The Story of Us

Summary:

"You’ve become boring now, Pup." she said, tilting the Sub’s chin up with the sharp point of her heeled shoe.

Her voice was laced with disgust.

“Maybe if you stop breathing, you’d be more fun?”

Something in Peat turned ice cold.

Before he could move, before anyone could react, the woman's voice rang out like a death sentence.

“Die.”

Reader’s Guide

*to My Dom/Sub Omegaverse AU

**A comprehensive guide to understanding the dynamics, rules, and mechanics of this Alternate Universe (AU).

Core Concepts

This AU combines the traditional Omegaverse with a structured Dom/Sub system, where individuals have both a Primary Gender , a Secondary Gender and a Dynamic that dictate their instincts and roles in relationships.

Primary Genders:

  • Male
  • Female

Secondary Genders: Alpha/Beta/Omega

Dynamics:

  • Dom – Instinctively driven to control, protect, and care for Subs. Doms have a special aura called Authority, which showcases their dominance.
  • Sub – Instinctively craves control, punishment, praise, and care from a Dom. Can enter Subspace (a euphoric state of surrender) or experience Sub Drop (a dangerous condition caused by neglect or forced commands).
  • Switch – Can change between Dom and Sub roles at will, but they do not have Authority. They dominate only through commands.
  • Neutral (Beta) – Regular humans without Dom/Sub instincts. They mostly act as background observers in this world.

Dynamic Variants

Each person’s Dynamic can be further influenced by their Omegaverse classification.

Variant

Description

Population

Alpha-Dom (AD)

Most common Alpha type. Naturally dominant.

10%

Alpha-Sub (AS)

Rare. Alphas who have the urge to submit more than to dominate.

  • While they still have that innate trait of being a Protector (An Alpha trait), they thrive by receiving praise from their Dominant.

3%

Omega-Dom (OD)

Extremely rare. Omegas that have the urge to dominate more than to submit.

  • While they still have that innate instinct to Please their Alpha (an Omega trait), their urge to care for their Sub is strong because of their natural role as a Caregiver.
  • These types of Omegas would mostly Dominate by control, and would always praise their Sub.

2%

Omega-Sub (OS)

Most common Omega type. Naturally submissive.

10%

Switch

Can be an Alpha or Omega but shifts between roles.

  • Switches can dominate with commands but lack Authority.

15%

Neutral (Beta)

No dynamic. Normal human.

  • Betas do have their dynamics, but they aren't as influenced by their instinct as much as Alphas and Omegas.

60%

Commands & Power Hierarchy

Doms can issue Commands that Subs are instinctively compelled to follow. These are typically one-word orders, though a Dom’s voice can enhance the command’s strength.

Common Commands:

  • Crawl – Go on all fours.
  • Stay – Remain in place.
  • Kneel – Sit upright on knees.
  • Go / Come – Move away or toward.
  • Stop – Halt all movement.
  • Stand-Up – Rise to feet.
  • Strip – Remove clothing.
  • Present – Assume a submissive posture for their Dom.

Prohibited Commands:

Some commands are strictly forbidden, especially those that inflict harm.

  • Example: "Die" – This command can send a Sub into an instant Sub Drop, potentially leading to death. Doms who are found guilty of this may be arrested.

Overwriting Commands:

A stronger Dom can override a weaker Dom’s command.

  • This ability is rarely used, and its morality depends on the situation.

Key Sub Phenomenas

Subspace:

  • A euphoric, floating state of total submission.
  • Happens in highly compatible Dom/Sub pairs.

Sub Drop:

  • A dangerous condition caused by:
    • Being abandoned after a punishment.
    • Receiving a forced command.
    • Experiencing an extreme Authority without consent.
  • Symptoms: Mental instability, fatigue, numbness.
  • If untreated, it can cause permanent disability or death.

Aftercare:

  • Essential to a Sub’s well-being.
  • Doms provide aftercare through praise, petting, or comfort to stabilize a Sub.

Suppressants

Suppressants:

  • Dynamic Suppressants (White): Pills used to control dynamic instincts and urges.
  • Omega Suppressants (Blue): Can be used for 6 months before a mandatory heat cycle.
  • Alpha Suppressants (Red): Less commonly used but can be taken for up to a year.

Collars & Rings:

  • Collars – Worn by Subs in a Dom/Sub relationship.
  • Rings – Worn by Doms to signify they have a claimed Sub.

Claims & Marks:

  • Claim: When an Alpha stakes a bond with an Omega as their mate.
  • Marks: Permanent mating/bond marks, usually reserved for Alpha/Omega pairs.

Author's Note:

Okay, I know I am on Hiatus but my brain wouldn't stop making this story in my mind, so today I finally got into "World Building" so to say.

Here is the Guide that would help you better understand my story.

I will be honest, I am a beginner with the Dom/Sub genre, and I am still learning as I go. So, if I do make mistakes, please forgive me.

P.S. All my other works would remain on HIATUS. This one, will be updated IF I manage to write a chapter.
