Chapter Text
Constantine made I weird deal with a God. And he was paying for it.
He was currently puking his guts out at 2 AM while Nanaue rubbed his back. It was ment to be a nice gesture but he's pretty sure king shark feels guilty and doesn't know what to do.
"Better" Nanaue asked as John laid his head on the toilet.
"A little bit mate" John lifted his head before he ran both his hand down his face "I wish I could have a bloody drink though"
"No. Bad for baby" Nanaue said and he put his hand on John's stomach "but food may help. Are you hungry"
"I could eat, as long as it has limes or lemons mate" John said as he got up of the floor.
They both made there way to the kitchen where king shark sat John down so he could rest while he cooked.
As John looked at Nanaue he remembered what got him in this hole mess. It was 2 months ago when he was given a deal of a life time with one small catch. He had to raise a kid.
Not just raise but he had to have one to, with someone else, but the reward was far greater then the down side. John would get full ownership of his soul the day the child is born with all the benefits he got for selling it in the first place.
John was going to say yes no matter the down side. But there was a huge Klaus, he had to actually raise the kid with the other parent.
When he asked why the God only laughed.
"This will not be the child's first life, he died before he was able to do the great things he was destined for, and his first life and family were not the greatest, that is why I wish to give him a knew life with a real family" the God said as he held a glowing orb of galaxy colors.
"But from my under standing realms beings are a form of the dead, how is this one any different" he finished talking by lighting is cigarette.
"He is a rare breed, one with a mortal body. Not only that but he is to be king, and sence no ghost put him in this state, the realms is out a king" the God removed his hand from the orb as it stayed in place to conger up a contract "do we have a deal"
"We do. But after I sign this i want I copy, got that mate" John took out his cigarette and crushed it on the floor before he searched for a pen in his trench Coat "bloody hell. Mate do you hav-"
When john looked up the being was holding up a golden feather. The hole process wasn't that hard but when it was over the God looked at him and smiled.
"Can I at least give a name, I can't make you the godfather without one" John said as he skimmed the contract.
"Clockwork" the God said and he disappeared time reverding back to normal.
John was shoked out of his thoughts as Nanaue placed a Glace of sour lemon water in front of him, one of the only cravings he's had so far.
"Thanks love" John didn't even wait for a response before he chugged the offered glass. When he sat it down there was another one right next to him, this one he dicided to drink normally.
"Hidrating is good" Nanaue was at work cooking something that smelled heavenly, from what John could see it was a pasta dish.
The rest of the meal was spent with John just stuffing his face as Nanaue smiled at him as he ate his own dish.
The next morning John lost his midnight meal with Nanaue by his side.

month 5
"Nanaue, while your out could you pick me up two burgers a large fry and a chocolate milkshake from Freddy's" John isn't going to lie, he prefers these cravings over the citrus from the first few months.
"But I make dinner" king shark said in a sad voice as he rubbed John's belly, luckily since it's a magic pregnancy he doesn't have much of a stomach but it's still there.
"Yeay in six hours mate, me and the baby are hungry, if the baby wants something he's.gonna.get.it" John punctuated the last few words with kisses to the shark he loves.
"I get if one burger is replaced with salad" the shark kissed John before kissing his stomach.
"Stop that" John laughed and Nanaue kept kissing his stomach "fine get me the salad love"
With that they shared one last kiss before king shark left for the store leaving John alone.
It always put a smile on his face when Nanaue was happy about the baby, that's why he hasn't told the shark the real reason he's pregnant. It would break his heart to learn.
That the real reason that John is pregnant is from a deal and not cuz he wanted to have a kid with him. And even though that's the reason now, that John loves him so much, he can't tell him the real reason their having a kid.
John sat down as he reached for his pocket, stopping before he got to it reminding himself he can't smoke right now. Can't have something to calm him. Incase it would harm the kid.
He put his face in his hands as he started to tear up. He loves Nanaue, but doesn't know if Nanaue will love him he found out the truth.
John started to laugh at himself and the baby, becoming a mess of emotions and hormones.
"You love," he looked at his stomach as he began to talk "are making things very difficult for me. But what can I say, you probably get that from me"
When john was done he felt something, it was a buzzing sensation in his stomach followed by pressure in his lower abdomen.
"Danny," it was one thing the God was adamant about, the child's name was to be Danny, it was his name from his first life. "Are you kicking"
The buzzing got stronger for just a moment before it went back to normal. John's hopping that everything will be fine he realy is hoping, for Nanaue sake.

month 7
John was pissed. He was called in for a job by the JLD, he was hoping he could avoid anything with the JL till the baby was born but it was just his luck.
He didn't want to risk Danny getting hurt, but he can't just say that, no one knows he's pregnant aside from Nanaue and the God.
When john got to the meat site he wasn't surprised to see the bat and zatana already waiting for him.
"What do you have for me batsy" as he stopped right in front of the two putting his hands in his pockets "I don't have all day" he really didn't, he was having dinner with Nanaue tonight.
"Me and zatana have been looking into something for the past 7 months, and she said you may have some answers" batman begrudgingly said.
"What do you know of Kronos, the God of time" zatana asked the big question and John wasn't going to lie he was sweating bullets.
"Not much, why would you think I did" Ok John was realy nervous now, and he hopes the bat can't tell "but from what I know he's a realms being"
The meeting didn't last long before John had to go but he could tell they weren't finished.
"You think he's lying" Zatana asked as she looked towards batman.
"Hn"
"Wanna look into it or just ask him"
"I think we should look into it, by the way he looked he has more to do with it then he was letting on"

month 8
John woke up feeling worse then ever. It was like he had 5 hangovers at once and just stoped spinning for an hour. He tried his best to get up but failed miserably. And by fail he means fall.
He hit the floor with a loud thud. He didn't even try to get up, just laid there as he looked at the ceiling. He could hear footsteps coming his way before the sound of the door opening.
"Are you fine" he could hear the voice the man he loved coming closer.
"I think I'm sick love" John Wined out as he covered his eyes to block the light "mind helping me to the bathroom I can't move my legs"
"Both ok" Nanaue asked as he helped John off the floor "not hurt to bad"
"No. The buzz I's still there but it's spiking before going back down. From what I can tell the kid is doing this even if he didn't mean to. The kid isn't exactly hu-" John was cut off by needing to empty his stomach out "human, for all we know he might look like you" John chuckled before puking again.
"Baby doing this. You sure" Nanaue had a sad tone as he looked down to John's stomach.
"Well the baby is coming next month. you never know what might happen in a magec pregnancy, I'm just hoping that birth isn't to painful" John chuckled, it was the one thing he didn't think about. How was the kid going to exit his body.
"You need drink" Nanaue made his way to the door "tea good"
"Tea sounds lovely mate" John decided to lean back on the bathtub as he waited for Nanaue.
It only took a fee minutes for him to come back to John with a hot cup of tea, from the smell it was chamomile with a bit of honey.
"Still hot, be careful" Nanaue handed the cup over to John as he sat beside him. After John took a sip he spoke again "want bath"
"I'd like that mate" John took another sip of his drink before he handed it over and taking an offered hand from Nanaue, who sat him down on the tub before handing over the drink again "thanks love"
"You take bath. I make food"
"I like that deal" John held up a hand before Nanaue could leave "can I get a kiss first" the shark Leaned down and showed a big sharp toothy grin.
"Ask and you get" he said before leaning down and kissing John before leaving for the kitchen.
John Leaned over to start the tub. At the moment he wants a cold bath to bring down his temp.
It doesn't take long for the bath to fill with cold water allowing John to get in. When his body was submerged he closed his eyes. He has one more month to go before danny isn't making him sick or having weird cravings. But he's going to miss the buzzing he feels when danny is portraying his feelings to John.
He was left to his own thoughts for awhile enjoying the cold water and the buzzing in his stomach. It was peaceful to know the buzzing was from his kid when he was happy, it's one of the only things he knows of Danny so far.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
John was awoken from his thoughts as Nanaue came into the bathroom with two plats of food, the only thing he could smell was toast and eggs. No meat he guesses.
"Food for my love and baby" Nanaue sat down the plates in front of John before sitting down next to him "Why water cold"
"The baby likes cold love" John sat slightly more up so he could eat "I see there's no meat mate" John picked up a piece of fruit from one of the plates and ate it. John knows that they didn't have fresh oranges at home, how long has he been in this bath.
John looked down at his hands. Seeing them normal, but something was off. He knows he's been in the water long enough for it to show but why doesn't look that way.
"Mate. Hoe long have you been gone" he looked Nanaue in his eyes as he asked, hoping nothing was showing in his voice.
"2 hour" Nanaue looked worried as he took John's hand, looking into his eyes "Ok. Yes?"
"I think the baby has magic already. He probably just wanted to swim" John started laughing as he thought it over. He started to feel fine once he got in the water. He can't tell if it's the water or the temp, but he hasn't felt this good in awhile.
John calmed down a bit before he started to eat again, he's pretty sure he'll be fine when danny gets here, but it doesn't mean he'll be ready.

Month 9
John was painting Danny's room. Based on the way his core looked he went for a space themed nursery, the ceiling had magic stars that showed real Constellations, that shifted by the rotation of the earth.
The crib is shaped like a rocket, John made it so it could actually move to rock the baby to sleep.
Everything in the room had some form of space themed item. Except one thing. Nanaue had the concern of the baby wanting or needing water, so in the corner of the room is a small tank for danny if he wants it.
He knows he's doing to much but he wants Danny to know he's loved. From the little he knows of his past life, his parents weren't the best and he wasn't able to express his interest.
John knew that what he was doing was right by the feeling of the buzzing in his stomach.
Nanaue came up behind him, Rapping his arms around John's middle, before leaning down to kiss his cheek.
"Room look nice" Nanaue places his head on top of John's head as he said that "baby like"
"From what I can tell, the little bugger loves it. I least I hope that's what the buzzing means any way" John turned around so he could be facing Nanaue "I just hope he's still happy when he's actually in the world and it's not just my opinion"
"Our cub will be happy" Nanaue kissed John on the forehead before resting it under his chin "don't worry. Worry bad"
"Don't think I don't see you stressing about the baby to mate" John Leaned closer to Nanaue as he laughed "now" John Leaned back "let's get some sleep. It'll be awhile till we can sleep soundly"
John tried to back away but Nanaue picked him up before he could leave.
"Hey worn a guy next time" John laughed as Nanaue spun them.
"Happy John, happy baby" they bother laughed as Nanaue walked them to bed for a good night's sleep.

Hi Danny
John shot up in the middle of the night fighting down the urge to puke and he tried to make his way to the bathroom. Stumbling on his way, needing to hold on to the wall as he walked.
He almost fell when he got to the toilet, not being able to hold anything in anymore. He felt miserable at the moment.
John went to touch his stomach but his hand went through it. But not completely, he felt something.
When he pulled his hand out he looked at it before placing it on the toilet l. When nothing happened something came to mind.
Danny was coming. And it was alot weirder then he thought.
He reached his hands back into his stomach, trying to not think of how weird it felt, and fished around for Danny.
It wasn't hard. He was the only solid thing inside John's stomach. Once he got a grip on Danny's stomach he started to pull. It hurt more then John thought it would.
It took so long before John stated to see Danny, and the feeling didn't make it easier.
John kept poling until the pain stopped. And when it stopped the crying began. A sound John thought would never bring him joy.
When he looked at his baby his first thought was something weird.
"You look more human then I thought"
