6 Days Left till Serina's Birthday
*yawn*
“What time is it…?”
“…5:37 AM? You’ve gotta be kidding me…”
“Ugh…I should go back to sleep, but the curtains are open and the lights are on-”
“…Wait, the lights are on?”
I start to rise from my now suddenly lucid state as I look for the intruder. My bedroom within SCHALE is (mostly) protected, but it is my policy to keep the doors unlocked at the least. So maybe there’s something I’m missing.
I look around. The light switch is switched, the curtains withdrawn from their place, the shadows look normal, there’s noises coming from under my bed-
I take a peek underneath. I see something that I probably shouldn’t have seen. A pair of bright pink eyes stare back at me. The creature and I both scream.
Sensei & [The Creature]: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I hear an audible thud come underneath. I just realized how girly the scream sounded. Might be a student? Let’s check the halo coming out through the bed and myself…well I know who this is now.
I say to the creature, “Serina! Are you alright? Is your head okay?”, as I pull her out of the bed.
Serina: Ah, I'm fine Sensei! I just bumped my head on the bed…
Sensei: So I heard. Do you have your medkit with you?
Serina: Yes, just a head bandage will do.
Sensei: Alright then! I'll fix it for you.
Serina: Eh? No, you don't have to, Sensei…
Sensei: I insist. Now, pass me the box.
I receive the first aid kit from Serina. I always question how this just falls out of the sky during battles but this is not the time to think about that. I pull out the bandage and wrap it around the very visible bump on her head, almost cartoon like. Once I'm done, I smooch it so it will heal faster.
Serina: S-S-Sensei! You shouldn't have!
Sensei: Oh? What's wrong? Do you not want me to do that?
Serina: N-No, it's fine!
Hmm, she says that, but I can see the corners of her mouth slowly inching upwards. She's really trying to hide it but I can see it. That is to say, she seems to have enjoyed the magical spell I put on the boo-boo.
Sensei: Anyway, I should prepare for the day. And the subsequent New Years Eve party in SCHALE.
Serina: R-Right…I'll be there!
Sensei: I know you will. And before you leave…you mind using the door to leave this time?
Serina: Of course! Your Serina will do what you wish!
She starts to walk towards the door of the bedroom.
Sensei: *distantly* Don't forget to close it!
I heard a light thud and a click. The bedroom should be safe for a bit.
Now, what do I prepare?
