Something That Just Don’t Sit Right with You

Summary:

Sam and Dean relationship has always been far too codependent and just tittering on crossing a line. One night they both get drunk and are a little more happy than the average hunter’s resting state. They finally cross that thin-ass line and have sex.

In the morning, Dean just kind of accepts it as the inevitable happening and is okay with the idea of continuing this. Sam, is not as okay with this and demands they go to therapy to finally work on these issues.

Dean refuses, Sam threatens to walk away, and now....

They have an appointment Monday morning.

Chapter Text

"We should get a drink." Dean said suddenly from the drivers side of the car.

Sam looked over at him and felt a smile tug on his face at the sight of Deans contagious one. Then he pointed looked at the very bright sunny sky about them.

"A little early for bar hoping." Sam said in reply and Dean just hummed like it was a none issue.

"We'll get something and take it back to the bunker then. Finally binge the rest of that show Charlie sent us... what's it called?"

"Grimm." Sam offered smiling again, a lightness to the air that was rare after a hunt.

"What's the celebration?" Sam asked.

"I need a reason to hang out with my brother?" Dean teased and Sam snorted.

"I just think... look, how rare is it for us to actually finish a hunt early?" Dean said and Sam gave a conceding nod.

"Pretty rare, you're right."

"Exactly, so I say we take the time and get a little R and R." Dean said, actually looking over to meet Sam's eyes. A hopeful gleam in his own. Light and happy in just that way Sam always tried to maintain when his brother had it. He playfully rolled his eyes and smiled.

"Alright, there's a grand liquor coming up." Sam gave in and Dean let out a sound of happiness that Sam actually let himself chuckle at.

He'd soon come to regret agreeing to this.
