Chapter Text
Kim Dokja is a dreamer.
The sky is blue, the grass is green, Kim Dokja dreams. It is an irrefutable fact.
He has dreamt great stories ever since he was little. Stories of dragons and mountains, swords and martial arts, of brilliant heroes with nothing to hold them back.
Yet it seems the only ones he can remember are the most ludicrous, the ones where his father is not a drunkard, or where his mother leaves with someone who treats them right. His imagination is the only thing this world can't take from him, so he dreams.
He dreams of his mother after she is imprisoned.
He dreams of a second chance at a family when he moves in with his aunt.
He dreams of what's it like to have friends when he enters middle school.
Then he enteres high school, the tenth circle of hell Dante never mentions. A punishment for ever even imagining such things where days are filled with punches, shoves, bruises and mock. Sure, it's nothing new, yet after so many years of enduring something snapped in him. Therefore he dreamed with death. Each passing day longer than the one before, melting into one another, seemingly never ending. And so, as the school day ended so did his life. For the first time Dokja didn't dream. Mind blank, body at ease, he let himself fall.
But, it is Kim Dokja we are talking about. His dreams never come true.
--------------------------------
Pure white surrounds him, no matter where he looks an endless void fills his senses.
Ah... he must be in heaven.
Kim Dokja walks trying to find someone, something, that might prove his theory. Weren't there supposed to be white pearly gates or something like that here? its just empty.
Maybe if he keeps walking.
--------------------------------
He can't tell how long it's been. How long since he died? Did he have a funeral? Maybe it's not heaven. Maybe he's just waiting for rebirth.
He walks.
--------------------------------
Okay, Its definitely been more than 49 days right? so no rebirth. Then, where is he?
He falls.
--------------------------------
"... are ... okay?"
a warm voice lulls him into consciousness.
