Work Text:
Ochako folded the blanket neatly, connecting the corners one at time, before placing it on the end of the small sofa. She reached for the next blanket and repeated the process, adding to the pile of folded blankets.
She and Himiko had just finished their movie date on the cheap, scratchy sofa in the villains room. There was no doubt that the hero in training’s room would have been more comfortable, but it wasn’t like she could just take a villain of all people, back to her dorm.
“Do you have to go so soon, Ochako?” Himiko pouted as she lifted her head from where she lay on the floor.
Uraraka laughed lightly, “I have to go now yes, I wouldn’t want the other students or Aizawa-Sensei to think i’ve been gone too long. They’d probably send a search party after me.”
A smile spread across the older girls face at hearing her girlfriend laugh. Even though she did laugh often, it never failed to make her smile.
“Promise you’ll be back soon?” Himiko spoke, hope creeping into her voice.
Ochako placed the last folded blanket down with a soft smile growing with her words, “Of course, Himiko.”
As she grabbed her jacket on the way out, she listened to Himiko’s laughter, growing ever so slightly quieter as she reached the door.
Her hand froze on the door handle as she paused.
“Love you Himi.” Ochako called out softly.
More giggles erupted from the girl still lying on the floor, “Love you too ‘chako!”
A larger smile grew on her face as she finally allowed herself to twist the door handle and push open the door. She made sure to face the door so she could close it gently, not wanting to alarm any of the villains who might not have known she was there.
Not that there were any that didn’t know, Himiko had announced it loud enough for the whole street to hear.
A strangled noise behind her caused her whip around so fast, she almost fell. Her hands grappled for the door frame, soon stabilising her self, and shooting her gaze up.
The number two hero was stood startled, right in front of Dabi’s door, his hand holding the door handle so tight, his knuckles had turned white.
Both heroes stood in silence staring at each other, before Hawks spoke up.
“You’re a student at UA.” the dumbfounded expression never once left his face.
“Hawks? What the hell?” Ochako replied so quietly he barely heard her.
Hawks finally got ahold of himself, adjusting his face so his jaw was no longer dropped in shock. “Why are you here kiddo?”
“To see my… girlfriend..?” She let her voice trail off at the last word, before curiosity overtook her, “why are you here?”
Hawks did a terrible job at keeping a straight face, his jaw dropped again and his words laced with disbelief, “You’re dating a villain?”
Ochako scowled at his words, “Well i’ll assume you are too, considering you just came from Dabi’s room.” as she pointed at his hand still on the flame villains door.
Hawks followed where she was pointing, and quickly snatched his hand back. He felt his face heat up as he laughed, “Fair enough.”
Uncomfortable silence overwhelmed them once again.
“So..um.. you only here for your date or..?” Hawks stumbled over his words, not wanting to reveal too much in case she was not aware.
He frowned at himself, he was certain he’d never been this nervous before.
Clearing his throat he carried on, “You here to give them information too?”
“If you’re asking if I’m a traitor, the answer is yes.”Her scowl had slowly faded into a sense of calmness.
Relief washed over the number two hero as he laughed, “Yeah, me too. Realised the HSPC were corrupt, and decided to help the villain i started dating.”
“Same thing here.” Ochako smiled at her own words.
A third person broke the silence as a door shut, both heroes snapping to look at the source of the sound.
Grey eyes stared back at them.
“Hey aren’t you Shouto’s brother?” Ochako broke the silence this time.
The man slowly got over his shock, nodding his head as he spoke, “Yeah, and you’re his classmate.” he turned his head to Hawks.
“You have got to be kidding me. The number too hero?”
“Yeah, hello to you too” Hawks laughed, a much quieter sound than his usual laugh.
“Shigaraki? Really?” The student scrunched up her nose at the realisation.
Natsou laughed at her expression before replying, “He’s actually pretty, and really nice once you get to know him.”
Hawks looked amused at that, “Who knew Shig-“
His words were cut off by the sound of another door slamming
The hero frowned at the sound, “Another person, really? What is the chances of all of us meeting right now?”
Ochako nearly shrieked at the sight of the person at the end of the corridor. Or rather the two people.
“Aizawa-Sensei? Present Mic?” he voice was barely above a whisper but it was enough for the two heroes to snap their heads up at the sound.
“Uraraka, why are you here? Hawks? And aren’t you Shouto’s older brother?” Aizawa’s frown deepened with each question.
“Oh hey little listeners!” Mic was evidently a lot more cheerful.
“So are you all dating villains?” Natsou asked incredulously.
“Yes” Ochako and Hawks spoke in sync.
Aizawa opened his mouth to speak but the man next to him beat him to it, flinging his arm around Shouta, “Nah, me and Shouta are married, we’re just here to visit our old friend.”
He pointed to the wedding band on his finger as he said ‘married’.
“What?! You and Aizawa-Sensei?!” Ochako looked as if she was about to faint.
Aizawa simply sighed before replying, “Uraraka me and Mic will take you back to the dorms, please make sure no one sees you on the way in.” He averted his gaze towards the other two, “I assume you both have your own methods of getting back?”
Both men nodded.
“We can pretend this never happened, move along and hope that it never does happen again.” Hawks cheerfully spoke as he walked towards the back door.
Mumbles of agreement quickly followed suite.
