor set. The ridges slotted against his clothed cunt nicely, and he found himself making soft, breathy noises. Sunburst watched him like a hawk.
"That's it." Stargazer keened, rutting his clit against a particular spot, grinding becoming more frenzied the longer it went on. "Show me that you want to be my good boy."
"Fucking hell."
"Yeah?"
Stargazer was grateful for the mask over his eyes, because surely he was a sight to see. He only felt hazy, now mindlessly grinding his crotch into Sunburst's knee, whining. He hardly noticed when Sunburst's hand let his own free, soon replacing the bind with Stargazer's own belt. How embarrassing.
Obediently still, he kept his hands above, just now noticing he was drooling a little bit. Sunburst's hands came to grip at his hips, stopping him from grinding. Stargazer whined. Why wasn't he letting him get off? He was being good, wasn't he?
Sunburst himself looked at him with a sort of primal hunger in those eyes of his. He pulled his knee away from Stargazer, squeezing at his hips threateningly to keep him in place. He pulled down his own clothes, revealing that he was just as desperate as Stargazer felt. He felt his mouth go dry, Sunburst lining himself up with little prep for what was to come.
He spared a glance at Stargazer, concentration written all over his face. It was a silent question, one that Stargazer nodded his head to, feeling his mind in a daze. As if it were covered with cotton.
Sunburst then shoved himself into Stargazer, and the latter gasped at the intrusion, arching his back into the sudden contact. Sunburst's hands slammed down on Stargazer's hips, beginning to pull him back and forth in a brutal motion.
"Fuck–"
"That's it. Take it. Like the good little slut you are."
Stargazer fully arched his back, canting his hips in such a way where Sunburst scraped against the good spots inside of him with every thrust. He felt himself shaking, keening where Sunburst made soft grunts, burying his face into Stargazer's neck.
They were pressed quite close to each other, bodies blending together. Stargazer wrapped his legs around Sunburst, driving him further into the pretty spots deep inside him. His eyes rolled back, Sunburst was just so much for him, he felt suddenly small beneath the paladin of a demon fucking into him at a harsh, animalistic pace.
Sunburst suddenly bit down, hard , into Stargazer's neck. He shouted, suddenly tightening and cumming around him, moaning out his name.
"Sun–"
"Fuck, that's a good boy." Sunburst faltered, jamming his hips harshly into Stargazer's sensitive walls. A pulse, and Stargazer felt warmth inside his walls, pumping into him.
"Fuck, nnh, Sunburst!"
"That's right, take it.." Sunburst grunted, licking at the bloody bite mark on Stargazer's neck, his hands coming down to wrap around Stargazer's waist, keeping the two of them closely connected.
Stargazer panted, looking up at Sunburst with haze in his entire facial expression. He hoped that Sunburst picked it up, but with the way that he looked like he wanted more, Stargazer figured he got the message.
The still-clothed Sunburst seemed to think for a minute, before speaking again, voice full of need. "What's the fastest way to get to your little palace? I need to fuck you all day."
Stargazer moaned. "T-there's a ship parked outside.. It's a straight shot up." He said shakily.
Sunburst quickly pulled out, making Stargazer moan at the loss of contact. Some quick fumbling with his own pants, pulling Stargazer's onto him and untying his hands, making the two of them look half presentable, commenced. Then, Stargazer found himself slung over Sunburst's shoulder, the armored demon quickly bolting out of the room at a pace Stargazer didn't know he was able to move at.
