Methodology:
The data is gathered manually as I do not have an automated/programming solution to access restricted fiction easily. The collected data is from 1st of January 2024 to 31st of December 2024 within 366 days.
For the short analysis below, the data for Zhongchi will be excluded due to the situation.
New Works:
Within the 100 ships:
- 376741 fanfictions (an increase of 14121 compared to 362620 in 2023) in total
- 355271 of them public (an increase of 14338 compared to 340933 in 2023)
- 21480 (a decrease of 207 compared to 21687 in 2023) locked/restricted access
- An average of 5.7% locked rate (a decrease from 6.0% from the previous year
The top 3 ships with the highest number of restricted fiction are:
- Evan "Buck" Buckley/Eddie Diaz (981) from 9-1-1
- Steve Harrington/Eddie Munson (951) from Stranger Things
- Castiel/Dean Winchester (821) from Supernatural

* Zhongchi: While it's at Rank 25 with 55.0% lock percentage, it also is extremely inflated with spam fictions (mostly locked) done by a user with 6 pseud accounts. This has happened before to another ship (Ronance) the year before. I can't in good faith not report this issue after noticing it given the nature of it. Thus, I have added one more ship for this list given Zhongchi might've dropped out if I personally removed everything by this person accurately manually.
