Chapter Text
Jayce hated Professor Stanwick. He couldn't understand why he enjoyed making him suffer. He was a good kid. He always did his homework, remembered to brush his teeth and, though he was a bit shy, got along with everyone.
He was fairly taken by surprise, when the Professor announced that Violet Warwick was going to be his partner in the science project.
It's not like he didn't like her, but Violet, or Vi, as everyone called her, had a very crass personality. She was loud and quite irritating when she wanted to be. She had a ‘C’ average in science, probably to balance his amazing ‘A+’. Obviously an attempt from the Professor to make his grade drop.
The funny thing was that Vi was a far better student than him, generally speaking.
Science was the only subject she wasn't remotely interested in. Yes, Professor Stanwick must have done it on purpose.
Which made Jayce realise he was going to do all the work.
“Great.” He sighed. However, as he noticed Vi going towards him, he forced himself to appear calm and most of all, satisfied with being paired with her.
Vi, arms crossed in cool indifference, stared at him from above, as he squirmed in his chair, timidly hugging his backpack on his lap.
“My house, 5 p.m., let's let this over with. Bring the glue and some pastels.” He could only nod, so fast, he felt the chub of his cheek shake.
As he promised, he arrived at her house at five sharp. He waved his mother goodbye, and waited for her to go away before knocking, avoiding every possibility of embarrassment.
As he came closer to the door, he started to hear some voices shouting. They didn't seem angry, just loud for the sake of it. He rolled his eyes back, bracing himself for what it was about to come.
Vi's family came from Zaun. His mother had told him they were the same as them, but Jayce noticed they tended to be generally louder and more aggressive…no, defensive, that was the right word.
He knocked, and immediately the voices got louder.
“It's for me!” He immediately recognised the girl's voice. As expected, Vi opened the door, giving him an unimpressed look.
“Well, what are you waiting for? Come inside.”
He followed Vi inside the house, curiously looking around.
As they reached the kitchen, they found two children colouring on the table. One was a cute chubby kid, wearing a big pair of goggles, while the other had messy black hair and bushy eyebrows.
“I told you I needed the space! Move it! Go play with Powder!”
Jayce observed the scene with embarrassment, blushing furiously as he pressed his lips on a thin line.
“Vi! Why are you yelling?!”
A tall man with broad shoulders and another with a scar on his face and a little girl with blue hair in his arms, turned the corner and stared at the scene with curiosity and expectation. Waiting for an explanation.
“I told you I needed the table for studying.” She whined. The man with the scar scoffed as he let the little girl go.
“Play on the sofas. We're going out, Viktor will watch you.” He said with a naturally cold voice that made Jayce shiver.
“We don't need a babysitter!” The boy with bushy brows screamed, making Jayce instinctively cover his ears with his hands.
“It's not for you, it's for Powder.” Said the taller of the two. The man had a gentle and kind presence, but Jayce could feel he was also not one to mess with. Jayce wasn't very good at catching clues, but even he knew they were indeed in need of a babysitter, considering the mess they were making.
He started hearing unrhymed steps, painted with a metallic sound, someone was going down the stairs.
“The food is ready, just heat it up. Vi, your friend can stay for dinner if he'd like.”
Yeah, sure. Jayce didn't think so. He'll do this project at light speed and then immediately get home to his mom.
“Don't worry, I'll study too while watching them.” Jayce was taken back by the deep voice that responded. It belonged to the person going down the stairs, who was taking his sweet time, and was still hidden by the wall of the staircase.
He heard one last step, accompanied by a metallic thud, and then his heart started beating faster, as he saw him.
The boy was so pretty, tall and slender, with chin length brown hair with some blonde strands. His eyes were sharp and golden, and his nose and ears were decorated by multiple piercings. Jayce then noticed he was holding a cane for support.
Jayce's eyes twinkled with amazement. He was just like the wizards in his beloved books, with their magic staff.
Everything from then on became blurry. He spent the rest of the day staring at the unbothered teenager, who kept texting on his phone while curling himself up on the sofa next to them.
Vi continuously put him in his place, urging him to pay attention and do his part of the job.
But he couldn't stop staring. The boy- Viktor- kept gritting his teeth and huffing in annoyance as he moved his fingers on the screen, unaware of the fascinating effect he was having on the little boy next to him.
He didn't dare breathe or ask Vi why he was so upset. Suddenly, as Viktor held his head high, probably sensing his curiosity, he quickly turned away, blushing furiously and mitigating the heath with his hands.
“Can you concentrate! We only have today! I'm not available tomorrow and it's due for Friday!”
Needless to say, he didn't contribute at all for the project, letting the poor pink haired girl do all the work. Vi kept complaining as she kept looking through the computer for some relevant information, and wrote it down, pressing the pen with excessive force.
Jayce's daydreaming about his beautiful prince wizard was interrupted by the door opening. All the children were surprised by the couple that came back, earlier than expected.
“How were they?” Asked Mr. Warwick with groceries in hand.
“All angels.” Responded Viktor, with little Powder still on his lap. Jayce knew the compliment wasn't solely for him, but it was enough to make him feel giddy in the tummy.
“Jayce, do you want to stay for dinner?” Asked the tall man.
“Yes, please.” He eagerly replied, ecstatic about spending more time with his classmates’ mysterious brother.
At dinner he learned a lot about him, by carefully listening to his parents. He learned that he was a top student, who gained a scholarship in a prestigious private school, and apparently was having troubles with his boyfriend.
“I swear, if that rich prick comes here again, I'll throw some stones at his fancy car, that'll teach him!”
“Language, Mylo!”
Despite his scolding, it was clear Mr. Vander wasn't very fond of said boyfriend either. Viktor rolled his eyes back, but Jayce still noticed the screen of Viktor's phone kept lighting up with notifications.
It made him so sad, and also angry, to see Viktor so distraught and fidgety, as he jumped in his seat every time the phone beeped.
After one final ring, he finally decided to turn the sound off.
Jayce politely offered to help Silco and Vander do the dishes.
“What a nice young man.” Said Vander, as he pinched his cheek, he blushed and carefully peeked to see if Viktor caught the compliment or shared said opinion.
However, he didn't seem to have noticed.
The family was surprised by the doorbell ringing, Jayce immediately pouted as he realised his mother had come to pick him up.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Warwick, I hope Jayce behaved.” He blushes, embarrassed and worried Viktor would see him as a little kid.
“He was the perfect guest. Hope you didn't mind we invited him for dinner.”
“Not at all…actually, today they've offered me a promotion, but it requires a particular schedule…I think I'll need to find a babysitter.” He was surprised. He was happy for his mother but also even more distraught now, he didn't want to have a stranger in his home, he didn't need to be watched.
“Viktor is looking for some cash, I assure you he's excellent with the kids, they love him.”
Jayce's eyes twinkled with excitement, as he imagined him and Viktor dining together alone in the candlelight, them going to the park together and holding hands…
“I don't know…” the uncertainty of his mother's tone made him stand up and come immediately next to her.
“Please mommy.” He had been quite shy and silent, so the surprise on Vander and Viktor's faces was expected, as he kept his crush hidden until now. However, he had a job to do, he pulled adorably on his mom's sleeve as he forced his best puppy dog eyes to come out.
His mother let out an amused sigh and smiled. He won.
“Alright, how about ten bucks an hour? Are you free Friday, Viktor?”
“It's perfect, Mrs. Talis, I assure you I'm perfectly fit for the job…besides, Jayce is a really good kid.” Jayce's cheeks were tinted by red, as he felt Viktor's delicate hand gently pat his head.
“Alright, to Friday then.”
The next two days were the longest of Jayce's short life, he couldn't concentrate at school, and kept daydreaming about his future date with Viktor.
Friday, his science project was graded ‘C-’, he received a glare from Vi, who had to finish the project on her own, as he kept ignoring her calls.
He was sorry, but he had to prepare. He stole from his mother her best lotions and perfumes, to be as presentable as possible. Now, one hour away from five, he was in front of the mirror, carefully balancing his weight on a stool, as he combed his hair carefully, and watched for any remains of food on his teeth.
He nearly fell as he heard the doorbell, not realising he must have spent more time than he realised there.
He silently went down the stairs, catching some of the words his love and his mother were exchanging, while still baking protected by the wall of the staircase.
“Put him to bed at 9 and a half, I'll return at 10. Once I get home I'll pay you.”
“Of course.”
Jayce could feel his mother still didn't trust Viktor yet, from what he was able to understand, he didn't have any experience. This made Jayce smile, he was going to be Viktor's only kid, of course. He'd be the best boy ever.
He finally revealed his presence as he walked towards his mother to say his goodbye, eager to be left alone with the babysitter.
His mother bent over to place a wet kiss on his cheek, which he rubbed off with the back of his hand, embarrassed to be seen once again as a kid in front of Viktor.
“Be good, I'll see you tomorrow.”
He nodded, looking up, staring wide eyed at the pretty boy, as he and his mother shared the last details. Finally, the door closed.
Viktor immediately smiled at him, he felt so thrilled to finally have all his attention to himself.
“Alright, Jayce, how about we do your homework?” He nodded eagerly as he felt Viktor hold his hand to gently guide him to the kitchen table.
He used this opportunity to learn more about Viktor, his books were so difficult, he had explained to him that he skipped a few grades and was studying an advanced course. It was so impressive.
He diligently finishes his homework, putting extra effort on making his handwriting neater and fancier, to impress him.
“Good job, Jayce. You're such a smart boy, I think you've earned an extra sweet, but don't tell your mother.” He gave him a playful wink, which made his mouth go dry and heart skip a beat.
He smiled brightly, unable to mask the giddiness he felt and began squirming in his chair. However, the atmosphere was interrupted by Viktor's phone ringing.
The screen displayed that the contact had been saved as ‘Mine❤️’, and that irritated Jayce to no end, jealous of the person who had the privilege to hold Viktor's hand, and, as Jayce blushes thinking about it, kissed him.
Viktor was fifteen, he surely must have kissed his boyfriend, it was so unfair. Why wasn't he born a few years earlier?
Viktor grunted and, after he gave him a scared and indecisive look, he answered.
“I told you not to call me.” He said. Jayce pretended to write something in his book, but he was deeply concentrating on hearing the stranger's words come out of the phone.
“Come on, babe, I know I've made a mistake-”
The stranger's voice was prissy and arrogant, Jayce snarled, disgusted by him.
“Salo, stop calling me, we're over!” Screamed Viktor.
“How about I give you a little gift, mmh? Would you forgive me?”
“I'll tell you how to shove that gift of yours, RIGHT UP YOUR A-” Viktor interrupted himself as he noticed him starting with wide eyes, attention full on him.
“I'm gonna block you now.” His tone was calmer, and more controlled, after a tap on the screen he finally put the phone away to give his attention all to him.
“What's the matter?” He naively asked, he could feel Viktor didn't feel comfortable sharing the information about his personal life, probably thinking he wouldn't understand it.
After another second of Viktor's lack of response, he asked:
“Was that your boyfriend?” It didn't have the usual teasing kids usually used when talking about romance, it was more like an annoyed whine that shocked Viktor.
After a moment of hesitation, Viktor softly smiled, caressing his hair out of his face.
“You don't have to worry about it, I'm here only for you.” Jayce fidgeted in his chair from excitement, giving Viktor a big gap toothed smile.
They spent the rest of the night talking and watching TV, with Jayce subtly invading his personal space by holding his hand or placing his cheek against his shoulder.
“Are you sleepy, Jayce? Do you want to go to bed early?” he clinged even more, as he grasped his hand, shaking his head desperately as he forced himself not to cry. The fact that his time with Viktor was almost over was unbearable, he couldn't wait for another two days.
“Alright. Do you want to keep me company as I do my homework?”
Viktor was exceptional. He stared curiously as his hand moved the pen without hesitation, calculating something that seemed so complex, and it probably was, even for people older than Viktor.
After a few minutes, Viktor closed the book and placed it on his backpack.
“It's time to go to bed. Let's go, Jayce.” He forced himself not to complain or whine, wanting to be an obedient boy for him.
They brushed their teeth together, it was so intimate Jayce could easily imagine them as their parents, preparing to go to bed together.
A naughty thought crossed his mind, when Viktor asked if he needed help to put on his pajamas. He accepted, hoping to add a little more time together.
He blushed furiously as his pudgy tummy was exposed in the cool air, as Viktor kneeled in front of him and helped him fit into his pajamas.
His fingers brushed against his skin as he slowly closed the buttons of his shirt, making his skin shiver and his lower belly tingle, he felt warm like he never felt before.
He helped him get in the bed, and adjusted the covers, as Viktor sat on the edge, he requested a story.
“How about a story about a wizard?” Viktor proposed. Jayce gasped with excitement.
“How did you know that?”
Viktor gave him an unimpressed yet amused glance, as he observed all the posters and fantasy objects decorating his room.
Viktor began his story, which was a blatant rip off of a movie that came out the year before, but he didn't mind. He just listened to Viktor's voice, never breaking their gaze as he gently caressed his hair and his chubby cheeks.
“Can you do magic yet?” He interrupted, making Viktor stop in his story and give him a confused expression.
“What do you mean, little one?”
“The mages in my stories are all old…I've never seen a pretty one before, are you too young to use your staff yet?” Viktor let out a little giggle, which made him embarrassed, aware he had said something naive and stupid. He huffed, annoyed with not being taken seriously.
“Thank you, Jayce. But I'm afraid there is nothing magical about me.” He said as he calmed him down by gently stroking his hair, and gave him a little bop on his nose, making his tear filled eyes gain some sparkle again.
“Goodnight, Jayce.” As he was about to stand up, Jayce clinged to his wrist, grabbing him with a force he didn't know he possessed.
“Wait! My mommy always gives me a goodnight kiss…” He purposefully let his voice be a little higher than usual, hoping to appear more innocent and childlike.
And it worked, Viktor's face softened with affection as he lowered himself to place his lips on his forehead. They were so hot they burned and spread their warmth across his face and body, invading it with a tingly sensation.
“Goodnight, Jayce.”
“Was I good?” He asked, his voice still affected by his kiss.
“The best little boy ever.”
He closed his eyes and heard the door close, he couldn't stop fidgeting in his bed, giggling, excited. He forced himself to be quiet, to convince Viktor he was indeed sleeping. His heart pounded at every movement, he could clearly hear Viktor's steps, his voice as he continued to talk over the phone, to that boyfriend of his surely, even though he swore he had blocked him.
He gritted his eyebrows in irritation. He had a faint idea of what people Viktor's age did when they were together and didn't like the fact that Viktor already kissed someone else that wasn't him.
He let his fingers rest on his lips, imagining how Viktor's ones would feel against his. They were soft and moist, he was sure they would feel even better when placed there, there had to be a reason why grown ups kissed on the lips.
Then he heard the sound of the keys turning and the door opening. He concentrated, not wanting to miss the conversation.
“How did it go? I hope Jayce wasn't any trouble?” Jayce rolled his eyes back, hoping his mother wouldn't embarrass him.
“He was an angel, so behaved, you've raised a very polite little boy, Mrs. Talis.”
Jayce rolled in his bed, proud of being praised by his babysitter, he clearly had made an impression.
From then on he waited for Viktor's visits with obsessive anticipation, clinging to every word and every affection he displayed towards him, and most of all, his so longed goodnight kiss.
He could say they have developed a comfortable companionship, as Viktor now talked to him about his life and routine. He was proud to say he had carved a little place on Viktor's heart.
His stomach growled, as he fatiguely used the money his mother gave him for lunch to afford a beautiful red rose.
He purposely waited for his mother to go away to approach the young man, while hiding it behind his back and squirming left and right in anticipation.
“What do you have there, little one?” Viktor carefully kneeled to reach his level. Now, thanks to the warm weather, Viktor had started to wear little shorts that left his milky thighs completely bare. The fabric tensed as he bent over, rising a little.
Jayce, feeling hot all over, felt his hand burn as he held the flower on his hand, with a sudden movement he presented it to Viktor.
“For you.” He said, his voice breaking.
“Oh Jayce, you got this for me?” He nodded, completely flushed red, and biting the inside of his cheek.
Viktor looked at the rose through half lidded eyes, letting it brush against his lips and nose to taste its perfume.
“Aren't you the gentleman, thank you so much.” He then cupped his cheeks and gave it a soft kiss, thanking him for the gift.
Jayce placed his hand on his face, impending the kiss from floating away, caging the sweet caress on his skin forever.
However, the continuous buzzing of Viktor's phone troubled him to no end. The stupid nickname, accompanied by a red heart kept surfacing. Viktor had lied about blocking him, and he hated that.
When Viktor went to the bathroom, Jayce immediately unblocked the phone, as he remembered Viktor's password and began reading the messages. Some caught his attention as he scrolled.
wanna come to my house later?
Idk.
I know you want to do it again
I don't trust you, it was a mistake
My parents brought me a new car
we could go stargazing?
If you even think about taking me to that place where couples go to fuck in their cars you're surely mistaken
Nothing you haven't done before
Go fuck yourself
Why can't you give me another chance?
Jayce clicked as fast as he could as he felt Viktor walk to the kitchen. He sent the message and fastly put the phone face down, as Viktor left it.
For a few minutes, Viktor helped him with homework, giving him occasional praises when he got an answer right. Which was the main reason he started studying secretly after his night time.
He proudly showed Viktor his ‘A+’ in math and another in English, basking in his praises.
Then, the phone started ringing incessantly. At first, Viktor simply refused the call over and over. Until, at the tenth time, he finally answered, clearly bothered.
“What do you want!” He screamed, turning away from him, not wanting to involve Jayce in his personal life. The voice was angry and loud, but Jayce couldn't figure out what it was saying. So he figured out the conversation by what Viktor was saying.
“Why do you care…I'm babysitting…No! What are you talking about? I don't have a new boyfriend!...I didn't…”
Viktor frowned, listening to the angry voice in his ear, then turned around to face him with an inquisitorial look. He kept humming, not bothering to interact with the caller, and then hung up.
“Jayce…did you send a message from my phone?” He asked. The scolding on his tone was making him tear up and tremble, he couldn't bear to be the object of Viktor's disappointment or anger.
His lower lips began turning, and completely busted in the act, he wasn't smart enough, not lucid enough for the matter, to find an excuse. So, he burst into tears, his cries were loud and incessant.
Viktor, preoccupied, hurried to dry his tears up, gently patting his cheeks and giving him soft caresses.
“I'm not angry, I swear. But why did you do it? You can't use other people's phones!”
Jayce continued to cry, he was aware he was behaving like a much younger child, but in this situation it was much needed to make sure Viktor didn't feel anything negative towards him.
And it worked, from anger to preoccupation to genuine concern, Viktor took him in his arms, caressing his back in comforting circular motions.
“I'm sorry.” He whined, purposely shuttering the words to appear cuter and innocent.
Viktor distanced himself, looking at him in the eyes, while grasping his shoulders for support, seeing his questioning look, Jayce relented.
“He was being mean to you, I don't like him.” He said, hoping to relive the tension, and make himself forgiven.
Viktor brushed his hair away from his face with his fingertips, making Jayce partially calm down in his tantrum.
“Can I be your boyfriend?” As soon as the question left his lips, Viktor jumped in surprise. His face was impossibly red and warm, with his tears marking his cheeks like rivers. He shivered as he stared at his crush. He must have looked like a pathetic kid now, it wasn't supposed to go that way.
Viktor, after the initial stupor, maintained his aura of kindness as he smiled at him, and then took him in his arms. Soothing him with his hugs.
“Oh dear, I'm afraid I'm too old for you-”
“I'll grow up…please!” he forced his quivering voice to settle down, unsatisfactory so.
Viktor looked at him in the eyes, with something Jayce had never seen before. It was a mixture of pity and benevolence, and he hated it.
He hated being little and insignificant, not being taken seriously in his feelings. But it was true, he was indeed too young, but he won't be forever. He knew various of his classmates' parents had a much bigger age difference than him and Viktor.
He'll grow up, he'll be big and strong, and then he'll be worthy of Viktor's affection.
“Can't you wait for me?” He asked, giving him his best puppy eyes he could manage.
“I'll make a promise to you, Jayce. Wait ten years to ask me again, and then I'll give you a chance…though, I doubt you'll still want me.”
“That's not true!”
“You'll definitely fall in love with someone worthy of your affection. Believe me, in a year you'll even forget this exchange.”
Now it was Jayce's turn to cling to him, hiding his hiccups into Viktor's shoulder while he embraced him with desperation.
“Just promise me.” He managed between his crying.
“Ok, I promise you.” He relaxed upon hearing Viktor's voice. It was tense and urgent, clearly with the intention of calming him down.
Jayce smiled into Viktor's shoulder. Ten years was a lot of time, but it was something to grasp on. A hope.
Fifteen years later…
Viktor sighed, as the taxi driver kindly helped him get his luggage. He didn't want to be there, but he let Powder’s pleas get to him.
He was about to turn thirty, and he didn't want to celebrate away from his family. Due to his job and recent promotions, he hadn't seen them for almost a year.
He longed to see them, and felt kinda guilty for his absence. But spending one month in a summerhouse felt like a nightmare.
Now that Powder achieved her scholarship for a prestigious college, just like the rest of them, he guessed their parents got hit by a middle life crisis, and bought a luxurious house to use in the summer, a few steps away from the sea.
Viktor was happy to see his family again, but the thought of spending so much time getting sunburnt and eaten alive by mosquitos was making him anxious.
He hated the sea. When talking on the phone, Silco had explained to him the main intention was to have a comfortable place to reunite in the future. All the members of the family, the current and future ones.
Which was a subtle way to ask if he had found someone, and why wasn't he a grandfather yet.
What a drag…
If only his parents knew how he spent his free time. He had put some of his serious partners over the years on his socials, mostly to inform his family about their existence. But none had lasted more than half a year, and he never bothered to introduce any of them to his family.
But his sexual relationships were mostly casual, almost exclusively so. He had sworn to actually chill, and stop using his cunt to make decisions. His libido had put him in difficult and uncomfortable situations in the past, and now it was time to finally put an end to it.
He guessed this was the right time to actually start, spend one month with his family to relax and catch up, away from any possible trouble.
Now, in front of the house, he noticed it was far more spacious than what it looked like in the photo. Vander and Silco deserved something nice, that was obvious, but it did seem a bit excessive for just a summer house.
“Come inside, dummy!” A familiar scratchy voice shakes him awake. Here was Powder, looking at him from above from one of the windows.
He immediately started to drag his luggage, and approached the door. As soon as he opened it, he was assaulted by Powder's hug. So strong it almost made him lose balance.
He immediately reciprocated, missing the vivacity of his younger sister.
“Stop pestering your brother!” Vander's voice made Viktor distance himself from her, and turn his head where the voice came from.
“He's in the kitchen, come on, I'll introduce you to Ekko.”
The phrase left a bitter taste in his mouth, nostalgic even. Seeing his little sister go to college and even introduce her boyfriend to them made him feel extremely old.
They entered the kitchen, when Silco and Vander were cooking something with a young man with a gentle face and an embarrassed smile.
“Ekko, this is my big brother.” The boy- Ekko- dried his hand by awkwardly using his apron, and then proceeded to shake his.
It was unfathomable that Powder was able to bring his boyfriend for an entire vacation, and even share a room with him at just 19 years old. They would have never allowed him or Vi something like that.
Those were the perks of being Silco's favorite…
“Have Mylo and Claggor arrived?” He asked.
“We're here!” Viktor balanced his weight on his cane as he followed Mylo's voice.
The two were on the floor, between numerous cables, connecting them to the brand new TV.
Viktor wondered how much money they spent on this house. It was enormous.
“Engineer.” Claggor charmingly greeted him.
“Engineers.” He responded.
“We'll show you around the house, and your room. This place is enormous.” Commented Claggor, while pushing his goggles out of his face.
“I've noticed.” He looked around, familiarising with the décor that probably came with the house. It was comforting, very summer-like.
“The door over there goes into a balcony with a glass table and some chairs. Very classy.” Smiled Mylo as he pressed the button to turn the TV on.
As the screen buzzed and came to life the two exchanged a high five, celebrating their success.
“Is the TV working?” Asked Silco, screaming from the kitchen.
“Yes!” Claggor screamed back.
“We're almost over! Let's hope it's enough for 10 people!” Vander’s less aggressive voice revealed, with a hint of doubt.
Viktor, after a fast counting, addressed his brother with a malicious smile.
“So, you invited your girlfriend after all?”
Mylo, blushing, stood up.
“Nah, are you crazy? Me and Gert aren't even official yet. Can't scare her off by introducing her to your weird asses.”
“Look who's talking!” Mylo started walking to the kitchen to argue with Powder. Viktor, however, was still curious about the mysterious plus one.
He gave Claggor a questioning look.
“Not me either. I'm single…also, thank you for keeping me company, I'm getting harassed by these couples.”
After a quick giggle, Viktor resumed his questioning.
“Then who's the other person?”
Then, Powder exited from the kitchen again, with a big box in hand.
“Vi wanted to invite her girlfriend, but she already promised to spend the summer with her best friend, so she invited him too. That's how much of a simp she is.” Her voice became more unheardable as she went upstairs, followed by Mylo, who was also carrying something.
“So, we're basically welcoming a stranger into our house?” He asked. Vi had talked about her girlfriend over the phone, Caroline, no, Kate Lin…Caitlyn, yeah, that's the one, but she never mentioned bringing another guest.
“He's not a stranger, he's also her friend. They were classmates at elementary school, when we lived in Piltover. Remember, the year we moved.”
Commented Mylo, his voice showed he was indeed being fatigued by carrying the box.
“It's the one you babysat.” Puntualised Claggor, taking the box away from Mylo's hands out of pity.
Viktor tried to remember. Sure, he recalled accepting a job. He had applied for a prestigious private school, and got accepted. Between the huge drama with his crazy ex boyfriend, the preparation for the new school and Vander urging everyone to organise their shit because they had to move, the memories about that almost vanished.
He remembered he was a cute kid, adorably chubby with big olive coloured eyes. But he didn't recall his name or much else. He must admit he was curious to see him again. He hoped seeing his previous babysitter won't make him embarrassed.
Many were particularly sensitive about remembering details of their childhood. Everyone had an awkward phase. However, he was more than willing to share embarrassing stories about his sibling to ease him up…he will do it anyway, just to rile Vi and Powder up in front of their significant others.
“Her family is loaded…if we play our cards right they will get even, maybe they'll invite us somewhere nice.” Said Mylo, as he exchanged one malicious look with Powder, already imagining a luxurious vacation.
Viktor rolled his eyes back. He doubted Vi was particularly interested in the wealth of her girlfriend. But knowing her, it was probable she invited her friend to show off her generosity and impress Caitlyn.
He turned around, as he heard the distinguished sound of a message coming from Powder's pocket.
“They're here!” She said, as he hurried down the stairs to welcome them.
Viktor crosses his arms, preparing himself to be participating and engaging with their guests. He waited, listening to his sisters’ voices as he heard their steps come closer.
With short steps, Vi and her girlfriend were welcomed into the house. Viktor immediately started approaching them, eager to meet his new sister in law.
“Cait, this is my big brother, Viktor.” The two exchanged a polite handshake. Soon, Caitlyn was surrounded by everyone, just as ecstatic to introduce themselves.
“Keep the door open, Jayce offered to bring the luggage.” Said Vi, one arm clinging to Caitlyn's waist.
“I'll help him.” Vander exited, while Viktor smiled awkwardly, listening to the people conversing around him.
He could hear his father laugh at something Vi's friend said, as they also approached the door.
Viktor's eyes widened in surprise. Next to his father wasn't, of course, the little boy he faintly remembered, but a tall and extremely attractive man.
The man smiled charmingly at his dad, as he offered to take the luggage upstairs, in his room. He stared longingly at his flexing bicep, tanned and slightly shined by a little veil of sweat.
His perfectly groomed face was a little disturbed by fatigue, as two rebellious strands clinged into his forehead.
Probably feeling his stare, he looked towards his direction and gave him an attractive smile. Like everything else about him, it was contradictory, the cute gap in his teeth, paired with sharp canines.
Viktor bit his lips, imagining how they would feel on his skin, marking him in a primitive way.
The man's eyes sparked with recognition as he left everything behind to greet him.
“Viktor, it's so nice to see you again…it's been awhile.” He said. Viktor refrained from mistaking the sunburn on his face as a blush. He didn't need to get any funny ideas, he was there to relax, not screw his sister's friends.
“Yeah, quite awhile…it's Jesse, right?” As the two shook hands, he would feel the man's grip lose strength, like a puppet without strings, it was like he forgot he had to move.
Upon looking at the man directly once again, he noticed something strange. His eyes seemed disconnected, dark, as he stared at him with a blank expression.
He hoped he didn't offend him.
Then, one blink later, his eyes resumed their sparkle.
“It's Jayce, actually.” He corrected, giggling, in an attempt to ease up the tension. Viktor had a weird feeling he was faking its chirp, but it was probably his paranoia talking.
“How have you been?” Viktor asked, genuinely curious how much time had shaped Jayce, what he liked or studied…
“Very well, thanks. You look exactly the same!” Jayce was so naturally charming and cheerful, but Viktor was able to detect a hint of embarrassment in his tone. It was probable he didn't remember him either.
“I hope not. I'm still ashamed of the fashion choices I made when I was a teenager.” He teased, letting his sarcasm and sharp tone have his effect.
Jayce awkwardly laughed, confirming his supposition.
He observed, impressed, as the man carried the luggage with ease, not even stopping once on the staircase, then he gallantly offered to help with his own.
All of them were suffering the heat and Vi proposed to go to the sea, and have a quick swim.
“Isn't it almost time for lunch?” Asked Viktor, checking the clock on the wall.
“We'll eat at the beach, there's no wind. You go, we'll finish cooking and then catch up to you, don't worry.” Vander proposed, offering to stay behind with Silco.
Viktor was not convinced, and didn't really feel like swimming. But he didn't want to be a party pooper so early in their shared vacation, so he relented.
After a five minute walk, they were already there. Vi showed off, by planting the beach umbrella on the sand, testing its strength by shaking it a little bit.
“Everything's good…let's go.” As soon as she said that, Vi freed herself from her t-shirt and pants and proceeded to run to the sea, followed by a giggling Caitlyn.
Powder, eager to follow her sister, was stopped by a worried Claggor, who, worried for his sister, forced her to apply sunscreen. Viktor couldn't blame him, his pale sister risked becoming a lobster by the end of the day.
After obliging, all three started running to the couple. Ekko and Jayce, more normal minded apparently, smiled, amused by his siblings’ vitality.
“You coming?” Asked Ekko gently, as Power invited him in the water by a swirl of her hand.
He was about to respond, but then his focus was stoked by Jayce, slowly freeing himself from his vest. Fatigued by before, his skin was glistening with sweat, making his athletic physique even more erotic.
“No, I'm gonna stay here and read a little.” He managed, hoping to not have looked like a creep. Also, another reason he preferred the pool was that his cane was completely swallowed by the sand, and always needed a little support to reach and come out of the sea. It was annoying, especially for a proud person like himself, and he surely wasn't going to cling to a stranger to reach his siblings, no matter how hot he was.
He fixed himself a chair, comfortably reading his paper.
He gave some occasional looks to check the situation, as the eldest he guessed you never stop checking your sibling. He laughed as Caitlyn made Mylo fall from Claggor’s shoulder, splashing them all. While Powder tenaciously resisted on top of Ekko.
While they played, Jayce swam by his own, furthering from shore and then coming back repeatedly. After a few rounds, he stood up, fixing his hair backwards and coming towards him.
Viktor was very glad for his sun glasses, as was his lustful and quite impressed gaze. The wet swimsuit clinged to Jayce's skin, hinting and exposing the shape and length of his manhood.
He was also glad for his pale completion, so he could easily make his flushed face pass as a sunburn.
Jayce took his beach towel and carefully placed it next to his, yet away from the shadows. He immediately took his own sunglasses and laid on it, arms behind his neck.
Little droplets of water traveled across his body, mapping if from his pecs to his refined abs. Viktor imagined making the same path with his tongue, envious of the droplets that could already grace and worship Jayce's perfect body.
He swallowed back, ashamed of himself. He promised he would calm down, and most of all, not sleep with his sister's friend. He promised to not repeat the Renata mistake again.
“What are you reading?” Asked Jayce, lowering his glasses to give him a malicious look.
“Oh…some essay about the use of a new polymer to make a lighter prosthesis."
Jayce stretched his neck to see better.
“Ah, this is professor Heimerdinger, I'm quite familiar.” Viktor's eyes widened in surprise.
“I didn't expect for an English major to be so cultured in Engineering.” He said, unable to hide his admiration, letting his voice be a little more flirty than necessary.
“I'm actually a mechanical engineer. Me and Vi study in the same college but have different majors.”
“Oh, I expected you to study the same thing…it's quite a coincidence you found each other after many years apart.”
Viktor couldn't decipher Jayce's expression. He cockily smirked, like a person with a secret does.
“Yeah…destiny, I suppose.” He did it again, there was this malice in his tone, like a punchline of a joke he didn't understand.
“You're almost finished?” Viktor asked, changing the topic.
“Yeah, it's my last year. I already got offered a job as soon as I finish my master.”
“That's great.” He said, opening the book again. Hoping to have ended the conversation.
For a while, he continued reading, giving Jayce a few occasional checks. He was laid down, kissed by the sunrays as he slept. He was so effortlessly handsome Viktor could have been jealous if another emotion wasn't way stronger.
He noticed Jayce still had his sunglasses on. That would become a very bad and ugly tan, so he crawled a few steps to take the glasses away from his face.
However, when he did, he found Jayce's olive coloured eyes staring back at him. His mouth was open and breathy and his chest raised and emptied itself unusually fast.
“Sorry! I thought you were asleep!” He was so embarrassed, his intentions were innocent, but quite difficult to explain.
Jayce sat, raising himself using his elbows and gave him a funny glance.
“Aren't you hot?” Viktor blushes and after a moment of confusion he understood what he meant. He was still fully clothed, with his vest and shorts.
“Only a bit…I can't reach my back, so I figured it would be easier than applying sunscreen.”
“My hands are dry now.” He said, giving him a childish smile and raising his hands up in a demonstrative gesture.
Not thinking much, he carefully stood up, letting his shorts fall slowly on his feet, blushing as he felt Jayce's heated gaze from below him.
Sitting down again, he took off his shirt, and as soon as he did so he found Jayce staring at his chest with spaced out eyes.
He looked down and understood the reaction, he blushed furiously as he forgot to remove his nipple piercings before leaving the house. He forced himself to not cover his chest with his hands, the situation was already embarrassing enough, he couldn't act like a shy schoolgirl.
So, he began applying the sunscreen by himself, purposely letting his fingers wander a little too much in his chest area. A little teasing couldn't hurt.
With the same cockyness, he laid on his towel, giving his back to him. He bit back a smile. If Jayce was shocked about his piercing, he couldn't wait to see the reaction for this.
It was one of his first acts of rebellion, right after the coloured hair and the ear piercings. At seventeen, his boyfriend of the time had managed to bring him to a tattoo shop, the artist didn't ask for his id, and this was the result.
In his defence, it was very trendy at the time, and was easily convinced. That was the reason why his lower back, decorating his back dimples was a tramp stamp. It was quite a simple design, common. A swirly patterned one, symmetric, that slightly resembled a butterfly.
“I can't reach my back.” He repeated, as flat as he could. He bit back a smile as he watched Jayce squirm and hurry up, immediately squirting the substance on his back.
Viktor refrained from moaning. Jayce's hands were strong and rough to the touch, mysteriously calloused, as they massaged his back and shoulders. He wondered how such a polished boy had managed to obtain such hands. Everything about him was so intriguing. His hands now clinged to his waist, almost completely closing around it. Dirty images began forming in his mind, Jayce, holding him from his waist as he rode him fastly and furiously.
The sensation was so good he subconsciously let out a purring sound. He could feel his pussy throb, aching from its emptiness, wet from his dirty thoughts and Jayce's caresses.
His fingers were thick and decisive. While he had to use three to finger his pussy, he was sure just two of Jayce's will suffice, effortlessly stuffing him.
Viktor mentally slapped himself, forbidding said thoughts from his head. How fucking pathetic was he? To lust after a man he had met more than a decade ago AS A CHILD! Jayce would surely be uncomfortable even thinking about it.
He was his babysitter, he probably was happy to see him again, fueled by that special nostalgia you reserved for things from your childhood. Besides, he reminded himself once again, he swore he would have learned how to close his legs once and for all.
His previous experiences didn't teach him enough if he was still considering fucking Jayce…
His hands suddenly stopped working. Viktor turned around, thanking him with cheerful innocence. Jayce replied, and put the bottle of sunscreen in one of the bags.
He rose up with his elbows, being pulled by the magnetism of Jayce's eye, he stared back. His attention was fortunately taken by the voice of his fathers, which could be heard approaching.
Upon seeing Vander and Silco, the others exited from the water and hurried, eager to finally have lunch.
Jayce laughed with Cait and Vi, sharing funny stories about their collage days. He was so effortlessly charming, easily involving everyone in the story.
What Jayce, probably, didn't know was that his glasses weren't as dark as he imagined. Viktor could clearly see that even though his head and body language addressed the person he was speaking to, Jayce's eyes didn't leave him for one second.
