Chapter Text
I was staring at the blackboard in the front of our class. Confused. How can this make any sense to anyone? I asked myself, eyes still on those weird words written on a black surface. Present Mic was teaching us about some English grammar, but it wasn't giving any sense to me.
I looked around our class. Most of my classmates seemed like they know exactly what we are doing for the last 45 minutes. My gaze landed at Sero. His face was as confused as mine, which calmed me down a bit. We locked eyes for a few moments and exchanged a few confused glances. Suddenly I heard a bell. The bell. My saviour!
I packed my things and was ready to leave the class as fast as possible, but Mic was apparently faster. He called me over to his desk. I came closer and put on my usual bright smile.
,,Kaminari, how are you handling this topic? Do you understand it or you need some help with it?'' he asked in an unusually quiet voice.
,,To be honest- I think I need some more time to understand it.'' I said and smiled nervously.
,,If you need me to explain it again, just let me know, I'll spare some time for you.'' he said as he winked at me.
Oh well, being their sons boyfriend does have some benefits. I've been with Hitoshi for half a year or so now and although I was worried about the reaction of his adoptive parents, they accepted this fact pretty well. Well... Aizawa was locked in his bedroom for the whole night, refused to get out and didn't let anyone in. Not even Mic. He eventually let him in when it was almost morning and I don't wanna know what they did in there. When they came out, Aizawa took a path straight to Shinso.
,,What did I tell you about dating loud blondes?'' was the only thing he said with a stern gaze.
Present Mic was singing in a kitchen while making breakfast for everyone. At that moment it was a perfect complement for the situation. I think Aizawa didn't mind that his son is also gay, more like the fact that from all of the boys from our school it just had to be me. Like father, like son. We talked and cuddled a lot with Hitoshi that night.
I came back to reality.
,,I'll let you know if I need help.'' I assured him.
Students started to fill in the class. I quickly said goodbye and run off to the next class. By coincidence it was Aizawa's class, which made it the last one too. For now at least. After the end of the class, Aizawa too called me over.
,,Kaminari, your last exam was a disaster again, what happened? Hizashi tutored you.'' he said with a not-so-nice tone.
I lowered my gaze. My grades were dropping a lot these last few weeks and my personal life wasn't any better. Even when we're sparing and training our quirks, my brain short circuits like 50% of the time. I once overdid it and just stared into nothing, laying on a ground. I wasn't even in my usual 'idiot mood', I just layed there, until my seizure was off.
,,I don't know what happened... I'll do better next time.'' I reasured more like myself than him.
Aizawa snorted.
,,Don't overdo it, kiddo. Don't you think that I don't know about your secret little study sessions.''
I broke out in a sweat. It's true that I'm trying to study a little more effectively, so I came up with an idea. Staying up late at night and study was surely a good idea. It ended up with me studying for whole long weekends and I sometimes forgot to eat or sleep because of it. ADHD for life... Maybe my study plan wasn't as effective as I imagined.
,,I just want to study properly...'' I admitted.
Aizawa stared at me with no emotion in his eyes.
,,It doesn't work like that. You have to take regular breaks. It's the same when you train your body, your muscles also need to rest as well as your brain.'' he said.
There was something about his words. He motioned with his hand and dissmised me.
,,Go, before I punch you.''
,,Alright, thanks for your advice.'' I called already at the door.
Aizawa was acting a bit weird. He was never interested in my grades that much, but today was different. And when I add Mic's concern to it... Something's going on, doesn't it?
I went straight to my dorm. Toshi is gonna wait for me there, for sure.
I arrived into a common room and just as I predicted, Shinso was sitting there on a sofa, waiting for me.
,,Toshiiii!'' I called as soon as I saw him.
Hitoshi looked up from his phone, he'd been staring at until now and smiled. I sat down right next to him and hugged him tightly. I always miss him after a long school day. And apart from a few minutes in between classes we don't see each other often.
Shinso hugged me back and pulled me in more.
,,How was school?'' he asked as he stroked my back gently.
,,Mmm... Pretty okay. I just don't understand the English grammar again. And Aizawa and Present Mic were acting weird.'' I answered.
I could feel him stiff up a bit for a moment as his hand stopped stroking my back.
,,What do you mean?''
There was a hint of nervousness in his voice. What's wrong with these three today?
,,I don't know... Mic was offering to tutor me and Aizawa was worried about my school grades, my physical and mental health maybe a little too much.'' I said.
Hitoshi loosened up a bit, but not too much. Does he know something I don't?
,,What do you know about it?'' I asked and raised up my head just enough so I could see him.
Shinso pulled away from our hug. I missed his touch already.
,,These two... They want to take you with us for a summer vacation. I told them to act nice to you, so they don't scare you away and then I will ask you to come with us. I just didn't know they'll take it this seriously...'' he said.
I stopped listening once he said the word 'vacation'. The fuck do they mean a vacation?? That holidays by the sea? With them?!
,,Denki, you alright?'' I heard Hitoshi's voice.
I looked him in the eyes. His face showed something between horror and worry.
,,I can't do this.''
That was the last thing I said before I passed out. The only thing on my mind at that time were all possible alternatives of things that could go wrong. And I knew that at least one thing will actually happen.
