The GIW is moving bases when a transport unit has to split to pass through Gotham because a superhero fight blocked off the main roads. Gothamites don't react well to all white creeper vans, especially when they enter a Rouge's territory. They, predictably, get jumped and robbed as everything they had is taken to the Rouge, Two-Face in this case.
Most of it is weird tech and guns that don't do much, as far as they can tell, but it's a cold container that has Two-Face's attention the most. It has stronger security, bio locks, and is covered in a layer of frost that spreads like one of Mr. Freeze's weapons if you touch it. It takes time to crack it open but instead of anything they expect, it's a seemingly frozen corpse of a teen boy. Muzzled and connected by shackles and a collar to the inside of the cold case, which is lined in a powdery red substance.
Two-Face is wondering if he'll need to worry about Red Hood hearing about them having a dead kid when he looks back and finds the corpse had opened its eyes and is looking right at him.
They don't react like others do seeing Two-Face for the first time, no flinch or sneer at his face. They just observe each other until one of the goons gets close and the kid growls at them, reacting like the normal goon is the danger here. The goon gives Two-Face a file they found before quickly backing off when the growls get louder, the kid doesn't seem to like anyone but Two-Face being close.
A glance at the file shows it might just be because he doesn't look like the goons.
'Subject: P-1 Phantom
Species: Ectoplasmic entity, ghost
Classification: Dangerous, threat level A.
Experimentation: Base Beta, Amity Park. Completed.
Extermination: Base Alpha, Washington.'
Two-Face looks at the powerful, non-human entity set for extermination and flips a coin.
Harvey Dent wakes up at his current home and goes downstairs for coffee. He pauses outside the kitchen when he sees a mini Bruce sitting at the table, eating his cereal, and wearing a hospital gown with a sci-fi collar on.
Harvey wonders if the coffee is worth it before realizing he might not have enough for this.
Notes:
- Danny wears a hospital gown with a 'Specter Deflector' collar his parents made to try and prevent Phantom from 'taking over'. It has their signature style and name on it like all their other inventions.
Phantom has his usual suit and an all white shock collar/cuffs with GIW and 'Property of the US Government' on it. Both will hurt to take off.
- Because of the dehumanization and experiments in the GIW base, Danny and Phantom had to split mentally to survive. Phantom acts more animalistic or eldritch at times because he forgets Danny's humanity and has a severe distrust of humans. (Harvey and Two-Face look/feel like a ghost so Phantom is chill with them.)
Danny is completely cut off from Phantom's memories and hates not knowing when or where he'll be next time he 'wakes up'. (Think of it like how Dan happened but it was just Danny's mind protecting itself. Phantom is just unsettling instead of murder happy like Dan.)
- Jack and Maddie thought Phantom was possessing Danny and always treated Danny like their son when he couldn't keep up his ghost form. The mental whiplash of how they acted messed up what Danny saw as 'paternal love', and made him scared to 'mess up' and get hurt for not being what Harvey or Two-Face want.
Phantom will lash out, push boundaries, and test everything he can to see what gets them hurt in case he can use that knowledge to protect Danny or escape if he needs to.
- Danny isn't actually Bruce's son. He is however distantly related because of Bruce's trip through time. Bruce may have forgotten a lot at the time, but he didn't lose his flirty playboy persona and left a broken heart and kid behind at one point. That kid went on to be the ancestor of the FentonNightingale family, Danny's ancestors where the Wayne features of black hair and icy blue eyes survived the strongest. Danny looks like a baby Bruce because that's just genetics being funky, sometimes you look exactly like a family member from ages ago for no real reason.
