Summary:

Till is dead, he died in his round against Luka. That was to be expected, those good for nothing aliens liked Luka more afterall. After death, Till is in a bright area, and there are many portals on display. He walks up to one of them, and goes in.

Suddenly, he’s in a whole new world. That’s much calmer than his old one.

Notes:

Chapter 1: New and calming place

Chapter Text

|| TILL POV:

I don’t remember the first 6 years of my life, but I remember before then. I was some sort of popstar, dancing in life or death competitions for aliens. I have no idea what the hell their sick, and twisted minds went through as they saw us. My last memory, I saw Mizi’s face, shocked, as my cold, and tired body hit the floor. Then, I was in a bright and warm place. And I saw a portal, dozens actually. I went up to a teal portal, and walked in.

Then I was born into a calm, calm world.

——————-

|| First year, Highschool.

“Oohh! Iwa-chan~! The new first years are here!” A brown-haired boy said.

“Shut up, Oikawa. Dont go pissing off the young ones too.” A shorter, but more aggressive boy said.

3 first years stood in the large and bright gym, not knowing what to say.

Suddenly, two men walked up to the trio. One of them spoke “First years! Glad you joined our team! Please, go ahead and introduce yourselves!”

One of the first years with hair that looked like and onion ring bowed, “MY NAME IS YŪTARŌ KINDAICHI! I MAINLY PLAY MIDDLE BLOCKER! IT’S A PLEASURE TO BE ON THIS TEAM!” Kindaichi yelled.

“Oh~ so he’s the loud one.” Oikawa whispered to Iwaizumi.

Another boy bowed, “My name is Akira Kunimi, and I play wing spiker. Thank you for having me.”

Finally, the third boy who noticed all this, bowed aswell and said, “My name is Till! I don’t know what my family name is because I don’t have a family! And I play wing spiker! Thank you for having me!” Till said enthusiastically.

Oikawa started covering his mouth and mumbling “Don’t laugh…” And the two other first years mainly gave Till judging looks.

Till, who noticed this, immed explained, “Sorry, I didn’t want to explain after I only said my first name, so I just said it straight up…”

Everyone nodded slowly, besides Oikawa who was still trying not to laugh.

“Uhm… should we go into that, Coach?” The man said to the the coach.

“If it ever causes trouble, I’m sure the kid’ll come to us.” The coach replied. As the other male nodded. “WE’LL BE HAVING A SMALL PRACTICE MATCH, JUST TO SEE EVERYONE’S CURRENT SKILLS!” The coach yelled.

Suddenly, a boy flayling his hands spoke up “Coach! You know that whichever team I am will win!” Oikawa moaned.

Iwaizumi slapped Oikawa’s head, “DON’T BE SO COCKY!”

“Ow, Iwa…” Oikawa akwardly said.

“Iwaizumi, Oikawa has a fair point. How about you don’t play, Oikawa.” The coach said calmyly.

“Ueh- No, no, that’s fine…” Oikawa mumbled.

“Ok then! The coach replied. Oikawa and Yahaba will choosing their teams, since they are both the only two setters.” The assistant coach said.

Oikawa grinned, “I pick…! Iwa-chan, Kindaichi, Mad dog, and… Till!”

Till scrambled when the bright man said his name, but he walked over… Relunctantly…

Yahaba raised an eyebrow, “I’ll take Matsukawa-senpai, Watari, Hanamaki, and Kunimi, was it?”

Everyone walked over to their captains, and the discussions of placements started.

————

|| Oikawa’s team.

“Hey-lo, everyone! I’m Oikawa, and I’ll be setter, Iwa-chan~ You can be our opposite,” he said with a cheerful and cheeky grin on his face.

“Mad dog, you’ll be wing spiker. Kindaichi! You can play middle blocker. And Till, you shall play wing spiker!” Oikawa said even more cheerfully.

Everyone nodded, indicating that they understood. Besides for a certain boy.

“DON’T CALL ME MAD DOG, GODDAMNIT!” A boy with a blond buzz cut with black stripes through yelled.

Till looked at the boy with pity, wondering the history behind the name.

Oikawa waved it off “It suits you though-“

Oikawa was cut off by the “Mad dog” grabbing his collar. But the fight that was about to happen almost immediately came to a close. In a flash, Till gripped on the blond boy’s arm, leaving a mark once it was removed.

“HOLY SHIT DUDE! YOU LEFT A FUCKING MARK ON MY WRIST!!” The Mad dog yelled, taking a step back.

Till apologized uncomfortably, and Oikawa narrowed his eyes.

Oikawa POV: “Huh… so this Till guy left a mark on Mad Dog’s arm. He didn’t look like he was trying very hard either. Interesting.”

“Kentarō! Don’t swear in my gym. You understand?” The coach yelled harshly.

“Mad Dog” began to stomp away, slamming the door closed as he left.

“Uhm… Well now it’s going to be a 4 vrs 5, is that fine…?” Till uttered with uncertainty.

The coach shook his head, “It would be unfair, is someone okay with not playing?”

A boy, Watari, raised his hand. “I guess I’m alright with it, coach.”

The coach thanked Watari, and he called for the practice match to begin.

————————

“My oh my! I get to serve right off the bat! Thank you, coach!” Oikawa said eagerly.

The coach nodded, “I look forward to seeing how strong your serve has become.”

Till didn’t particularly care about any of this,

*BAM*

The grey haired boy quickly whipped his head to where the ball landed on the other side, it landed near the edge of the court.

The sound sent a slight shiver down everyone’s spine, but they recovered quickly.

Oikawa was able to score about 5 more points untill someone on the other side finally received the ball.

—————————

It was Oikawa’s time to set, the current score was 3-7.

“Hmm, I shouldn’t set to Iwa again, and I’ver already had Kindaichi spike. Till’s always exactly where I need him not to be… We are ahead, I’ll just set the ball to him.” Oikawa thought to himself right as he tossed it.

“TILL!” Oikawa yelled.

Till jolted a bit, but he quickly ran right to where Oikawa set the ball.

*BAM*

The sound of the ball echoed the gym, and as Till looked at his hand, he noticed everyone staring at him with slight disbelief.

“What in the world…?” Oikawa muttered.

Till stood still at the akward silence, his eyes darting around the room.

Till then spoke, “What’s the matter with you all?”
