Not for loss and not for gain
I don't care how much is left so
Please just make it worth my pain
I don't care for love or sorrow
Life and death is all the same
Does it matter who survives when
World goes up in fire and flame
Blood and torture - open season
Mass destruction - rather tame
Please just don't kill just for killing
It's a heart, it's not a game
There are times when all I wonder
Are the ways that people hurt
When I wish to read of battles
Where their lifeblood soaks the dirt
There are times I read of joking
There are finding love and joy
There are steamy nights together
Vengeance raising to destroy
Just don't promise happy ending
Then make it not worth my while
Loving people just for losing -
