Chapter Text

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Cerasi asks nervously, her gaze flickering between the injured, unconscious girl on the cot, and Obi-Wan standing over her, rubbing his palms together.

"No, not even a bit," Obi-Wan admits, feeling for that spark he'd felt earlier. It had come to him in a moment of desperation, and though it had taken him a while, he thinks he has the hang of it now. "It's not exactly something Jedi taught me. I mean, I know there are Jedi healers, and a lot of kids at the temple have natural talent for healing, but - I don't think this is that, exactly?"

"Then what is it?" Cerasi asks, hugging herself. "Can you explain it, at all? Obi-Wan, I know you want to help, but Milena is barely on the mend - if anything happens that makes her worse -"

"I don't think it'll make her worse," Obi-Wan says - and by stars he hopes he's right. "I think - it's like a blood transfusion, but energy. I'll be sharing my Living Force with her, or giving her some of mine."

"Your lifeforce? That doesn't sound safe," Cerasi says, alarmed. "Won't that hurt you?"

Obi-Wan shakes his head. "It won't." Not with his new, botched up form of mediation. Not since he stopped releasing his emotions into the Force, and started to instead pull the Force into himself. "Lifeforce is the wrong word - it's more like… It's not exactly Force, but it's like the Force, my Living Force. What I take from my surroundings, I can give to others. That's what I did with Roenni." Or so he thinks. "And it gave her body the energy it needed to fix her injury."

Cerasi still looks hesitant, but like everyone else, she'd seen Roenni get shot - and she'd seen her get up after Obi-Wan panicked and flooded her system with the Force. Roenni still has the scars - entry and exit, on her chest and back. It's a kind of proof no one can deny.

"Alright," Cerasi finally says. "But please be careful - for your sake too! Milena is recovering, you don't need to overextend yourself, okay?"

"Okay," Obi-Wan nods - he's not exactly eager to pass out in Force exhaustion either.

Rubbing his palms together again, chasing that spark he'd felt with Roenni, Obi-Wan kneels beside Milena and, once he feels the energy welling up, he lays his hands on her side, and wills the Force to move.

Notes:

This started out as bunch of snippets building from the concept of "Obi-Wan Kenobi develops cultivation in Melida/Daan" with different points in time as the potential start of the story... but then they ended up kinda part of the same narrative. So this is basically a ramshackle sequence of scenes loosely connected by singular thread of canon divergence - aka, Obi-Wan Kenobi as a Cultivator.

Is there a point to this? Absolutely not. I just had an idea I thought was neat.
