Chapter Text
It is boiling in this café.
Thought Shoyo Hinata, she had come to get a cold brew, she was in the middle of a sports science independent study.
Whilst the intricacies of torn tendons was hugely interesting for Hinata, she was desperate for some respite from this intense heat. However her coffee was taking too long and she was fidgety from sitting down for so long. She did not want to be stood in this oven of a café for any longer so the moment she gripped her coffee she almost ran out of the coffeeshop.
However there was something, or someone blocking the way.
That someone had long black hair reaching past her shoulders, with pale blue eyes staring out from underneath her fringe. She was wearing a dark blue T-shirt with the Everlong album cover that had been DIYed into a tank top of which the arm holes were long and stretched showing off her bra from underneath. The shirt extended down to her hips. The shirt covered the waistband of the frayed, ripped denim shorts she was wearing. Her legs were bare, and very long as noticed by Hinata. As she checked out the mystery girl’s worn in red converse.
Around her neck she had a bunch of layered necklaces that matched the silver hoops in her ears. However well dressed, in Hinata’s opinion, the girl was. Nothing could distract from the girl’s face, she was ethereal clear pale skin, accented by pale blue eyes, deep black lashes and eyebrows. There was one issue with her appearance and that was a deep scowl on her face, she was staring at the door as if she was willing it to explode with all of her might.
Now why would this cool glass of water wish this door to explode, well it became apparent to Hinata that the girl was holding approximately six cups of coffee in her hands, and therefore the door had become an insurmountable obstacle that she could only use her mind to overcome.
As such Hinata decided to be her saving grace, and immediately pulled the door open for her, the girl’s scowl did not entirely evaporate but Hinata’s effort was not wasted as some of the foul energy did dissipate as the girl turned to Hinata and stated curtly
“thank you”
Hinata immediately beamed with pride.
“you’re welcome, need a hand?”
“no”
“are you sure?” said Hinata a bit bewildered that the taller girl didn’t want even a bit of help.
“yes, I do not need assistance”
Hinata stood stared at the girl.
“like how you didn’t need assistance with that door”
The girl once again pulled her face into a stony scowl. Before she began to stomp away, Hinata was not going to let her run off though. For some reason she was suddenly embroiled in a strange sense of competitiveness. She raced after the girl.
She soon came to stop at a zebra crossing, unable to press the button for the lights, Hinata reached out and pressed it as she caught up to the ebony haired beauty.
“what’s your name? where are we going? Do you go to university here or at the quayside uni? Do you even go to university? Are you too dumb?”
As the lights changed the girl stormed over the crossing followed by a smaller girl almost yelling questions as the taller of the two stormed on.
This continued for about eight minuets as they travelled across town. The questioning never ended. It got to the point where the questions had run out and Hinata began to repeat ones she had already said. However suddenly the blue eyed, black haired girl suddenly stopped and turned around causing Hinata to abruptly stop right in front of this mysterious girl.
“open that door” said the scowling girl. Hinata obliged, the girl stepped into the doorway and then turned around.
“my surname is Kageyama” she turned and the door slammed shut.
Hinata had only got one answer out of Kageyama, but it was the one she wanted the most. She stared up at the building Kageyama had entered, it was a recording studio called wayside records.
Hinata wondered who all of those coffee’s were for, and why this gorgeous girl had been sent out in this heat to get them.
Hinata would wonder this all the way back to her seminar room where she now had to collect all of her belongings as another course’s lecture was taking place.
